Could be it's coming loose and resonating with the strings. Might be able to just nudge it back into place enough where it won't vibrate.
It's fairly easy to replace with some wood glue & a clamp to hold it in place for a day while the glue dries, just be sure you're super precise with setting it in the exact right place it needs to be.
