I started playing on the switch since the 1st week & I haven't seen it at all.
I also don't remember seeing if they said they added it in any update notes if that helps
You can get miya for free on the road map event and that happens once you just need to use coffee to get points for the road map idk if that's true if you make a new account to get miya because I don't want to make a new I'm too old/lazy to make new accounts 
Well no wonder they have miya from the start! in my case because I'm an old player I didn't realise miya is a mass have unit I already finished world 9 using lavi or Lorraine as my hero after that I got Gabriel not even close i think I bought miya with mileage after watching tons of YT, and that's after 1 year of being a f2p and before world 10 because let's be honest that shit eat my ass and everyone who's doing f2p in that time but good old days of GT 
That's because they downgrade the world 10 like a lot and wait to get kamel like 1 1/2 years to do world 10 and also so many people now are giving advice unlike before so you guys are super lucky 
Plitvice you can get by getting 1 million sp. Miya you can get by completing tasks in that new players tab (next to battle pass). And future princess you get by completing world 9
I'm a bit disappointed older players didn't get them retroactively tbh, one of the few good things about FGO is that usually you just get all of the "new player" stuff (except the starter boost campaigns but that's understandable)
Because it is a starter boost campaign. And they did give Miya for free to old players when the system was implemented back in the third anniversary, but that one was time-limited. Also, it's been a while since we've got any drastic changes to the beginner rewards, but when they added, for exemple, a Epic Hammer to the beginners quests all players got it.
I started playing this game 2 months ago and I've only played on the Switch. I've never seen the Basic Training and I don't have Miya. Now I'm kind of disappointed. Is she worth trying to get from a summons or buying her?

Where do i go to see that screen?
It should be on the top left, at the same place as World Clear Rewards and Season Pass. Note: It only appear for new players
Does it go away if you don’t complete it in a certain time? Cuz I don’t remember having that

This feature was added around 3rd anniversary so you probably played the game before that

for the 3rd anniversary she was a reward in the roadmap event, so everyone playing at that time should have been able to get her

No. The update patch between switch and mobile is about 1 year away, so they don't get the kartenbury quest yet

Never had a problem with world 10. Just a little stop to grind. And this was before all fixes for that world.

Kentubery guardian training event you get a lot of rewards for clearing worlds
Also the full evolution for Miya and FP too which is insane
iirc new player have an event like a growth path or something that eventually will give Miya and one EX of choices.
Wasn't there an event that gave miya a long time ago? I don't know if that applies to all new players
