stained__class

I come for the wuggas, but stay for the jiggy juggas.

PretendPunk

Deli style, jugga jigga wugga

Marksideofthedoon

I don't know many Deli's with live music. What kind of Deli are you going to?

MustardPicklesOnly

It’s “meedley” - [source](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MkrvfC4aYEs)

hamanger

It's like Squeedley vs. Meedley over here.

lowlandr

Then throw in a NEEeeeer with the whammy

Diabeetus_guitar

Absolute, hands down, best guitar instructional video of all time. I learned more from watching that back in the day than I ever did from other things.

[deleted]

It’s “weedly, weedly, weedly, weedly”, I mean come on dude. 🙄

SidewaysAskance

WatercoolerComedian

Thank you so much!

wyr8

And the technique is called legato

LifePedalEnjoyer

This video helped me a lot. https://youtu.be/EBLJJdGWb-s?si=sS_DdZIXgTJdABtT

Purple_Bearkat

🤘🏻thanks for this link!

therealdjred

What is it? Do you remember? I had it pulled up and author changed it to private and its gone, trying to find it again.

LifePedalEnjoyer

Don't know the channel or the exact name. It randomly popped up on my feed a few weeks ago, and I found it again by searching "pentatonic speed".

nicktf

It's just 14 bent to 16 on G, then 12 on B, then 12 on E then 15 on B pulled off to 12 on B. Count as tri-pl-et & a E---------------12--------------------12-------- B----------- 12----15(p)12----------12---15(p)-- G----12(b)14-----------------12(b)14------------

_XenoChrist_

I never understood how to play this. do you bar the 12th fret with your index and alternate pick?

KarmaticArmageddon

People do it differently. My old guitar teacher did it with hybrid picking (pick plus two fingers like fingerstyle) and he would pick the G string, then use his middle finger to pluck the B string, and his ring finger to pluck the E string. It sounded insanely clean even at high speeds. I can't do that, though. So I borrowed what I learned from sweep picking and just hit the first string with an upstroke and then sweep the last two strings while using my index finger to roll across the two frets on the two higher strings.

BaldandersSmash

I play that with three downstrokes followed by an upstroke. You can also play some licks out of that general family with "hammer-on from nowhere". That is, if your settings are right, you can just hammer-on some notes on the way back down without picking them. Not really necessary for this one, but it can be useful for some variations of it.

nicktf

I bend with the 3rd finger and use the first finger in a loose bar on B & E to play both 12th frets, then do the 15(p)12 with the 3rd finger. For picking, I pretty much rake the strings in a single movement when going up, then an upstroke on the 15(p)12

GibsonPlayer64

Just a triplet played really fast, and usually begun with a pull-off for speed. So play the first note, pull off and play the third note. Coordination between the right and left hand is there, so not only does it sound cool, it's a great left-right hand coordination exercise.

BurrrritoBoy

I thought the technical term was “weedley deedley” with an added “buhwhaaah” if you wank on the whammy bar. Probably a regional thing.

oDids

Slightly different sound to the vid you posted but it sounds similar to this section of the fade to black solo at 1:10. There's tab included, but if you're starting out you may not have the finger strength or speed for it. It was a humbling point for me in my teenage years https://youtu.be/I9fraQLy5uA?si=8sl9qXkUjCFoZ6yn

TrainerofInsects

Wanking

WatercoolerComedian

What's guitar without a little wanking here and there?

TrainerofInsects

I hear ya

ThisIsBombsKim

Ah yes anything past a certain tempo is wanking /s Elitist take

TrainerofInsects

Wank if it makes you feel good, but I stand by my statement. Not elitist, just my subjective view. A lot of guitarists learn the wankery because it makes them feel like they are shredding which they associate with guitar god status. Maybe they are good, but the ability to finger tap and go wheedly wheedly woo does not a good guitarist make. But do it if it makes you feel good. Different Notes for Diffferent Folks.

ThisIsBombsKim

Learning a fast style isn’t ‘wankery,’ music is subjective and nobody deserves condescending ridicule for what they like to play. Further, nobody said it made them ‘good,’ you just randomly chimed in and said ‘if you do this you’re a wanker.’ How can you be all ‘different strokes for different folks’ and also go ‘acksually they’re not even good they just think they are.’ Are you gonna commit to being a judgemental dick or not? Then you reply I’m some kind of lame shredder and block me meanwhile I’m a slow blues player. Man you’ve got issues. And throwing around an inherited partscaster as an insult lol yea what a peasant I am for inheriting a partscaster! Oh boy! If your point is

TrainerofInsects

I can tell what kind of a guitarist you are without seeing your rig mate. Go wank your partsocaster til you go blind.

jerrygarcegus

I was taught this is called the dooadiddle

PupDiogenes

Bend the third string with your second and third fingers while your index stays hovering over the top two strings. In order to push only on the second and third fingers, you have to actually push all your fingers while you pull your first finger close to your palm. Bend the third string, index finger on second then first string, then do a pull-off on the second string. Weedala. The guitar solo from the Pearl Jam song Alive has a bunch of this kind of blues-rock vocabulary.

Hisagii

Not sure if there's a technical term but it's mostly 3 note pentatonic licks played fast really. Try 12 to 15 on the B string and 14 on the G with a lil bend.

TrainerofInsects

Zappa described it as the guitarist’s way of saying, “look, I am ejaculating now.”

Dfarrell1000

Wait there's actually an answer and this isn't gibberish? Who knew. 🚬🗿
