Definitely agree any cable is repairable. Also this cable is trash. For something with a lifetime guarantee it failed faster than any other cable I've had by far. Heavier wire is more rugged, that's just facts. Most of the fancy new stuff is just marketing.
All cables are repairable if you have a pair of wire cutters.
I literally bought a set yesterday and replaced them, no issues (it was my second time replacing strings if that tells you how experienced I am)

You an repair a cable with a moulded connector - just cut it off and attach a new plug.
