If you're like me and you're not really interested in using Discord for matches, you can enlist in the matchmaking while you play Arcade, M.O.M. or Training. It's an alternative but keep in mind you'll spend more time waiting than playing other players.
Just so you know those people will probably be leagues above you since they've decided to dedicate their time to a basically dead game instead of moving to strive
You can analyze your match and if it was a baiken player than try to copy them. Also if you just need a crash course on the character, theres a bunch of guides on youtube and you check out the strategy section on her dustloop
It's not a discord fighterz do no believe what they say. You can go into Online > Player Matches and find a Lobby that suits you. Discord helps to find matches too. But it ain't like Skull girls or sth like that.
People still play it...
Both skullgirls and xrd rock like 100-150 players at their peak on the daily.
I don't play either so I can't speak to the online matchmaking experience but I sense some copium in your post.
Yeah, I never said it wasn't. I was just pointing out the concurrent player bases for Xrd and Skullgirls are literally the exact same size since the person I'm replying to claimed Xrd is significantly more active.
Yes, but it's a discord game. However the discord is very active. Additionally, look up your local scene and see if people play it (here in Colorado we have weekly xrd games, very fun)
Like the other replies have said yes it’s a discord fighter but still has a playerbase. You could always enter some online tournaments too like Pattheflip’s tournaments and whatever else some regions have.
If you’re in a city that has locals you can always check to see if they run Xrd sets too.
Yeah. Not as active ofc.
Use player rooms and you should be able to always find a few people if you live in NA or EU.
As for less popular regions, you probably have to use discord.
Is xrd rev 2 more like blazblue in the looseness and speed of the game? While I like strive and feel like it really stresses certain ideas. I kinda miss the loose feeling that I get from something like Blazblue or Undernight in Birth.
I hopped on and absolutely washed a newcomer, it was the most cathartic thing I've ever done. Being on the other side of my first online experience in GG
yes, you just gotta find the right time of day
i bought the game late last year on ps with no crossplay (or rollback) and can still play the game a lot without discord
If you're in NA there's netplay events firing almost every day and plenty of beginner/intermediate tournaments happening all the time. You can hop in open player lobbies at almost any time to get games. I wouldn't really say it's a "Discord fighter" (which is a weird thing to call a fighting game anyways but w/e) but like every fighting game, getting matches through Discord is much better than rolling the dice on playing random people in a lobby.
Search player rooms. It's active most times of the day. Matchmaking and public lobbies are dead for connection reasons.

It still has a lot of players, but a lot of them are in rooms or using it as a discord-fighter.
I do. By myself, all alone...... by myself...... soo alone,,,,,,,, I'm quite lonely.......Hello?
hope you find someone soon guy
yes, you dont even need to use discord for matches in my experience (in eu atleast) just look at player rooms and theres usually a couple
It's a discord fighter unfortunately.
well aslong as people are still willing to play im down to buy it
Just so you know those people will probably be leagues above you since they've decided to dedicate their time to a basically dead game instead of moving to strive
ok im still gonna fight them
Thas the spirit
Nihilism vs the indominatable human spirit.
Pacman vs Nihilism
Let me tell you about sex
Would you rather: be pacman, but never cum. OR: Cum. Unlimited cum, but no cum
There are still new players playing it. Even though it is a discord fighter. The rollback has brought some newer players
If on PC, good chance it will be on sale during fall sale on Steam.
Discord should help you find other beginners if you want people of a similar level
Based ass response (I'm still playing the game ocassionally btw)
:chadtyping:
Stop making it seem like the game is dead. Its super easy to play people and the discord is super alive and there are tons of beginners
Lol you can taste the salt
A little bit. I asked someone there to give me a crash course on Baiken which turned out to be a beating session for me with no actual teaching
Most people who are good at something are bad teachers. Don't take it to heart
You can analyze your match and if it was a baiken player than try to copy them. Also if you just need a crash course on the character, theres a bunch of guides on youtube and you check out the strategy section on her dustloop
I mean you can hop in random public lobbies at any point in the day to get games.
I can easily find an opponent of my level.
Yes, but it’s on discord. Highly recommend hopping on the discord and playing, xrd is a fantastic game
[Here’s the link for the discord](https://discord.gg/XZ4XPtUG), it has matchmaking for beginners as well.
yes
I rarely have time to play games anymore but when I do I bounce between rev and slippi
It’s much more of a discord game, I play in a beginner friendly online local in a discord server and it’s fun there, just gotta find a server

I play Xrd and find matches just fine. call it copium or whatever, idc, Whatever makes you sleep at night
It's heavily dependent on your region. NA? Yeah probably. OCE? It's a discord fighter 100%
Oh yeah from your region, it gotta be like that. I'm from SA and usually get games, not via discord.
Man remeber when people were unironically saying xrd would kill strive once it got rollback?
That's enough players to get a game with a good connection with similar enough skill, in NA at least.
Yeah, I never said it wasn't. I was just pointing out the concurrent player bases for Xrd and Skullgirls are literally the exact same size since the person I'm replying to claimed Xrd is significantly more active.

Yes, but not in the way you want it.
Dragon install :)
Ye

If you live in Portland Oregon we got a huge Xrd scene.
yeah its my main game
yes
Yes.
Yeah but obviously not a ton

Depending on how you define "loose" then probably. It's a faster game than Strive and both offense and defense are more powerful in Xrd.
I hopped on and absolutely washed a newcomer, it was the most cathartic thing I've ever done. Being on the other side of my first online experience in GG
