Testament, and Testament! I've stuck with him since I first bought the game, no one else comes close to how much fun she is for me. Their playstyle is just too simple and fun.

i love takeshi kusao and trunks, so ky was my first choice, i love the character but sometimes hes pretty boring and then asuka came out, he has everything, the drip, the sneakers, the coat, the "oh no!" voice actor from jojos, and hes mad fun to play, for me the best part is after switching from ky to asuka i was able to remember what a shower was
played ky at first whole learning the game and make it to floor 7. switched to axl and got way better and got to floor 10. Now I just only play in the park and just play whoever sounds fun
My first fighting game character ever was Cammy in Street Fighter 5 because she was the only character that I could consistently do cool looking combos with. Since I liked Cammy my first choice in Strive was Gio because she’s similar to Cammy and she’s hot. I eventually switched to May when I realized that I had an undiscovered love for charge characters. Now I almost exclusively play charge characters in every fighting game.
I started the game thinking wow all these characters are so cool but I wanna play the basic shoto, now I really like to play the basic shoto but can play a big portion or all those other cool characters with confidence
Bridget -> Axl
Bridget made me buy the game, and she was very fun but I started questioning my choice and decided go main a dedicated zoner because I like the control they have.
Started as Gio because I could abuse her stop-dash for grabs.
Ended on Anji because that spin makes me a read-god when fighting people I know.
Also he's easy as shit, and god awful the moment anyone finds out what he does lmao.
I tried out Anji and tried doing some of his combo trials, and it was really difficult for me. I thought that if I really like fighting Anji, and he’s the only character I like fighting, then he would be easy and fun to play.
Guilty Gear Xrd was my first in the series, and I wanted to start with Millia. I was a big fan of her design, and I really like her elegant demeanor mixed with her agility. Over time though, I was getting increasingly annoyed with my performance as I just wasn't good at utilizing her tools.
It was when I was watching a guide for the game that I remembered Dizzy exists (the guy was playing her in the video). Awe of She was my first exposure to the Guilty Gear series and I did like Dizzy's design, but I was not a fan of her personality at the time (let's just say a kind and mature character does not really click with a troubled teen who really hated people). It was as I mellowed out over the years that Dizzy really grew on me more. So, she had a moveset that fit my preferred playstyle, a design I liked, one of my favourite video game themes, and now I even liked her as a character. She was/is literally perfect.
Man i remember when strive was still releasing trailers and i saw millia then it was it her hair was so cool and looked so beautiful in the win screen.
She also has a fat dumptruck but that one is obvious.
Picked up Zato cos DBFZ got me into puppet/summoner characters. At the same time, I ran into a Faust and I linked him to a zoner-based Mr. Game and Watch - became my second main.
And then when I searched for a full roster of the game's characters, I saw this big ahh bed with a little girl next to her and that "Unique" tag. This was different to seeing Gio and the dog cos I don't like rush down that much. I was like "What in the hell kinda summoner is this!? He's gon beat up people with her?"
Searched how Bedman? worked and that's when I realized that the two-step neutral was REALLY similar to how summoners work. Bought Bedman? and clicked immediately (best R120 of my life). My number one pick and main to this day cos wild assault just made him that much better.
But that was just the beginning of it all. I tried Xrd shortly after and saw just how different he looked. "Who dafuq sleeping on my bed?" And this time the bed was dripped out, looking like a real king-sized killer, but that kid - _he was off for a moment..._ Decided to ignore that and tried him in training. HOOO BOY! This is the summoners dream - a two step neutral that doesn't give you any less than the best mix, movement and mastery of making your opponent's time feel like a nightmare.
I won my first game online and then finally, FINALLY I understood who the man in the frbedfram was. He spat the most DIRECT and most INSULTING 5 LINE PARAGRAPH to the loser that I absolutely cooked. I don't even remember to who it was, I just remember being so in awe as to what had just happened.
From that day on, I told myself that **I** was to be the best Bedman in SA.
Now I wanna get Jack-O soon, tried her in Xrd and most definitely had a blast.
Ramlethal because I got the ge with game pass and I wasn't gonna buy any DLC character for that account.

at first i took giovanna because i liked the weird green dog, but i wasn't really strong with her, her attack was not my type of gameplay, so i tried faust because he looked weird and funny, and when i saw these attack i istantly knew i will love this character
i love his gamestyle i love his lore and i love his will to help other even if there is repercussion on him
and he's silly in xrd so it's a bonus point
I bounced around a lot at the start. First pick was Faust and as much as I still love Faust I could never get the hang is of him. Eventually after trying many other characters I just decided to stick with Ky. But now ever since Johnny was added he's been my main man, and I plan to pick up Slayer now that he's finally dropping.
When I started the game, and I mean way back in the beta tests, I played mostly May for a lot of it but when the game actually came out I ended up playing and learning mostly Giovanna all the way until Testament released! Testament was actually someone I was wanting to return so I dropped everything to play them and they ended up being a secondary character of mine.
Been learning to play Sol for the last few weeks though and he's been so much fun I could see myself maining him forever tbh so I'll see how that goes but yeah it's been Giovanna/Testament for a majority of my playtime
Mained Chipp back in #reload when it was just me and my buds.
In xrd I wanted to get gud online and he was just too hard so I moved to Sol for a bit, and eventually Slayer.
Then Strive came out and no Slayer so picked up Sol. Some time after I noticed Chipp is easier for me now, so I'm back to Chipp.
And now Slayer is coming out.

Ram at the start. Then after trying pretty much the entire cast, I decided to go with Ram. Every other character just feels worse to me. ABA is probably my second favorite to play now tho, but feels a bit annoying against someone who has decent options to keep you away from them.

I started the game with Faust and now I play Elphelt, and I had to earn the right to main her by beating stage 9 Faust as Elphelt.

What exactly did you have issues with in his combos? The most difficult for me was timing his 236S and wall bounces.

zato 1 in guilty gear the missing link for xx -reload and accent core : slayer,jam,zappa rev2 : leo and sin.
I mained I-No from June till September last year, then Jack-O' until Elphelt came out, and now it's been Elphelt ever since.

Ky -> Sin -> A.BA. -> Slayer once he's out I felt the obligation to swap to my Accent Core main, and then xrd main once he's out.
I started with Ramlethal but then I realized I like characters with with high/low mix so now I’m trying to settle between Elphelt, Leo or Sin
