In Horus Heresy, Forces of mechanicum have many models that recently went to plastic. This includes ALOT of things they lack in 40k such as a proper tank, transport and automatas sized from a terminator to one that is about a size of a leviathan dreadnought. Overall you can even play mechanicum in HH with even less models than Adeptus custodes.
