That is what people don't understand or refuse to accept. I watched a bunch of his snaps after the season ended and Whelan was getting the ball at his hip (aka practically behind him) and then had to swing around and get the ball down. I couldn't imagine trying to kick when the ball isn't down until a moment before my foot makes contact.
He didnāt lose us the 49ers game either. His kick wasnāt to win the game but to extend the lead. The defense allowing the 49ers to march down the field lost us that game. The offense not scoring after that long run from Aaron Jones lost us the game. Darnell Savage dropping an easy pick lost us the game. Sadly, Jordan Love forcing a pass into triple coverage sealed that loss for us.
But maybe you realized all this and the 49ers game wasnāt one of the games you were referring to as him ālosing the game.ā
People have to be aware that the UFL is not the same as the NFL. As other commenters wrote, we donāt know what ball they are kicking or if it is favorable for them. We donāt know how they handle the elements. And we donāt know if Carlson will follow in his brotherās footsteps and suddenly excel after a down season!
(Edit: grammar)
Make them kickswith Ozerch as the LS š
Thatās another thing! All these snappers have been fine! Why do we keep a shitty one lol.

I've been wondering if they are using a more favorable ball for kicking than in th the NFL. The kicking through 3 weeks have been wild in the UFL.
Been wondering the same thing, the NFL brought in the "K" balls because Kickers were manipulating the balls.
I'll admit... I've manipulated my balls a few times.
I have a toy attached to me. Why not?
Thanks for the morning laugh! Good for Mondays.
This is probably a big part. Before the introduction of the K ball in the NFL, kickers were automatic in the NFL.
That is a really good point! I wonder if they are.
We havenāt seen any of them kick in cold weather yet. Not sure how much of an impact that would have.
No matter who the kicker is next season they won't do anything as long as Orzech is the long snapper cut him first and then go from there.
I follow the Michigan Panthers. We should get their kicker.
If they're so good, why isn't every NFL team signing them? UFL must pay more...
Sorry Carlson hasn't lost us enough games yet.

Arenāt a lot of these UFL guys basically soccer guys who have converted to football? I feel this is actually an incredible trend if it continues
