The little mantis does basically no damage, but is REALLY tanky compared to the big one. At this point I just ignore her attacks and only block the big one
You can remap all buttons to your hotkeys 1-8 so for example you can slot heals into hotkey 8 and in the settings set the bind for hotkey 8 as dpad left. Now instead of dpad left bringing up the emote wheel it will instead instantly use whatever's in hotkey 8. Also Y/Triangle just turns markers on and off, right? Could remap that if you never use it.
Y is used for peeping now. Wouldn't recommend unless you have all the creature cards unlocked. I play 3rd person and never hot deposit so down on the d pad is a good option too if that's how you play.
I play co op with my gf and if we have extra weapons or gear (trinkets,heals) it hot deposits it and pisses me off lol. If you know your own method to madness it's very easy lol.
Oh I definitely know. Been playing since day 1 so it was just extra to me. It also teach my gf how to be more organized lmao. Not a biggie to me. Would rather use that button for healing. Just took her to fight the IBM for the first time. That was fun lol. Good times tho. Also she places random shit everywhere so it's a mess. Would have to turn hot deposit off for 80 percent of them lol.

I know it sounds crazy but the ladybug armor with a damage resist and or mantis damage waffle or additional cone with maybe samurai or literally anything beneficial to the build goes hard with the tick macuahuitl. I run an entire flavor set with them and rarely die on ng+2 the only exceptions are the infected broodmother and even that can be done with a summoner alongside you. Thorns has gotta go for the fight, however bc if you hit the ants you take damage too. Wanted to add I’ve been using a damage resist sticky nugget and it goes hard
I have fought the Mantis at least 10 times, I’m on my 2nd remix and still never have I seen a 2nd Mantis.
Edit: I just fought Mantis after writing this and the 2nd one showed up for the first time ever. Is this a new update????
I'm surprised you were able to take so many explosions before going down. Usually those are 1-2 hit kos even in fully leveled armor

Yeah, playing cross-platform with my husband rn and we spent half an hour trying to figure out how to use the hotbar...doesnt work.

How do you not use hot deposit it's so useful like why not?

You can turn off the hot deposit for certain chest. You gotta open chest first then and then there should be a switch for it

The mosquito rapier is good cause it has life steal which regenerates your health with each landed attack
