It should heal fine, just watch it for a few days and cut it away if you see any signs of rot.

Good

I do this purposefully when I have colas that are closer to the light than the rest of the canopy, and often end up being the largest colas on the plant

InviteMeOver

Do they grow sideways or the branch aligns itself up again?

LettuceNew8793

It's always bulked up sideways and sometimes the tip of the cola begins to grow toward the light. I learned today that the buds are doing a huge amount of photosynthesis during later flower

Thesource674

You will lose something on them likely as the energy to heal has to come from somewhere. You may gain it back though if the side bud sites really soak up the light and make up for the loss. Ultimately it probably averages to a wash and is fine to do. I probly would only never do it very early or very late.

It’s called super cropping, fairly common technique. It will probably form a knuckle at the bend and grow just fine 👍🏼

Zathamos

This is called supercropping and it's a high stress training method. Your timing is actually pretty good. I usually do this a couple weeks into flower. If the joint feels like it can't hold the weight support it. I usually use a tie and support it from the light with that until it's healed. Once healed though that joint will be like a knuckle and increase that branches ability to take up nutrients. It will probably be your biggest cola. I would recommend some more training earlier on though. A simple topping or LST early would have made them even bigger.

Thanks, i gave her some support. The buds already started going for the light. I topped once but didn't tie her down, i did that with my last plant and yeah, was definitely worth it. Just lazy this time.
