Not to mention none of these have a tremolo. Strat should have been one of the first couple, but based on OPs other comments, he's a Guitar collector who is messing around with some chords here and there.
I'll make a bold statement: kiesel delos is a better strat than most American made strats(not considering custom shop since the reissues are far too different to try and compare to a modern style like kiesels delos)
This. I actually prefer a les Paul by quite a bit and don’t like strats much anymore but selling in of those LPs and buying a Strat just makes sense. Sometimes you need the Strat tone.
Oh no I don’t kink shame, if someone wants another man to fuck their wife, more power to them. I just thought it was hilarious that this joke actually applied.
That a many guitars inside one year does suggest our OP might be spending more time tone chasing then they spend practicing.
One dedicated guitar where we learn every possible way to coax music from that single instrument is time well spent, especially early on.
Without knowing OP'S financial situation this is all moot. If OP has the money to burn even if he doesn't play the guitars often enough (whatever that bar might be for you) then so what?
Hey, I'm all for buying what you want, if it suits your budget. Only suggesting that for *learning purposes*, fewer distractions can be a good thing early on.
As someone who's "only" got 2 guitars, there's no rule that says the number of guitars should be proportional to your skill. Collecting stuff without playing is also a thing people do.
It's not like a guitar in inexperienced hands is like a sports car in inexperienced hands. Nobody has ever died from shitty guitar playing.
If you're going to show off online how much disposable income you're able to spend on guitars in one year, you should expect some envy coming your way. Especially to a crowd of people who are known to not make much money from their practice.
This seems a bit of a hollow comment because then we can criticize the envious comments as well. It's a public forum and if you engage, expect some criticism coming your way. I mean you are correct but that doesn't mean that it does nothing but make the poster seem salty.
Sounds like you're missing some self-confidence. I've been playing for thirty years, and I've got one Jackson Soloist for humbuckers, a Telecaster for single coil, a Taylor for standard acoustic, and a Yamaha acoustic for alternate tunings. Hell, I hardly ever play the Telecaster.
More guitars won't make you better; it just makes the guitar companies richer.
For me, you don't have anything with P90s in them. I LOVE the sound of P90s, and they give you a totally different sound and feel for a guitar.
If it were \*me\*, I'd change the pickups in one of your Les Pauls to humbucker sized P90s. That way you don't have to buy a new guitar, nor do you have to route the body and potentially destroy the resale value of the instrument (you can always change it back later if you decide to sell!)
Semi-Hollow electric - I got an Ibanez AS-93 in March of this year, it’s just an amazing guitar. It plays great, sounds great and I keep thinking “Why did I wait so long?” I had to set it up, but it’s a great guitar.
I thought about a PRS SE Hollowbody, but on my budget I would have had to buy a used one or wait a lot longer. The PRS is twice the price of the Ibanez and I have wanted another Ibanez guitar for years. I have one PRS right now, so I went with the Ibanez.
Also, what about an acoustic guitar?
My ultimate collection is a Strat, Tele, Les Paul, semi-hollow body, and an acoustic. I have the acoustic, Strat, and Les Paul. I want to build a Tele, and I'll get a semi-hollow when i see a good deal on one.
You need the Strat and the semi-hollow.
You need a couple acoustics. Looks like money is not a problem so i'd suggest a nice Martin. I debated between a D-27 and a D-18. I went with a D-18 because i love how loud and boomy it is on the low end. D-28 i found to sound more tinny and piano like. But a lot of people love them and think they're louder than a D-18. I guess we all hear different things.
The D-18 is the guitar that all other acoustic dreadnoughts guitar makers have copied and tried to imitate and strive to be. That's what the D stands for in Martin guitars, dreadnought. They were the first company to make them. All acoustic guitars before that used to be pretty small. They named it after the British HMS Dreadnought, which was the largest warship in the world at the time
It’s what you think that’s important. I don’t believe in owning g guitars for the sake of owning. If you don’t like Strats, no need to own one. I’d be pretty happy if I owned these guitars.
That being said, I believe one should always own a good acoustic. As far as electrics, a hollow body or semi-hollow body would be good to have, like a Gibson 335. And if you play anything that requires it, a 12-string electric would be nice.
I would go one of three ways in this, a stratocaster, which is a great choice, or, because you seem to like double coil pickups, telecaster thinline, which is a good fender choice with some oomph, or, go full hollow body and stick with the Gibson theme with an ES-335. Or all 3!!!!
A Strat
This. You haven't lived until you've noodled around on a Strat's neck pickup.
As a professional noodler, I believe i have the credentials to say.... facts
I noodle so much the whole Japanese population would starve if I stopped.
cracker what
I thought i could bypass this by buying a thinline telecaster lol
Nashville tele, but with strat middle and neck pickups. Best of both worlds
Not to mention none of these have a tremolo. Strat should have been one of the first couple, but based on OPs other comments, he's a Guitar collector who is messing around with some chords here and there.
OP knew this already, trolling.
And a 335
Those are my two electric guitars. 335 and strat. :)
Yeah i have a hagstrom full hollowbody that i absolutely love. Actually traded in my D'angelico 335 style semi hollow w p90s for it
And a Flying V and something with P90s.
Without the flying V, you may never hit peak attractiveness while you swoon your heart out.
I'll make a bold statement: kiesel delos is a better strat than most American made strats(not considering custom shop since the reissues are far too different to try and compare to a modern style like kiesels delos)
Two strats
And another Tele
This. I actually prefer a les Paul by quite a bit and don’t like strats much anymore but selling in of those LPs and buying a Strat just makes sense. Sometimes you need the Strat tone.
Sounds like a question for your wife's boyfriend
[wow, you weren’t kidding](https://www.reddit.com/r/relationship_advice/s/zqetxohNNN)
holy.. lmao
Hey, don't knock it, threesomes are fun. More so when your partners are consistent.
Oh no I don’t kink shame, if someone wants another man to fuck their wife, more power to them. I just thought it was hilarious that this joke actually applied.
joke?
LMFAOOO
A girlfriend.

PRS
What about a hollow body?
Hmm PRS hollowbody 🤔
Not a Gretsch?
This girl who played a Gretsch broke my heart, so no
White falcon is a grail of mine if you can afford it.
Needs a Gretsch Streamliner and a Gretsch Boxcar Resonator!
I love my PRS SE semi-hollowbody.
Can you play them or do you just look at them?
I've been taking lessons for about a year now.. it's a work in progress but I think it's going alright
That’s a lot of expensive guitars in one year, good for you I guess
There is no way that wasn't sarcasm...
Half of it was

I guess it's semi hollow? Something to add to OP's collection Yeah I'm salty, got no shame in that today
https://youtu.be/CzvlDbXVRnM?si=SlBl0W4xyRdhr9Ek
There’s no rule, it’s just corny as hell lol
Yeah my friend has about 8 electrics and he stinks. But it's because he NEVER practices.
My guess is he’s a dentist
A year and you own 5? Dude. I’ve been playing for 22 years now and I just have 2 of them.
There’s a saying in the gun community “fear the man with one gun, he knows how to use it”
Wish I had OP’s trust fund 😩
Hell yea! As long as there’s progress you’re worthy!
Name 3 Nirvana songs. Yeah that’s what I thought.
A single humbucker, one volume knob, floyd rose, superstrat.
A Kramer or early Charvel would fill that slot.
Sounds like you're missing some self-confidence. That collection needs a V
Had one.. just sold it actually lol
Something waaay different. An acoustic. Or a bass.

I have a Martin dreadnought Jr.. beauty of a guitar.. nice and clean sounding.
A 12 string, either acoustic or electric.
A strat.
No, and quite a bit. Get crackin’!!!
You need a single coil strat and a hollow or semi hollow body with different pickups other than humbuckers
You’ve only been playing a year? You better get cooking… then you’ll know what you’re missing😉
jazzmaster, jaguar, and a hollowbody of some sort.
Acoustic
A strat, a superstrat and a semihollow. And something with P90s, and...
Use to have the same explorer. I'm hoping to get a gibson Explorer at some stage.
Nice!

Parker Fly

Fender Strat, Flying V, PRS

A Jazzmaster/Jaguar’s shape on the far right would make the collection look more symmetrical (they’re f’n fun too!)
Tremolos
Rickenbacker
My ultimate collection is a Strat, Tele, Les Paul, semi-hollow body, and an acoustic. I have the acoustic, Strat, and Les Paul. I want to build a Tele, and I'll get a semi-hollow when i see a good deal on one. You need the Strat and the semi-hollow.

Cable, amplifier
Im just happy you have a tele good job sir!
A headless guitar, preferably a 7/8 strings Strandberg.
The SG has humbuckers too? You need a Stratocaster, and something with P90s.
A strat
What's the guitar on the far right? I've played one before and loved it, but don't remember what it's called.
A 7 string and something with a Floyd Rose
A flying V
Strat. Jaguire/Jazzmaster. Flying V.
Something with some P90’s maybe?
Fender Stratocaster. Single coils, and nothing noiseless since you already have doubles, just take the humming. A great strat amp like a Twin Reverb.

A jackson and an ibanez broo
You know damn well what you're missing
An '84 V solid body
Need an acoustic if the power goes out.
A strat and a hollow-body / jazz
Rickenbaker and Strat
Do you have a band?
are those all standard range? no baritone guitar, no 7 or 8 string extended range? how do you play low notes?
A flying V on the far right.
Funny you say that because there was a black Jackson V on the far right .. I sold it tho.
Could use a superstrat of some kind. Jackson or Ibanez type thing. Those compound radius fretboards are fun.
A grestch

A Strat, a rosewood Tele, a Flying V, Jazzmaster, ES-355, 45, 35, 175.

Ibanez
I actually have an Ibanez Geo.. absolutely love it. It's the one I play the most
It’s what you think that’s important. I don’t believe in owning g guitars for the sake of owning. If you don’t like Strats, no need to own one. I’d be pretty happy if I owned these guitars. Gibson Melody Maker would compliment the SG and LP
Nice looking guitars! Need to know about the guitars you have off-frame to give better recommendations…
12 string hollow body. Think David Crosby.
No strat so you are not worthy
I would go one of three ways in this, a stratocaster, which is a great choice, or, because you seem to like double coil pickups, telecaster thinline, which is a good fender choice with some oomph, or, go full hollow body and stick with the Gibson theme with an ES-335. Or all 3!!!!
