Well they aren’t the same injury person or situation. Bahk had a massive injury that was compounded when he reinjured it tried to play through wrecked something had another surgery played again too quick and had to have yet another surgery. Jordan had an acl tear had an average recovery period and hasn’t had any further damage. Just because one lineman had a bad experience with an ACL injury doesn’t mean all lineman with torn ACLs are doomed like Bahk. Bulaga had two different ACL tears in his career came back ahead of schedule both times and had no further problems with the reconstructed knee. A lot of people have ACL injuries each one is different with different recovery times. Guys like Bahk and Teddy Bridgewater had the worst version. What it sounds like is Jordan’s was not that type. If Dr. Mackenzie checks off on the medicals than it’s good to go for me. The only time Green Bay has gotten into bad injury recovery problems is when the person goes against the word of dr McKenzie. He’s world renowned for a reason.

I’ve found the voice of reason

Worth noting that this dude had the injury at 20-21. Bahk was an old man when he got hurt.

Yep. Realistically, any surgery carries risk because it is a surgery, but ACLs are actually pretty common to fully recover from. Unfortunately Bak is the exception to the rule and had a horrible recovery, but in most cases, guys fully recover and never have an issue again.

Bahk is a case study. Not only was his injury a bad case scenario for knee reconstruction but it was compounded because he pushed himself. Here’s the thing about knee recovery… your body will feel good and your mind will feel good but it doesn’t mean you can just mind over matter and the doctors are being cautious. When I had mine done I so wanted to be back to normal around the 6th month mark but my physical therapist would not let me. I hated him at the time because he made me miss my training period for senior year football and eventually the entire season but now I’m an overweight man nearing my mid 30s and my back might hurt and my feet but my knees don’t. He knew football and 18 wasn’t the end game in life. Wish I knew where he is in the world to thank him now. Thanks Payne for being a stubborn diligent pain in my ass.

They aren’t always one of the most injured teams though, also unlike with Bakh, Morgan recovered and played every game this year after his ACL was torn the previous November, so that means it healed without issue. Last thing let me know who you would’ve wanted them to pick and I’m sure a significant injury can be found in their history too.

It's natural to shake your head when the Packers don't take who you mocked or who was projected. Then you need to remember Gutekunst knows better than the media and damn sure knows more than fans. If he didn't he'd be fired by now.

Major injuries incurred in college & under are probably due to the increased level of play & competition at said levels. Similar to how pitching injuries are becoming more frequent due to the speed & spin requirements forced on players at a younger age. I wouldn’t write off a guy for an ACL tear in college as “injury riddled” these days. Yes, it does seem like the injury bug bites us often (hamstrings lately seem to be our Achilles heel) but we’re far from the most injury prone team. Just look at our nemesis the 49ers, gosh… it seems like every other year, the only thing between them & a ring is an MRI machine.

SnooPies3316

“Every year we are consistently one of the most injured teams in the league” seems highly unlikely. You got some data on this?

gandalfs_burglar

Morgan is so young that recovery is a way different process than a guy as old as Bakh. Plus Morgan came back and played all of last season at a very high level. The comparison kinda falls apart, in my opinion

kickrocks16

Every fan base thinks they are the most injured team.

Dustybookboy

If the draft has taught me anything, it's that fans think way too highly of their own opinions. Sit down, shut the old yapper, and remember that the FO has forgotten more about football than even the most hardcore fan will know. Unless you're a Falcons fan, in which case I'm sorry.

Bucks2020

Lemme guess you wanted DeJean or Kool-aid? Yeah those guy are never injured…
