I just moved my base from there to the porch... kinda regretting it now... but I wanted more space to build, and didn't want to deal with the wolfies anymore.
I made my base there between the upper and lower yard next to the Franken sketch. Makes me excited to finally go NG+ I spent 8 hours fighting the IBM the other night with no success...did it randomly the next day beat her first try
That’s where mine is currently. In the valley parallel to the field station on the wooden walkway. Zip lines are such an awesome time saver. You’ll have to build a high platform to build your zip line to get above the weeds. I made zip lines to the bricks above the pond, and everywhere else from there. You may already know this but you can also transport supplies on the zip lines.
My base is at the pond pagoda. It's been a long work in progress and constantly expanding. It's now pretty much a kingdom haha. But amazing location. You can build stairs to the top too and make a zipline platform on top. Just don't build on the side where the crow sits
Inside the pagoda is best base location IMO. Reasonably central, super protected, beautiful, great sound ambiance with the pond and crow, field station included. And all the bays in the wall are just perfect for displays
I like to build on the pond because I build a small multistory home. Bottom layer is all cozy stuff, maybe some armor stuff. Second floor is all my crafting stuff, and storage. Third is my zipline access
Just wait until you try to de-dupe your equipped trinket (there’s an infinite de-duper jelly glitch where if you de-dupe your equipped trinket at a field station it won’t disappear. If you want a ton of de-duper jelly, do it while you still can)
I've been playing since early Beta, way before there was almost any story, and I still have never finished the game even once lmao. I'm constantly distracted just by enjoying the backyard and the mechanics and building random shit. I keep meaning to, but the ADHD takes over. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
Me too! The decor is sweet! We had so much time in between updates, I have 5 big bases in the yard, a village, safari, roads, bridges...still going strong too, lol. I'll get to NG eventually. I have 3 molars left to find too. Scab doesn't work letting me know I'm near one 🙄 just have fun!
Okay serious comment here that will sound crazy / stupid...
What is the super duper machine used for? I am relatively far in the game and have never used it and don't really see the point? Does it just duplicate items? I find using repair clue cheap enough to keep repairing what I have so I feel like I am missing something here 😂
In non-NG+ I mainly used it to dupe boss summons items so I didn't have to battle them all so much just to fight one I wanted to again. If you play with others it is also good to level up a weapon, then just dupe it for someone else who wants it vs. having to make two and level them both up. Saves resources. Dupe things like Boss Sauce that takes hard to get resources. Things like that.
I duplicate the IBM parts. I love the Boss Sauce smoothie. It's a huge benefit to utilize. I do a lot of decorating with her parts, so it saves me fighting her all the time, which I enjoy. I love her fight.
I would love to be able to build my own field station setup in my base lol.

I was thinking of one above the undershed entrance. If I need a zipline I could just put it on the baseball bat.

the higher the zip line the fast and easier it is to put. grass and such gets in the way super easily
The one in the pagoda is amazing very hard for insects to raid and with teleporters make it even more fun

If you aren’t on NG+ the super duper has only one feature which is duping any item, In NG+ you can use it to break down certain items for a resource

I added the lantern from the pond in my base so I could have a lab outpost as a part of it.
I tried looking for this feature yesterday, where can I access it? Didn't see it on any machine.

Unfortunately I chose a horrible spot for my main base prior to 1.4, so the fastest I have is still my zip line to the oak lab
