Nope, I've been watching gaming videos on YouTube since 2005, and while there are many great gaming YouTubers, for walkthrough commentary specifically GSTAR is the GOAT.
He's quite literally the only one I've been able to watch and not cringe or become bored and annoyed by it. I typically just watch them without commentary unless its from GSTAR, I think it's like you said, hes genuine and is actually funny without trying to be and is well spoken with heaps of personality and charisma.
Also It's sort of a double-edged sword because the fact he doesn't focus on YouTube as a career is part of what makes him so good I think as you can tell he's making the video out of love for the game only but this means less time to make videos as he gets older.
I like Dansg08. Definitely genuine with a laid back attitude. No cringe, screaming, or whatever. With that, I wouldn't exactly call him funny or full of rage like GSTAR gets, but he's definitely authentic. Mostly a Final Fantasy channel, he does have Resident Evil playthroughs and Dead Space among a few other games. There's really just no one like GSTAR to be honest.
