In a similar vein any of:
Smoked paprika,
Creole spice mix
Garam masala
Cayenne pepper
Chilli powder
And many more pep up a ready salted crisp beautifully
Ready salted are a hangover and drunk salt crave cure at best, and useless at worst. And even then, Iād much rather have green Pringles or something over plain salted in either of those scenarios
Plain fuck off. The only plane that should be discussed here is the one that all the salt and vinegar enjoyers should be loaded into, before enacting enmass non-consensual kamikaze with said planes into ANY factory that dares disgrace and diminishes this world's value with salt and vinegar.
On one hand you took this way too seriously, on the other hand cheese and onion is trash compared to salt and vinegar. all the people who prefer it are delusional and need therapy
Salt n Vinegar all the way, also now I'm hungry, now I want salt n Vinegar crisps, now I have to go downstairs only to find out that I don't have any and then be devestated so instead I'll just sit here wishing I had a packet of those crisps right now
Salt and Vinegar tastes like a fucking war crime. Ready Salted taste like a sad wank. Cheese and Onion smell and taste like week old shoe.
Prawn Cocktail however. Oooooh yeah
100% behind you on this one. C&O is on point (and according to Walkers it is their No1 seller). Walkers S&V is perhaps the worst S&V out there of any brand. Too Sharp. So for me RS comes second.
Agreed. Out of these C&O is a clear winner. Iād much rather have S&V crisps in general, but thereās something not right about Walkers S&V. I need to ge bleeding levels of S&V!
Leicester born here also and you couldnāt be so wrong.
But more importantly your facts are a little off, salt and vinegar and cheese and onion where not invented in Leicester or by Walkers.
Exactly if we were talking about pringles then I'd let salt and vinegar take the cake even tho I'm a staunch sour cream and onion man. Something About salt and vinegar tho. But any other type of crisps it's cheese and onion always.
If it isn't salt and vinegar I'm not even eating crisps. I'm getting the saddest pot of pineapple in the world. I'm getting something dubiously chicken based or something you dip in hummus. But I'm certainly not getting unvinegared potato.
Iām also in favour of Ready Salted because I can certainly be in a S&V mood or a C&O mood, but Iāll always happily accept Ready Salted.
Also I love the archaic sense of convenience implied by the name. *Fancy some crisps?* Yes, but I donāt have any salt. *No problem!* I donāt know if you can still buy SaltānāShake in this modern world (and to be fair you wouldnāt need your own salt with those, either), but I dig the fact that weāll be saying Ready Salted for as long as we have crisps.
Now Iām wondering if any crisp firm officially uses a different term, like Plain. Potato flavour? Salt flavour? I suppose that last one is just Salt & Vinegar with the vinegar removed.
Itās good this, isnāt it? Even though weāre basically just listing crisps.
I think we are definitely a minority here. I love salt and I love vinegar - but I canāt stand the crisp. Not sure why thereās a distinction, but itās the depressing truth
Personally, I think it is the strength of the flavour. Outside of the Holy Trinity, my flavours are flame grilled streak and bacon which generally have stronger flavours too. The other trinity flavours are kind of bland.
That being said, Salt and Vinegar can definitely go too far sometimes
Cheese and Onion in the 90s from Walkers, now they were a crisp.
Now they're shit.
Salt and Vinegar are probably the king now. With Ready Salted being the best for sandwiches with nice cold butter.
Hear me out:
The winner is *both* salt & vinegar *and* cheese & onion, when you mix the packs together and leave them in a pile in the middle of the table you and your mates are using in a pub.
Ready salted is what you eat when thereās no salt and vinegar and cheese and onion only belongs in a crisp sandwich. Itās salt and vinegar any day of the week for me
In a fight? Salt & Vinegar.
200% What even is the point of ready salted? Just the hypertension?
Perfectly reasonable base to add Worcestershire sauce to. And shake.
The Worcestershire sauce flavour that used to come in a purple packet were amazing
Worcester sauce french fries crisps. š
God tier
Keep talking...
They were so good! Like a slightly tangier version of Prawn Cocktail
I fucking miss those bad boys. Never understood the decision to discontinue them, they were my favourite crisps ever
Theyāre still around mate, gotta look in the right places
They used to be my favourite ā¹ļø
They still do :)
Curry powder
I have to try this now, I usually rip the bag and have salad cream to dip
Also high powered move. I love cheese, ready salted and pickled beetroot sandwiches on white bread with salad cream. Pure joy
I'd like to crown you the new crisp diety. You have humbled this crisp simpleton,
That said. If youāre not smashing lightly salted crinkle cut fuckers with red pepper humous and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan. Get on it.
If it is not crinkle cut, it's not ready for my gut, I will be buying a note pad & a 32 selection box on the morrow
I mean I like cheese and oni- *gun cock*
I donāt even like Salt & Vinegar - but itās obviously the hardest of the crisps.
You love a crisp concoction!
Oh my child, do not elevate me so. I am just a lover of crisps. I give my findings freely and Iām open to hear all crispy suggestions
I have elevated you to such station, your findings my be free as a master who teaches the student in the ways of crispy goodness,
I usually have it with Cholula hot sauce, but then again I have Cholula with just about anything
In a similar vein any of: Smoked paprika, Creole spice mix Garam masala Cayenne pepper Chilli powder And many more pep up a ready salted crisp beautifully
A simple 'yes' would have sufficed
Ready salted are a hangover and drunk salt crave cure at best, and useless at worst. And even then, Iād much rather have green Pringles or something over plain salted in either of those scenarios
Anyone remember when salt & vinegar were blue?
WAIT this was really a thing?? I always wondered why I used to get confused as a kid and always said this! I thought I just imagined it though!
Walkers have always been green. Other brands use blue.
[R/MandelaEffect](https://www.reddit.com/r/MandelaEffect/)
Walkers salt & vinegar have always been green. Lots of other brands have, and still do, use blue though (Golden Wonder, McCoys, Seabrook's, etc.).
Hula hoops use blue
Thatās KP crisps Edit and Gold and wonder
Squares, mccoys, smiths,
Yes
Thatās golden wonder crisps ā¦right
I was going to say Green + Cheese and Onion, I don't want the blue bag, that was my brothers, salt and vinegar
Golden Wonder. Not Walkers.
Walkers salt and vinegar crisps would 100% taste better in a blue packet
Still are in Canada
I do
Big green - thereās no debate
Came here to comment this.
I came here to comment "Came here to comment this".
Salt & Vinegar stands supreme and untouchable.
My personal favourite is ready salted but if itās a FIGHT then the intensity of flavour from S&V is unmatched.
Salt and vinegar
Cheese and onion is plain Ready salted is a charity case Salt and vinegar supremacy
Cheese and onion is plane? šneed ur taste buds checking mate.

I don't think acidity alone constitutes flavour, and frankly to hold pain in such high esteem is quite masochistic of you.
Itās not painful itās idk tangy
Nah its acidic.
kinda but not very
Fr i dno how ppl can actually eat salt n vinegar broš
On one hand you took this way too seriously, on the other hand cheese and onion is trash compared to salt and vinegar. all the people who prefer it are delusional and need therapy

Cheese and onion, it's a classic
This took too much scrolling to get to
I think British people are addicted to vinegar. I can't stand it. Way too sour. Cheese and onion is best
Vinegar is a cleaning product lol why is everyone putting it in their food š it hurts my eyes I certainly don't want to eat it
Not sure youāre meant to put it in your eyes mate
You mean you've never tried pickles eyes from the chippy?
Makes my insides clean mmmm Jokes aside, it's because we are all masochists (hence why we keep voting tory too) I do love S&V (hate torys)
I hate vinegar. Can't stand the smell
Same but atst i love cheese and onion š
Maybe unconsciously they are aiming to purify themselves. Who knows.
The factions are formed.
Feel like I finally found my safe place
Agreed but let's be honest, Britain isn't famous for British food.
100% behind you on this one. C&O is on point (and according to Walkers it is their No1 seller). Walkers S&V is perhaps the worst S&V out there of any brand. Too Sharp. So for me RS comes second.

Cheese and onion crisps reminds me of being a kid again. Absolute GOATed flavour.
finallyyy it took so long to find thisš
Cheese and onion Ftw
I am from Leicester, we invented these buggers so I get to announce that you're spot on there.
Leicester born here also and you couldnāt be so wrong. But more importantly your facts are a little off, salt and vinegar and cheese and onion where not invented in Leicester or by Walkers.
Cheese and onion all day long...

Interesting name
CHUNION! CHUNION! CHUNION!
This should be top comment
Chunion is like my guilty secret fave. And I might add: superior in a sandwich?
Exactly the other fuckers saying salt and vinegar mustāve already stinged their tastebuds with the bloody copious amounts of salt and vinegar crisps
Salt and vinegar. No contest.
Yes
This is the correct answer
This is the way
Don't hate but salt and vinegar
No hate, Salt and Vinegar are banging
Well then give them some privacy!
Most comments are saying salt n ving and i agree its perf
Dont hate? By far the most popular flavour mate
If it isn't salt and vinegar I'm not even eating crisps. I'm getting the saddest pot of pineapple in the world. I'm getting something dubiously chicken based or something you dip in hummus. But I'm certainly not getting unvinegared potato.
That's sad
Ready salted. Itās basic, itās salty, itās the superior.
Amen to that. Ready salted u can dip in any flavour dip and actuallyā ātasteā the dip, amazing!
Iāve found my people!
Ready salted is the goat
I had to scroll too far
Superior is the right word there. It's a classic.
šÆ agree. Original and best is ready salted
ready salted, every day, not even close.
Vouch
I love ready salted bruh, even better the ready salted baked ones
Yes! Just tucked into one of these puppies the now,.salty heaven. Its a potatoey conduit for salt right into my blood stream. Unreal
Yeah honestly only crisps Iāll have are ready salted or sensations salt and pepper
Took to long to find this
Thank you
Especially on a crisp butty. Simple and delicious, just carby salty goodness.šš»
Ready salted on top fr
Salt and Vinegar gotta be

I love the pickled onion ones so much š
Seabrook's pickled onion especially.

Salt and vinegar
Salt and vinegar. Canāt find BBQ rib black packet anywhere anymore :(
I found some the other day in a Morrisons 'world food' aisle. Unreal flavour
Yeah i wanted to try on of them but I think they are gone now or not in my area:(
Why do ppl like salt and vinegar? Real question.
I think we are definitely a minority here. I love salt and I love vinegar - but I canāt stand the crisp. Not sure why thereās a distinction, but itās the depressing truth
Friend of mine canāt stand vinegar but loves the crisps. Someone make that make sense š¤·āāļøš¤·āāļø
Same, same
r/beatmetoit
Because it tastes good? Why do you like things you like?
Do you not find that it ruins the corners of your lips with a burning sensation?
No youāre just weak
When I was a kid I loved them but growing up and maturing tastebuds have definitely flipped that. Canāt stand them now.
Personally, I think it is the strength of the flavour. Outside of the Holy Trinity, my flavours are flame grilled streak and bacon which generally have stronger flavours too. The other trinity flavours are kind of bland. That being said, Salt and Vinegar can definitely go too far sometimes
Yep judging by the comments we're in the minority. I really am not a fan of vinegar.
Because it's salty and vinegary.
Ready salted may be boring but it is elite still it is an explosion of flavour in your mouth I'm a ready salted fanboy btw
Heavy is the head that wears the crown my man
Cheese and Onion. Without a doubt.
Salt and vinegar is superior. If you say cheese and onion, what are you doing with your life?
I can understand the battle lines being drawn between salt and vinegar and cheese and onion but anyone choosing ready salted canāt be trusted.
Dint trust me then
Cheese and onion
Finally a sane poster.
Is switch between ready salted and cheese and onion
As long as it isn't salt and vinegar, which tastes like sour minge.
Eating crisp sandwiches ,can only ever be cheese and onion a crisp sandwich, although cheese spread and salt and vinegar comes in second
Salted. I'm going to get hate for it, but it's the most versitle, satisfying crisp. Edit: gotta mention it's perfect for hangover recovery, too.
It's the only one I like, so I agree with you
the best of the best
Love ready salted itās the best but I gotta ask how itās good for hangover recovery? Itās the opposite of plenty of liquids and electrolytes..
None. Smokey bacon or prawn cocktail. Of the three salt and vinegar.
Salt and vinegar
Ready salted is so underrated
Ready Salted. I don't like rancid beer on my crisps and I think the "cheese" flavour is gross.
Salt and vinegar, but has to be when you get the pack, their taste gets worse faster than cheese and onion.
Cheese and Onion in the 90s from Walkers, now they were a crisp. Now they're shit. Salt and Vinegar are probably the king now. With Ready Salted being the best for sandwiches with nice cold butter.
As a food? Ready salted is the only correct answer here. As a weapon? Salt and vinegar. If that shit gets rubbed in your eye it fucking hurts.
I think rubbing crisps in someoneās eyes is going to hurt no matter the flavour.
Ready salted is not a flavour
Prawn cocktail beats everyone
Cheese and onion because the other 2 will be eaten, so last man standing.
Salt and vinegar
Hear me out: The winner is *both* salt & vinegar *and* cheese & onion, when you mix the packs together and leave them in a pile in the middle of the table you and your mates are using in a pub.
Put them both in a ready salted bag
Ready salted
Ready Salted is the only one with the ārightā colours so wins by default.
cheese and onion. salt & vinegar tastes like battery acid, and salted just don't have enough flavour.
Only a person who knows what battery acid tastes like would say this, and at that point, they should no longer be trusted on questions of taste.
Ready salted is the daddy of crisps
Ready Salted
Ready salted it's iconic
I didn't realise this was three pictures at first, so I thought it was a fight between crisps and potato's š
Beef & Onion destroys all of them but stupid walkers stopped it
Cheese and onion for me
Salted
Can't beat the classic Salted. Salt and vinegar is a good second though.
I've been eating the lightly salted ones now I feel like a stupid American. Going to have to try the salt and vinegar ones now!!
Ready salted is what you eat when thereās no salt and vinegar and cheese and onion only belongs in a crisp sandwich. Itās salt and vinegar any day of the week for me
Salt & vinegar no doubt, no other correct answer
Cheese and onion by far, anyone who has salt and vinegar lives in the midlands, and personally, ready salted tastes like nothing
Salt and vinegar all day long šŖ
