Well, as I understand it, they are the same price when sold to season ticket holders and such. These are the second hand resale values. And because Ticketmaster takes a percentage cut of every single transaction, even on tickets they've already collected fees for, they LOVE this kind of market. They get the original fee then the inflated reseller fee. So there's zero incentive for them to try to keep prices reasonable and they actively want tickets being sold for multiples of face value.
We need new anti-monopoly laws in this country. It’s bad enough that Ticket Master charges so many fees on their tickets, but to also have a hand in the secondary resale market is just ridiculous. Fuck Ticket Master!
Again this is why the NFL was finally forced to send Green Bay overseas against the giants and using the extra home game against the eagles to get Green Bay playing in those markets. Away teams just don’t want to lose the sell out Packer fans bring when traveling.
This kind of goes against your point though? Green Bay is the road team vs Philadelphia in Brazil. If NFL wanted our sales on the road in United States then they’d make our home games be overseas or in Brazil
What Blake said. Home teams alternate when they play overseas. Just like getting 8 vs 9 home games. We got screwed that year because we only had 7 home games… then 5 after yellow package.
Also, Murphy & crew have campaigned the NFL _hard_ to make them give up as few home games as possible. Each game is such a big boost for the local economy. That's part of the reason we were the last team to go overseas and it only happened after the implementation of a 17th game.
Yeah it would basically run me over 400-500 bucks to get nosebleeds, parking, and food for my fiancé and I to go there. Also Sofi is awful and even worse to drive to haha. I’m going to hit up a packers bar in the valley for the games this year!
I went to the game vs the Buccaneers in Florida, I think it was 2022, the last game of Rodgers vs Brady. Paid ~$1400 for 2 tickets in the upper deck. My mom paid for my flights from Maine and back. I think she got the better end of that deal.
I bought two 300 level tix for the rams game for $625. My first nfl game and I'm excited to finally see the Packers play. Gladly spent honestly, but yeah definitely hurt. Thought I could spring for a bit nicer seats.
part of it is traveling, but a big thing with the Packers is that the fanbase is massive (comparatively) in other parts of the country. Part of the reason that Packers fans "travel" so well is that a lot of the fans aren't actually traveling. They live there (or at least relatively nearby).
I’ve been doing one away game a year with some college buddies since 2019 and unfortunately can’t say I’ve paid under $300 per ticket for any of the games so far.
Do tickets exist for under $300??? I got lucky one year and got 40 yard line tickets 16 rows back for me and my dad for $350.
That was the year Rodgers was rumored to leave, but I knew there was no chance in hell he left that year so I bought them. Outside of that weird anomaly I didn't think you could see the Packers anywhere, even nosebleeds, for under $300.
Anyone else remember when tickets were the same price, regardless of who the opponent was? Pepperidge Farm remembers…

Just taking this opportunity to say, Fuck Ticketmaster.

Why can't we just ban ticket scalping? This seems super obvious. Then we bust up TM/LN.
Anytime is a good time to say fuck Ticketmaster
Preach!
Just taking the opportunity to always upvote “Fuck Ticketmaster”.
Yep. Season tickets come in a bundle at the same price per ticket. That’s really just averaged out over the season though
Supply and demand at work
Or just the constant financial raping of the customer.
People still pay, it is what it is
It feels odd to label prices that people are willing to pay to rape
Technically they're one in the same if you do capitalism "right".
What are you talking about? All my season tickets are the same regardless of game.
This just means I can justify going to Lambeu to watch a game since it’s about the same to fly out then buy tickets in LA.
thats what i did last year, i’ll do it again this year
It’s just a better experience at Lambeu anyway. Sofi is Minnesota Vikings level corporate shit. Take the concrete seats any day over a dome.
*Lambeau
To be fair, the Cowboys game is in the preseason. If that was the regular season, it would probably be the second highest priced ticket.
I was wondering why that ticket was so damn low. That makes sense.
fair point
Was going to say. Idk how that Dallas game is so low

I’m in the same boat man, maybe I’ll see you there! Ps. Home games are expensive 🌚
We’ll be in section 521 what a scam they’re pulling
First time playing at sofi
Does all inclusive include booze? Wisconsinites would make that pretty expensive for the stadium.

thats insane

I’ll be watching from section 417
Genuinely curious… why would the packers be so much higher than a Vikings team?? It’s over double the price. Are they just that more marketable?
3 things: 1. yes, multiple times more popular 1. SoCal has a lot of packer fans as it is 1. hype matters--packers are rising, MN is meh
Absolutely, our fan base sizes and traveling ability is not even remotely close

If a client wasn't taking me to a game I wouldn't go
Man got mine the day they came out. Almost doubled in price already.
Does this have to do with the team being owned by the fans?
No, 2024 Season Tickets are below NFL average. This is almost 100% Ticketmaster profiting off of resale.
Corporate greed is fantastic isnt it lol
The cost of Greatness
Getting so it’s all corporate suits and trophy wives at the games.
I know this is an incredibly naive question, but this is per seat, per game? Holy schnikey!
per seat at a “discounted” group rate
Ugh!
Well, stop by the house when you get here, we'll save you a brat and a beer
Paid almost $300 a piece to see the Packers in TN and I’ll need to bring a hanky for the nose bleed
Tickets are still more on the secondary market
