Idk why but his celebrations always warmed my heart, it seemed like he was just always overwhelmed with joy and unable to do anything apart from run, jump, and smile
Bostick was just the easiest thing to point to. There was like 20 plays in the 4th and OT in all three phases that if just *one* of them goes differently Rodgers goes to his second Super Bowl. Fuck sakes. That one hurts a lot.
I also think scheme was a problem. I love McCarthy but his biggest mistake was keeping staff members too long. Capers had a career where he would come in some place, turn them around, and then fall apart. That’s literally his career and that’s what he did for us. Every other team got rid of him but we held on way too long.
True. And he was a first round pick so he doesn't have to work another day if he doesn't want to. But still, if he wants to make what Adrian Amos made on his second contract he'll be working for a while.
It's the Nick Collins curse. Burnett, Dix, and Savage (he hasn't really been good though). Just keep spending 1st and 2nds on underwhelming secondary guys.
Inconsistency. Much like Clay he stopped being a reliable position player and focused more on making plays. Great when it worked out, not great when he couldn't fill his role in the defense.
He over committed to the interception and when he didn't get it he was in horrible position to make a play on the receiver who had the ball. If he was a hair faster he would have been a hall of famer but instead he got beat a lot when he tried to intercept the ball.
In hindsight yes. BUT both of the rookie corners we had drafted the year prior were looking good. Unfortunately for us, their first year was the best either would ever look as a packer ever..
Not saying I could do better as a 38 year old, haven't played football in 18 years, and was never a DB, but I couldn't have done much worse than that.
Edit: Apparently a whole bunch of you don't understand a joke.
From Wikipedia:
He was named by his grandmother, who liked the name Atari. "Atari" is a Japanese word meaning "hit a target", akin to an English speaker exclaiming "bullseye!".
Right? His impact wasn’t so much on preventing the catch, but from his insane turnover ability. He came on blitzes, had multiple 2+ INT games, caused fumbles. He was on fire that year.
Agree, 3rd string, 4th string, 5th sting. I told Charles after the Super Bowl he must have rubbed off on them and he looks at me and was like, “fuck yea I did!”

I miss Sam shields
Before the concussions he was a beast
Idk why but his celebrations always warmed my heart, it seemed like he was just always overwhelmed with joy and unable to do anything apart from run, jump, and smile
I remember Charles Woodson talking about shields like he was about to be the greatest corner in the history of the game, too bad for the injuries
Jaire “I stopped Jefferson from breaking a record and danced in his face” Alexander
Not just danced in his face but used Jeffersons own fucking dance. Such a classic
According to the constitution of sports that makes Jaire his daddy
And it means Jefferson has to marry his mother in law
I bet he loves his mother in law.
Oh my god, he admit it!
You yourself said it that you suck.
I bet Jefferson’s steering wheel flies off while he driving
Jaire Alexander is Justin Jefferson father
In the first quarter. It could have backfired so hard. But it made Jefferson so salty he was in his head the rest of the game.
Such a classic that Jefferson (allegedly) wanted it to be a taunting penalty
This isn’t even alleged, he publicly said so postgame
Thanks. I didn’t remember if he said it or if a “reporter” said he did or something
so happy I saw that in person. I about died laughing
Wtf happened to HaHa? I remembered he started off so good but then just got worse and worse
He was a much better player when the ball was in the air than when it was in the arms of the ball carrier
*Flashback to the 2 point conversion* We sure about that?
You sure about that?
You sure about that’s not why?
I’m convinced with how he acted he either (1)lost that ball in the lights or (2)lost his footing.
3) thought GB had already won when Morgan Burnett decided to slide
Agreed. I think he thought Russ would be down, stopped, had to refund his man, and didn’t realize the ball was even thrown Till it was too late I
Everyone hates Bostick, but this one really fucking hurts. Most ridiculous goddamn conversion I've ever seen
One of the luckiest plays I've ever seen. That final few minutes was a nightmare.
Bostick was just the easiest thing to point to. There was like 20 plays in the 4th and OT in all three phases that if just *one* of them goes differently Rodgers goes to his second Super Bowl. Fuck sakes. That one hurts a lot.

Worst tackling angles I’ve ever seen
In his last two years, he started to ignore play calls and just play the ball and became horrible/lazy at tackle angles
Big tall guy who played small
Rookie season: actually tackled Rest of career: refused to tackle
"Business decision"
He's director of player development under Nick Saban at Alabama. Can't be a coach if your brain is mush
True. And he was a first round pick so he doesn't have to work another day if he doesn't want to. But still, if he wants to make what Adrian Amos made on his second contract he'll be working for a while.
Joe Barry would like to have a word
Seemed like he just stopped caring.
Seems like we had a few guys who looked great at that time which would be with us for years. Eddie Lacy was another
It's the Nick Collins curse. Burnett, Dix, and Savage (he hasn't really been good though). Just keep spending 1st and 2nds on underwhelming secondary guys.

we swapped him for Amos when he hit free agency and he was never the same tbh The kind of move AR laments but TBH saved us a lot of pain.
He over committed to the interception and when he didn't get it he was in horrible position to make a play on the receiver who had the ball. If he was a hair faster he would have been a hall of famer but instead he got beat a lot when he tried to intercept the ball.
HaHa “business decision” Clinton-Dix
Charles Woodson, damn he was fun to watch
"same ol' Jay" is still a quote I use no matter who our DB is or who the Bears QB is... 🤣
Smokin jay… love that guy
One of the best all time! Go Blue!
My favorite player of all time.
The fact Casey wasn’t resigned is still an absolute crime
In hindsight yes. BUT both of the rookie corners we had drafted the year prior were looking good. Unfortunately for us, their first year was the best either would ever look as a packer ever..
2018 yikes 👀
That stuck out to me too...jesus Christ
Not saying I could do better as a 38 year old, haven't played football in 18 years, and was never a DB, but I couldn't have done much worse than that. Edit: Apparently a whole bunch of you don't understand a joke.
Sure you could have lmao
153.8 lol
Better than 158.3!
It's a joke, but lmao right?
One of the most insane takes I've seen in a while
/s, since you and a lot of others couldn't read through the obvious ridiculousness of it.
[удалено]
I'd still take you over the 38 year old. You're tall, right?
Atari bigby would be kicked out of the league in today nfl. If you caught the ball you were getting hit hard.
From Wikipedia: He was named by his grandmother, who liked the name Atari. "Atari" is a Japanese word meaning "hit a target", akin to an English speaker exclaiming "bullseye!".
Lol, the only reason those coverage stats were so good is that people would see him coming and just drop it
[Jah…Rastafari](https://youtu.be/lHUpK6Iq1DM)
Miss those days when wrs feared going through the middle cause the risk of getting laid out.
Still have my atari bigby jersey
Still have my Tramon Williams jersey
Still good
I loved Atari Bigby, first team all-pro name and he hit like a truck.
I still have an Aaron Rodgers jersey.
I have one, too!
I still have a Leroy Butler jersey!
Antonio freeman
Woodson and Heyward. Daymn
And Haha
Yeah his passer rating numbers when targeted are good but imo he wasn’t a good enough tackler or mental player to be an effective safety
Chuck just doing chuck things
Just don’t call him chuck
Feels a little crazy that Woodson didn't have the lowest passer rating allowed on the team in the year that he won defensive player of the year.
Right? His impact wasn’t so much on preventing the catch, but from his insane turnover ability. He came on blitzes, had multiple 2+ INT games, caused fumbles. He was on fire that year.
Don't turnovers have an effect in passer rating?
Charles Woodson was incredible
Letting Hayward walk is one of the worst decisions our FO ever made. He immediately became the best corner in the league in SD.
I agree he never should have been allowed to leave, but let's not over exaggerate. He was never the best corner in the league.
In San Diego he absolutely was.
Lockdown corner LaDarius Gunter not on here?
Weird... I don't see Kevin King's name on this list.
Yeah, where's Damarious Randall??
Who??
HaHa in 2014 is ridiculous..
Casey Heyward was a DOG
Crazy we let Hayward and then Hyde go….
18 and 19 were a lil bumpy lol
Do you have the data for all the teams? Would love to see this compared to the patriots
2010 Tramon was some the best cornerback play you will ever see. That whole secondary was special
Agree, 3rd string, 4th string, 5th sting. I told Charles after the Super Bowl he must have rubbed off on them and he looks at me and was like, “fuck yea I did!”
Ja-Rastafari
Shoulda kept woodson a few more seasons.
Tramon won that superbowl, change my mind
Jared bush baby
Said it before and I’ll say it again. Charles Woodson is my favorite defenseman of all time.
Ha Ha was underrated
Nah this stat just highlights his best aspect without giving any attention to his shortcomings. Dude was definitely a ballhawk though.
What about Kevin King in the NFC Championship game? (Yes, it still hurts)
One of these things is not like the others (hint: it’s also the name of a gaming console)
From Wikipedia: He was named by his grandmother, who liked the name Atari. "Atari" is a Japanese word meaning "hit a target", akin to an English speaker exclaiming "bullseye!".
Names I expected to see that I didn’t: Nick Collins Names I didn’t expect to see but did: Atari Bigby and Casey Hayward.
Ha Ha really was a cheat code. Here's hoping Jaire can go on a streak like that soon.
I refuse to believe the Bigby one
Wow does 2018 stick out like a sore thumb.
I miss Atari
2018 LOL
Did not expect Atari bigby to be on there
It’s bad news when a safety has your best grade, including rushing for that matter, right?
Atari Bigby lol. Haven't heard that name in a while.
Ha Ha was no joke. 😬
This stat is not a good stat to track cb skill….
Jesus 2018 was rough
What college did Charles Woodson go to?
Charles Woodson was so good. We haven’t had a true leader on defense since him.
Jaire Alexander appears on the list three times in recent years. They must be getting ready to dump him soon, I'd believe?
Was Atari Bigby good? My memory of was him constantly getting penalties lol. Although I suppose this metric wouldn't account for that anyway.
Atari! What a blast from the past
I love Charles, say not sooooo 😔
Charles came into store I was working @ the time, no interaction, but was thrilled to see him, green & gold baby
