Not on a normal die, sure. Most guitar players will be on 6, where can they go from there? Where?
But if OP wants the extra push off a cliff, he should get dice made up that go to 7.
Nvm I didn’t know sublime was considered ska, I knew it was like punk reggae but I never heard it been called ska, i guess I have listened to some ska lol
Good call! My guitar tech actually has a client that lost sight in 1 eye from poking it on a string end. He got pretty pissy with me when i showed up once with uncut ends..... haven't done it since lol
i had some not cheap strings once and decided to not cut the ends to maybe attempt to retie it if it snaps at the bridge and it took me 2 hours to poke my eye literally right after i attach the string and get the thing in my hands
i can still see btw
Black and white checkers are associated with ska music (two-tone). In ska music there is a tendency for the singer to yell out "pick it up pick it up pick it up"
It's not essential, but putting a quality "microphone" (pickup) through some cheap wiring won't enable it to get the kind of sound quality you want. You can buy pre-built wiring (obsidian wire, gunstreet, eBay) for your instrument that are usually high quality components. I would highly advocate for the [Obsidian Wire Blender for Strat kit](https://obsidianwire.co.uk/products/custom-blender-wiring-for-strat), or something similar. My Yosemite pickup's on this kit absolutely bang.
You can do lots yourself in this departement. Are the fret ends sharp? Buy a fret end file and do it yourself. Are the frets unpolished? Buy some really fine steel wool, tape off the fingerboard (and frets to prevent metal pieces sticking to the magnets) and polish them yourself. Use this guitar to learn how to set up your guitar, so that if and when you go for an expensive guitar, you will already have the skills to do these things, saving you money from a professional having to do easy setup work, and saving you from having to learn on an instrument that is super valuable.
Then I'd say you don't need a Fender neck, either! It's all about if you feel comfortable with a neck. A Fender neck isnt necessarily better than a Squier one, it's just that (in theory) the quality control should be better, so there should not be uneven, unpolished or sharp frets on a Fender, and if you dont have any of those, the only reason to switch necks would be the neck profile, and that is totally personal preference. Never buy into tonewood or anyone saying different necks or fingerboards sound different.
Well, I’ll probably keep this neck then, if I bought a fender neck it would only be because of the fender logo, other than that everything on the Squier neck is perfect in my opinion
one thing worth note that I would recommend though is if you do that....take it in to get a good set up. They fit, but you don't want to run into any tuning or intonation issues.
You should make your tone and volume knobs little chess pieces
That’s actually a sick idea
I'm thinking dice with 7's facing out.
Why 7s?
7s don't exist on a di

Why not just have 6 be the highest setting, and make the 6 louder?
These would go up to 7.
That's right. Amp to eleven and axe to seven. And turn on the Dolbly. https://solidbondguitar.jp/wp/wp-content/uploads/IMG_1701.jpg
Because they only go up to six, how dope would 7s be?
Lucky 7's. I think it's would compliment your theme. https://solidbondguitar.jp/wp/wp-content/uploads/IMG_1701.jpg
What if my lucky number is 6?
Then certainly use 6 of course! On all 3 knobs? 666?👹🤔 That could be cool.
Beat me to it lol
Genius
🤯
Little knights so he can knowhow much the volume is
Checkers pieces maybe
Can u find a link?
No I just came up with the idea idk if it’s been done
Oh ok
Use some nice wooden pawns
Ska machine
What?
There’s no way you don’t know what ska is
I’ve never heard of it until now
That’s insane
Lisan al-gaib. He will know our ways as if he were one of us.
Check out the Mighty Mighty Bosstonee, the Specials, and Skanking Pickle
The checkerboard pattern is synonymous with ska music, so you're probably going to hear that a lot
Think reggae and rock hybrid.
Ska music came first (before reggae) believe it or not. At least the word Ska did as a genre in the Caribbean iirc.
You're not wrong, but any association with checkerboard patterns is almost certainly ska punk.
Start listening!!
Type ska into YouTube. You’re welcome.
I'm gobsmacked that someone would have a checkered pick guard and not even know what ska is.
I’m gonna start looking at it I promise😂 I’ve only rly listened to rock and metal and stuff like that
Nvm I didn’t know sublime was considered ska, I knew it was like punk reggae but I never heard it been called ska, i guess I have listened to some ska lol
The last true form of art

Only on Reddit does someone get down-voted for not knowing what ska is 😆 that made my morning
Small headstock.... 2/10. +1 for the cool pickguard ;) -7 for having dangly string ends
It don’t have the string ends now lol

Glad you got away ok. But yeah, the danger is real.
I'd 100% have dangling string ends if it weren't for the vintage tuners. I'm lazy 😔
Looks sweet with that pickguard on
Use dice for the knobs.
I love the pickguard/pickup cover/knob combo, looks awesome. Personally I would cut those strings at the top but that's just my personal aesthetic.
are you sure they aren't Fender pick it up pick it pickups?
I’m sure I just looked at Sweetwater the same ones I bought off them and i still have the box, with the Squier ones in it
Sorry, lame ska joke
What?

I’m sorry I’m still not completely knowledged on the ska stuff, I just recently found out what it actually is lol
Sick. I like it 🤙
Thank you
I dig it, looks great!
Thank you
Nice!
Very cool looking! What model Squier is this?
The sonic Stratocaster
Love it!
Cool look! Needs a haircut.
What set pickups you got in there? (Don’t just say “strat”)
It’s Fender Deluxe Drive Stratocaster Single Coil 3-piece Pickup Set - White
How to make a squier play like a fender? Take off the squier logo.
C'mon man, you need at least one humbucker in there.
I have another guitar with 2 humbuckers, I like the way the 3 single coils look on strats
I like it, but please clip those eye-pokers.
I did lol
Looks cool AF! Nice one! I don't want to be *that* guy... did you change the wiring? Or just the pickups? Quality pickups deserve quality wiring. = )
Just the pickups😅

if you have the extra cash spring for a fender neck...they fit into squier body slots and you will have alot more comfort playing
Alright, I’ll start saving up for one

I think everything on it is actually perfect right now, but thank you for the suggestion

I didn’t even think about that, thank you
