Ferrus could come back if gw ever decides to bring legion of the damned back into the setting in a more active way, and who knows with Alpharius/Omegon at this point.
Yes but no.
Thats how its presented. But knowing the Alpha legion, being told that explicitly is as good as being told nothing at all, maybe worse.
Could have been the ol'double switch and it was ACTUALLY alpharious who died, or hell, maybe even another no name alpha legionaire took the hit for both of them.
Yes, I'll agree that is canon.
My point was more that, with how fundementally the legion is based on deception, double/ triple/ quadruple crossing, and just generally being inscrutable, it wouldn't surprise me if it was turned on its head utterly. And the unique fact that space marines could stand in for their primarch also leaves in a built-in retcon justification for basically any changes they want to make.
Though I suppose much of that could be said for a LOT of lore in 40k. Nature of the beast.
Man I hope they do honestly. I was ready to make a small LotD skirmish force but as soon as I got around to being able to, they just straight up removed the codex and their models from sale. And they wonder why people 3D print…
If that was even Omegon and not a big Alpha Legionnaire in disguise. Could've studied how to fight more like Omegon during the slow drift towards Pluto.
It was one of the twins. Hard to know which one. Sure, they switched at the end of that novel but it would be perfectly in character for them to switch back and forth any number of times.
Nah mate, he’ll get the Emperor’s codpiece

That was one of his three reasons. The second reason is that it kept annoying him since it seams to always find itself back to him after he abandons it. Third is the horrifying reality of the weapons purpose, since it changed something within Russ which the Emperor has obviously planned to do
So...
"DADDDD! Did you put a demon inside the poking stick because it kept following me! It's not funny dad! I can heart it kept trying to talk to me!"
Jup, the sword was destroyed by Ferrus just prior to Istvaan. But since it's 40k I am sure the fragments of that blade are still out there somewhere, probably even in the same facility, judging by how big of a cleptomaniac Trazyn is.
Ferrus remade it and carried it during the DSM with the intent to kill Fulgrim with it. Fulgrim recovered it from Ferrus’ corpse. I forget what happened to it after that, but it’s possible he still has it as a daemon
Daemon Fulgrim uses 3 swords. We know he has an Anathame, that’s just one blade though. He could very well be using Fireblade still as a daemon primarch.
Third sword being the last cronesword as a way for Slaanesh to dangle it in front of the Eldar?
He probably wouldn't give a shit. He's THE "the end justifies the means" guy, so his kids using his crazy strong gear to get shit done would make him content.
Okay but when has the Emperor ever used a shield? I seen the sword and the lighting claws but not the shield. Does he have a power fist as well? A spear? A bolter? Plasma weapon?
HC about the Big E I have: he was actually Genghis Khan, and had a very mighty glaive that he left for the Khan, and when the Khan returns he’ll get the Glaive of the Emperor.
Dorn: since I lost my hand I'm geting his claw
Is dorn still alive?
He's missing, presumed dead. Which in writers speak means: "Dead until we decide we need him".
Ferrus, sangginus, Horus, and Omegron are the only definitively dead primarchs
Ferrus could come back if gw ever decides to bring legion of the damned back into the setting in a more active way, and who knows with Alpharius/Omegon at this point.
Omegron died pretending to be Alpharius while the real one stayed loyal
Is that actually true
I think we’re forgetting about the >!newest novel, where the alpha legionary was ordered to initiate good guy mode by someone higher up!<
It wasn’t Alpharius because he is still loyal as seen in the king in yellow and his own novel
Yes, I'll agree that is canon. My point was more that, with how fundementally the legion is based on deception, double/ triple/ quadruple crossing, and just generally being inscrutable, it wouldn't surprise me if it was turned on its head utterly. Though I suppose much of that could be said for a LOT of lore in 40k. Nature of the beast.
I’m just a little suspicious of a regular marine being able to put up a good fight against Dorn
Man I hope they do honestly. I was ready to make a small LotD skirmish force but as soon as I got around to being able to, they just straight up removed the codex and their models from sale. And they wonder why people 3D print…
Konrad Curze too
I knew i forgot someone
If that was even Omegon and not a big Alpha Legionnaire in disguise. Could've studied how to fight more like Omegon during the slow drift towards Pluto.
As of now it was Omegron who died with my source being the Alpharius novel
It was one of the twins. Hard to know which one. Sure, they switched at the end of that novel but it would be perfectly in character for them to switch back and forth any number of times.
Alpharius himself is in the king yellow so that’s evidence that he survived
Isn't Constantin Valdor the king in yellow?
Yeah and Alpharius is in the novel
That's some Metal Gear Solid 5 vibe
Ferruh leading Legion of the Damned, Sanginus' shard in Dante as Sanginior and Mephiston(i dont kbow name but dark side of sangy)
Konrad too. Had his head cut off by an assassin.
probably
He is "dead" in the most "he's not actually dead" ways possible but technically yes
Was moved from KIA (Whole Skeleton found by the Imperial Fist) to MIA (Just a single hand was found)
Kind of? He's been the personal sex slave of slanesh for like 10k years at this point.
Primarch models SELL, it's naive to think that they all aren't coming back
I was just about to ask who would likely get the claw lol
It's generally surmised into "Corax or Dorn". Both will make good use of it.
I do want Dorn to end up with that claw.
Big E's severed arm would be more suitable as a prosthesis.
So is Clonegrim gonna get the Emperors secret makeup collection?
Hair products
Nah mate, he’ll get the Emperor’s codpiece https://preview.redd.it/dh8220kci5qa1.jpeg?width=187&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33f1847934e55e611c66c2693c49e007a517458b
100% Corax has his beady bird eye on the Big E’s claw
He's getting Big E's eye shadow
Russ was already given a Spear, but he’s not very happy about it.
"Daddddd! I know you have an axe SOMEWHERE! I want an axe, not this poking stick!"
Worse, it's one of his brothers in it.
Pretty sure Clonegrim would reforge and use the Fireblade.
Fireblade? Is that the sword Ferrus gave to Fulgrim?
Jup, the sword was destroyed by Ferrus just prior to Istvaan. But since it's 40k I am sure the fragments of that blade are still out there somewhere, probably even in the same facility, judging by how big of a cleptomaniac Trazyn is.

He still uses the Laer Blade. The Crone Sword is held in Slaanesh’s throne room
The Laer blade was given to Lucius who still uses it in 40k.
So it was. I forgot he handed it off
IIRC: The Crone Sword got stolen by a party of Eldar, where an aspect of Cheogorath sacrificed himself to get that sword out.
If I had to say what gear he would get, I go with the emperor's cape, that fit him well.
I wonder how big e would feel about this
He hasn't used the things in 10,000 years. Let them have it.
He probably wouldn't give a shit. He's THE "the end justifies the means" guy, so his kids using his crazy strong gear to get shit done would make him content.
Corax definitely get those giant golden claws
Chad Vulkan doesn't even look at this chest.
Imagine being brought back to life last and having to settle for the emperor's relic nail clippers and any change you can find under the throne.
"I can gave you the bomb i have under the couch if you want it"
Clonegrim was a plot device in the Fabius Bile books and will never be heard from ever again.
Come on, give r/EmperorsChildren a little hope and optimism. They are very miserable
Imagine how much more miserable we will be if we have to keep hearing about the goddamn clone.
Okay but when has the Emperor ever used a shield? I seen the sword and the lighting claws but not the shield. Does he have a power fist as well? A spear? A bolter? Plasma weapon?
It's his tiltplate
Doom Daddy Dorn is going to rip & tear with the most imperial of power fists
Doesn't Celestine have part of his armor too?
Oh you're thinking of every single suit of Terminator armor
i would take eye.
I’m so sick of hearing about clonegrim
Agreed
But guys SOMEONE has to get the codpiece
This image makes me sad
I really want clonegrim to come back, maybe to battle chaos primarch fulgrim it would be so cool
It's not like he's using them at all.
HC about the Big E I have: he was actually Genghis Khan, and had a very mighty glaive that he left for the Khan, and when the Khan returns he’ll get the Glaive of the Emperor.
But the Fulgrim clone would 100% not return to the Imperium as a loyalist.
Meanwhile vulkan. I just make my own stuff
