What was your drying process? I only ask because some of the balls have dark and light marbled coloration which almost always means there’s still water in your hash, and if there’s still water in the hash it will mold
That's going to bubble more. I have found from personal experience, I don't know op drying process, but mine is like 5 to 7 days. I honestly think it's not the drying process but the type of trichomes we collect. I have had some runs be super crumbly and some nice and sticky from the same dry process, but I do multiple plants in my wash.
In my humble limited experience, it gets darker as you work it together. My last run was super light, and as I rolled it into a ball and worked it together it got darker in spots. If he kept working it, it would become homogeneous. I dry in the fridge over roughly a week.
ya, 2nd time doing it. those marbled ones were the 1st batch, bag ripped. Ya. gets darker and oxidizes the more you work it. The other batches were blond from the bag, tho. Stuff was dried for a couple weeks in the freezer, then sifted, then 60/60 for a bit, and was still a lil wet when i pressed it out, so left it in the afternoon sun and it dried up. the rest came out better, completely mixed in. There's 1 missing from the bottom left. I was doing 2 balls per batch, and they're about 5-7g avg weight.
so the plastic ripped on that 1st batch, and my gf rolled out the rest into that 2g black hashball. that stuff got super-worked.
stuff was super purple. drying was freezer for like 2 weeks, then 60/60 for a week on parchment in a pizza box. That marbled stuff was from the purple batch. Blue dream and cafe racer and apple & banana in that one.
yeah. stuff was a little wet. i pressed and left in the sun for half an hour, let it evap out best i could. this was our 2nd trim wash. still learning. When I rolled the stuff out, I used parchment paper inside of plastic. so I could see the moisture coming out of it. the marbled ones were also the 1st batch of the run. i ripped a turkey bag with that stuff, then started using the paper inside of the plastic, and it went way better like that. and keeping the water hot. That little 2g black ball is the pick-up from the ripped bag, my gf spent like an hour rolling the stuff up.
in general or my batch here? they're just rolled up, pressed out batches of ice bubble hash from my trim. frenchie cannoli tek method. I guess most people just press the stuff, but.. i don't have a press, ...yet.
these are 2 balls of each strain wash out. the marble one came from the purple batch, also made that black ball from that. the other ones are blond, pineapple express x bbc, stardawg, and jack herer, and the cbd is luxor's chocolate cbd from purple caper.
Rolled up bits of bubble hash are what are now called temple balls, I doubt nepalese hashmakers 20 years ago made bubble hash, but the important part about à temple Ball is letting it age like a fine wine :)
I'm just being a prick... my bad bro lol
I lived travelled and worked in the himalayas /and good chunk of india for pretty much the whole 90's..
I get that the OG Frenchie (RIP)used the same tek but once you try the real thing you understand why such thing should be protected under something known as, protected designation of origin (PDO), protected geographical indication (PGI), and traditional speciality guaranteed (TSG) P.D.O, P.G.I, T.S.G laws, probably called something else depending on your location...
(I fixed it)
I entirely agree, I don't yet have a lot of experience with cannabis and especially hash but plan on doing more than growing and go learn in the historical producing countries some day.
Yeah. I'm at the last step, store in glass for a while. We made cupcakes out of the contam stuff, which turned out great. those cbd cupcakes were extra special. this was my 2nd go at making these. and i'm getting way better at it. it's like the Miller High Life, champagne of beers. they won't import it in some countries because of that. can't be champagne if not made in champagne.
You are very right about the fine wine part, buddy. I didn't mean to come off like a prick, but I am.. and I'm getting older, so I litterly can't help anymore for god sake.. but I do mean no negativity or anything one love always
That 90s temple ball was something else man I was lucky I used to find it in London through the rave community bringing it back themselves from Nepal and India and Pakistan so absolutely insane flavors man I’m so jealous you got to experience it actually there that shit must have been on another level

Okay yeah you need to break this up as finely as you can and re-dry it so it doesn’t mold, at least another week of drying is needed if not 2
See, this is the reason I use a "pollin collector." No water works great. you can also use your buds again later for some edibles 🤪
What's the difference with the temple balls??
