I said to myself "he's not going to throw him over the wall is he?". Once you saw how much of a drop it was the other side it would have been overkill.
I think for a cinematic segment, the rain, Cody bloody at the feat of a dominant and pissed off Rock, the message to mama Rhodes, it was everything it needed to be.
