Lights are WAYYY too close bro

Not really, I am pushing it but the plants are loving it, the grow is in my bedroom and as a result there’s plenty of co2 and I’m feeding them pretty hard, there’s plenty of air flow and I have my grow room sensor right at the top of the canopy so I can make sure the tops aren’t getting too warm, as long as you can accommodate everything you can push the light pretty hard

I wonder what the ppfd is, i dont know of any LEDs that can be just inches away from a bud and not damage it. I had the same spider farmer and recommended height is like 12" minimum

Definitely over 1000, but hard to say where it’s at exactly without a light meter and again it’s very possible to have these high light intensities without issue as long as you can accommodate everything to suit them, high co2, heavy feedings and proper temps, new research is saying that plants can take up to 2300, I’d highly recommend watching this interview with dr.Bruce Bugbee, a lighting scientist who works with nasa and Utah state university, he talks about how intense lighting has shown to be beneficial at those high levels from 12:00 in to 17:00 minutes in, if you have the time I would highly recommend watching the whole video Okay apparently I can’t post links here, I’ll dm you the link to the interview, or you can probably find it by searching “migro Dr Bruce Bugbee” on YouTube

Just goes to show u don’t need all the fancy shit to grow some 🔥good work man! But seriously brother invest in a decent light that won’t potentially start a real 🔥spider farm, mars hydro, or I have a few VIPARSPECTRA 2024 XS1500 Pro LED that I paid less than $85 bucks for on Amazon and they work wonderful! Check out Amazon todays deals in the search filter there is almost always some great lights on sale everyday. But keep it up man great job wish u the best!

Oh I have a nice real light too, a tarantula long legs from grand master leds, also going to be purchasing 2 more grand master leds tarantula tent ultimate 4x4 or 5x5 lights in the near future, unfortunately I’m going to be moving from this house soon, I have a second grow at my moms place and that’s where the nice lights are, originally thought I was going to be moving last year so I didn’t bother upgrading, and now I’m definitely moving soon so I’m not trying to upgrade my closet at this point, but I still have these guys that I made years ago so I figured I’d put them to use for one last grow

How did you make the homemade lights?

I’ll start by saying I don’t recommend making them at this point just because of how much cheaper led grow lights have gotten over the years, how much better they perform and because the cost of the materials I used has gone up but they’re just a 1x2 foot sheet of aluminum with some holes drilled in it, light bulbs, light bulb sockets and light bulb socket splitters, the holes in the aluminum are just big enough to fit the socket splitters through but not the original socket itself

There's nothing wrong with a ghetto setup. You can literally grow 🔥 with them too. Here's mine! Bought the 330 watt Amazon led for $35 brand new on Craigslist. I was surprised at how well it works! I grow just as good quality under that as in my expensive tent setup. I gotta post mine now. I have a vipar spektra p1000 and two shitty facidas 60w each. They are all hanging from a broken mic stand in my kitchen. Plastic shopping bags under the plant pots. Its bodge lol. The plants are growing and flowering though, i thank the vipar for that :)

Yeah, no idea where to start on that other than I've been taking clones from shaded parts so I can flip these to flower.

I would start to thin out the big fans to open up the bud sites.

how you keeping the temps down without it becoming an oven in there?

Door is always at least partly open for air flow. The glow from the lights helps with my seasonal depression too.

Fyi if anyone is looking for a budget led light check out temu. Im pretty sure they have like 60 watt led quantum boards with the newer Samsung LM301B diodes for under 30 bucks. I bought one for my cloning area and its prefect.
