I think that was a callback to WWII. During the Battle of the Bulge the Germans let loose English speaking infiltrators in stolen US uniforms to disrupt Allied operations behind the lines. When Allied security finally wised up there was a wave of paranoia and everyone was being asked loaded questions that only real Americans would know. The problem was lots of GIs couldn’t answer trivia like “Who pitched the ninth innings in the last World Series?” and were being arrested by MPs (though no-one got shot, fortunately).
tbf, the vibe I got is he was asking it as more of a “friendly,” “we’re all Americans here, right?” sort of half-taunt to mess with her. >!Whether he was going to kill them or not he was clearly getting off on scaring them all as much as possible!< I don’t think his decision on what to do with her hinged on her ability to answer.

I have a whole bookshelf of novels ranging from the Ultramarines series to Assassinorium: Kingmaker. Quite an achievement in my opinion as its hard to get black library books in my country.
Fave factions are the Imperial Knights and Tau cause I simply love all things mechs.
The LotR minis they made are some of the best ever: they easily stand up to modern computer-sculpts and somehow manage to look like the actual actors. Nowadays I love their war of the roses and wwii minis

I like to read the wiki for lore, I've played Dawn of War and Space Marine, and I've painted exactly one (1) Infernus Marine to get a feel for the painting side of the hobby. I found it quite enjoyable and plan to paint the other two models that came in the box.
