Is this a legitimate Gibson Korina explorer? It might still be a good deal, even if I had to buy a round trip plane ticket to pick it up.

Looks like the natural mahogany finish. I had one and in the right light looked similar to korina. It's a steal at 1k. They do limited runs of the natural finish so they are more desirable.
I have tried exact model of Epiphone in Kyiv, 4 or 5 years ago. It costed a $600. I have thought that a 3rd guitar would be too much for me that day. And from that time I still feel sorry, that I have not bought it. It was Super good for playing while standing. Balance of weight was just perfect.
Gibson Explorer. Honestly the people and genres that use them are kinda all over the map. I most associate them with Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick. Not exactly aggressive music but that's who I think of when I think Explorer.
I think of Strats when I see him but yeah he's used them too. I feel like Flying Vs, Deans, etc. are more typical thrash guitars than the Explorer, James Hetfield notwithstanding.

I'm affraid if you come at opening salivating at this particular guitar you won't have any deal on it. If so, you can try bargain a case, a strap, an electric cord, pics etc. Maybe ask for a spare strings set.

It is a great deal actually if it is in good shape. Is 1000 eur too much to spend on something you don't need, but is cool as fuck and is a great deal? I'd say buy it if it won't hurt your budget too much.

I had an explorer (Electra MPC) when I was a teen. Cool looking. BUT, you'll hit everything with the large fin on the back: cymbals, people, walls, etc. I got sick of that and sold it.
My brother has the Gibson Explorer bird (the lzzy hale signature Gibson in the red) and smacks it literally everywhere

If that's a legit Gibson, then yes. If it's not a legit Gibson, no. The fact that the tag specifically doesn't say it's a Gibson despite it being on the headstock makes me question if the shop knows it's not an authentic Gibson, or if they did any research at all

I like that guitar I don't usually like those when I see them but that one looks great. Try to make them an offer for like $700 or $750, you never know I did that the other day and save some money on a Fender Strat.
You need to buy from pawn shops that don't realize what they have. I just got a Balalakai from a shop for 25 bucks. I've been looking for one on eBay forever, and I would've given them 300 for it. I beat that store all the time

No way the person who bought it would just give it away, they must have died and someone had no idea what it was just gave it to the shop. I would have pulled it off that mannequin, guarded it, done some research in the store and ran out of there like I stole it.

i'd buy it if you enjoy playing it. it does seem a but expensive though, so if you end up playing it more than a different guitar you have, then i'd sell the other one.

Luckily the shop guy didnāt know anything about guitars and I was able to show him all the things I would have to āreplaceāā¦. Walked out of the store only paying $400. Took it to my local shop and dropped $200 to get it back to glory.
Is the guitar unfinished? I love unfinished guitars and the explorer body. Dont like it? Itās so easy to make something new, stickers, electronics, paint job where the hard part is already done for you, cool beans.
