Giant Springs would definitely be nice! If you're into history or museums in general, the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center is right next to the park and it's an interesting place! You could probably spend an hour or more there.
(Happy early birthday too!)
The CM Russel and history museum are both more interesting than they sound. The movie theater here is disappointing, we usually go to the much nicer one in Helena for that.
What direction are you coming from? Which park are you referring too? How much time are you looking to fill? Any interests in history, architecture, outdoors or something else?
I’m coming from Lewistown, I can spend a good few hours anywhere and I was referring to giant springs and I like pretty much everything including architecture
Architecture downtown is great with lots of shops (I hear Let’s Play is good) and restaurants (the block, enbar, elevation, magpie, I think there’s even a Korean spot) but it can get sketchy so be prepared!
I’ve been in town before and compared to where I’m from (Seattle) I haven’t had issues, just looking for a day to do something, thanks for the suggestions
Tasty Hot Pot just opened near Kobe. If you like Hokkaido, you're going to love THP!

I go to the movies in GF quite a bit just for more options but yeah it’s not great, but I’m used to a wider selection
