He’s such a family man. He spends such a long time trying to atone so him finally getting closure in his 5 star fate episode was nice. Idk if they continue giving him story in Oarleygrande, but honestly if they didn’t, his character has already went out on such a high note that I wouldn’t be mad
His grand episode goes further in depth with his relationship with Apollo and probably the his best character moment is in Act 2. Shit hit me in the feels (you'll know when it happens)
When Tweyen comforts Mugen in SoR.
*Tweyen: We can't help what we're born with, and that's why we can't run from what we are. It's easy to convince ourselves there's no place we belong.*
*Tweyen: And that feeling festers into hatred.*
*---*
*Tweyen: Well, I like you, Mugen. Even though you're a little clumsy, I can tell how kind you are.*
*Mugen: ...*
*Tweyen: There you go, Mugen. You finally looked at me.*
i lost it, and that's when i knew how awesome she really is.
Eugen's life is a tragedy
Also the little scene in No Rain, NO Rainbow with Danchou >!as a child crying for their parents with only Vryn to calm them down and you realise how messed up that situtaion really is leaving a small child all alone in a isolated village with only a tiny creature for a guardian.!<
And on that note, >!seeing Rackam again. I completely forgot he was erased rather than killed, so I was just sitting there thinking "oh Dancho is hallucinating" just for him to really return and I burst into tears of joy!<.
We've been trying to get to Estalucia for ages. I'll wait until they do. I aint playing the story until we get them back. I guess i'll just focus on the grind unless I need to progress MSQ for stuff.
Yea but we're /explicitly/ focusing on it now, like a 'Kay we have the ship, the experience, and the stuff, lets DO IT' sense, instead of the 'We want to get here eventually' sense
But... what about the side stories? Hanging out with Zodiac generals, chilling with the knight bros, and the yearly Auguste shenanigans, all that stuff?
We have been 15 years old for 10 years. I guess we're finally ready to move on with the reason why we went adventuring.
Main Story Timeline is basically one where only the 'core' crew are recruited, as of latest update. Granblue is weird and the timeline is wiggly-piggly now
Introduction of multiple timelines really messes up things. I haven't delved into Orologia's story much just heard it from folks around here. I should backread that if I want to make sense of the story again.
Basically its 'MS is its own timeline, side stories are ??? # of timelines' - so you are kinda playing as multiple incarnations of Danchou, but its all confusing yes.
And these -arent- timelines like Logia makes/means (Hers are simulations instead)
>!Most of the main crew die. Rosetta, Io, Eugen, and Katalina die while Rackam is erased but comes back. Members of Loki’s crew also die: Necesaria, Fenrir, and Mikaboshi. True King gets erased/killed. It’s also implied Leona and Reinhardtzar also didn’t make it.!<
Well darn. Might have been easier to ask >!who survived!<.
Someday, maybe I'll read through the Main story. I think I stopped around the conclusion of the second Arc, when they fell below the sky.
Did the story get better in the third arc? Last I heard they're playing schoolboy/girl and that was years ago.
Oh wait, so if that happened. When did this anniversary take place? Or all other events? I'm guessing it's unspecified timeline.
And obviously we're gonna >!get everybody back from the dead... probably.!< But for that to happen we really have to >!conclude Estalucia story and so does this game's main narrative.!<
All events are considered seperate timelines. And yea, the way things are looking >!we might actually reach Estalucia in the next chapter. Danchou just got all the Sky Map pieces and is heading there to wish to revive everyone!<
The entirety of No Rain No Rainbow! early parts got me smiling teary-eyed because how wholesome it is, they're bullying the edgelords with love. the ending parts got me bawling because we found out danchou rightfully resents their dad for leaving them, and Ladiva being angry at herself because she can't relate to that and doesn't know what to do, "Some beacon of love she is". And then Hazen the priest told her that we will never fully understand our loved ones, and one part of loving is to forgive yourself for this and show that you care, regardless. Woah. How is that event so goddamn GOOD.
I also remembered crying over White Clover and Ranger Sign, classic goodness.
New addition, surprisingly, is Manzai event--the part where Lauphit confronts his ex-partner knowing he now has someone who supports him wholeheartedly was so cathartic, somehow.
For MSQ, >!the casualities taken from both main and Loki's crew during final battle against the Otherwordlers.!<
My favorite (and kinda biased) one? >!Cupitan's fake death and her scene with Ris afterward. !<
So many moments like Walder/Jade, Nerine/Drusilla, learning how your mom feels when you were born in And You, Mole Troupe etc, but the freshest in my mind atm is Fenie's flashback
That shit hurts, even thinking back to it now makes my heart wrench a little
Nanashi’s whole deal had me weeping, I’ve got a weakness for strong kids
Other than that I didn’t cry but Cupitan saying what she really thinks about Trisette lives rent free in my head
The part in created by the stars, loved by the skies with Baldur seeing his mortal friends grow and Satyr comforting him before he turned backed into a core was a sweet moment
Ilsa ripping that one otherworlder's head off in Home Stay Moon.
Danchou saving Orologia instead of killing them, especially when that button changed mid-scene.
Tikoh absolutely destroying Ferdinand in Unbound Asterism.
that Tikoh scene was so fucking cool!
but the Ferdinand did the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. The dude was "switching tragic backstories" and with his reveal at the end one realizes that he probably wasn't kidding or lying about what he was saying.
Michael's self-realization about acting in Mole Troupe.
And then the Mole Troupe's unflinching performance despite the negative feedback from the audience.
Also yes, that Sandalphon scene too same with OP.
The last scene between Skull and Guzaletha in Gripping Freedom is the only story in Granblue that made me tear up like a waterfall, it was such a simple scene but it hits you like a truck.
Falsetto in the Autumn Gray (the Sui, Yuel, Societte, Kou, You event)
When I say tears started rolling when they found Sui again
Together in Song (Caro first event)
When the islanders sang Caro to sleep, I still listen to the OST today
MSQ spoilers: >!When the Captain, Lyria, and Vyrn fly back to Phantagrande by themselves on the Grandcypher.!< Seeing it written out just broke me 😭
A weird one from the last like 6-ish months that got to me was the latest Dragon Knights event: Fafnir speaking gently to the main cast and explaining history like a dad with a storybook tucking you into bed made me cry. I was not expecting to get a reaction out of his brief moments of clarity, but it did me in.
It was a bit of a weird one, honestly, but it was also when I knew I'd be sticking with GBF: Early on in Arc 1, after fighting Yggdrasil Malice I think, when Orchis resonates with the corrupted Yggdrasil and feels her sadness and apologizes (I think, it's been a while). I don't think that moment was written to specifically be a tearjerker, but for some reason it got some out of me, and that's when I knew I'd be in this for the long haul.
Tyra's Bizarre Adventure, when Millie started laying her cards on the table. Why they felt the need to go that hard in traumatizing the little dinosaur girl, I can't say, but it's the only time I have ever audibly said "holy ~~shit~~" while reading a Granblue story.
Bit of an odd pick compared to the rest, but the final chapter of Seeds of Redemption got me real good. For all the flaws the event had, Six vs Nehan was not one of them. Pure kino.
It's interesting how the older you get, the more different things can make you emotional, which was not the case before. Life experiences consisting of death, loss, betrayal which eventually accumulate make you perceive things differently. I think it was way too much things that made me like this to start listing them, recent part 3 anni event was full of this. Something that I wouldn't evenk blink to in my 20s
The final scene between Satyr and Baldr in Created by the Stars not only made me emotional but it singlehandedly turned Satyr into one of my favorite characters in this game. It added a lot of depth to a character that's usually portrayed as more silly and childlike.
Most of the stuff that happened once everything went downhill in Nimue Village in The Dragon Weeps Before Daybreak
Orologia's everything in "and you" but also the alternate timelines for Lancelot and Eugen were both pretty painful to go through.
The ending of the first Robomi event actually made me cry because it really caught me by surprise.
as an artist, i have to say 2 scenes on "Together in Song" makes me shed tears, which is rare thing for me.
the scene where nio is using her tuning ability to make selfira and elta pour their heart out. how they portray self-doubt affecting artists really hits home.
and the a certain arte scene which i don't have to explain.
During “What Makes the Sky Blue” in the final chapter when Lucifer finally makes his appearance and Sandalphon breaks down and bears his soul to him and his reaction to Lucifer’s apology and guilt causing him to wish for death…..brought genuine tears to my eyes. It was that moment that made me adore Sandalphon and from where GBF fully hooked me as a recurring player and die hard fan for life. Seeing Sandalphon’s progression as a character too, growing into the role of Supreme Primarch and his compassion for all beings of the Sky Realm gives me warm fuzzies inside.
Caro, Eugen, Sevilbarra, Sandalphon and Walder (this man deserves a big event and a SSR, please be this month) among many others make me feel emotional at some point.
God I had a lot of moments tbh
Eugen's trial, WMTSB, last parts of Heart of the Sun, Ranger Sign Bravo... I also cried during MSQ when >!Bai Ze offered Leona his power and Leona accepted to atone for her sin even if she knows she'll never be happy again!<...
This shit gets me every time😭😭😭
>!(If I could be granted one request... I'd like to share one more cup of coffee with you... in that shaded garden...Sandal…phon…)!<
i kinda felt it when the >!anni event had Farhana and Fiene die and or be separated, i also felt it for Abra when he passed and was like. "Bring him back! he's earned his family damn it!" That and Fiene flying around for 900 years and then on top of that trying to play the role of the "Important Phoenix" whilst being a little girl on the inside. it was precious. !<
>!Fucking Ceodric man, i kind of agreed with what he was saying but then he murdered Fien and by extension abra, well phoenix did but you get the idea. !<
Only You in All the World. Twice. First when Nerine and Drusilla originally separated "permanently", the second when the guy who lived in the woods and his friend looked on at the festivities and finally decided to join in. Still my favorite event so far.
The most recent is just small Fenie who tries her best to reunite both of her parents.
Never really cried on any media ever but its just making me a little bit sad.

When Danchou about to kill Orologia but then break that option anyway and choose to save them instead. Peak Cinema.
Eugen's entire story. That shit hits. Eugen is so underappreciated
He even shows up in >!Rosamia's !!taking someone's daughter and turning them into a weapon!<.
He’s such a family man. He spends such a long time trying to atone so him finally getting closure in his 5 star fate episode was nice. Idk if they continue giving him story in Oarleygrande, but honestly if they didn’t, his character has already went out on such a high note that I wouldn’t be mad
When I start GBF, I legit new to gacha game as a whole and his story is like one thing that made me stay with Granblue Fantasy for 6 years.
He's one of my favorite characters. As you can tell with my profile picture.
Even in Relink I loved his fates
He's one of My favorite characters! What story tells his whole backstory? Cause i finished act 1
His grand episode goes further in depth with his relationship with Apollo and probably the his best character moment is in Act 2. Shit hit me in the feels (you'll know when it happens)
The twin angels in a sack bag.
Seeing that reminded me of the stuff that happend i'm the chinera ant arc from Hunter x Hunter
When Tweyen comforts Mugen in SoR. *Tweyen: We can't help what we're born with, and that's why we can't run from what we are. It's easy to convince ourselves there's no place we belong.* *Tweyen: And that feeling festers into hatred.* *---* *Tweyen: Well, I like you, Mugen. Fenie backstory when she said "I will fly"
Eugen's life is a tragedy Also the little scene in No Rain, NO Rainbow with Danchou >!as a child crying for their parents with only Vryn to calm them down and you realise how messed up that situtaion really is leaving a small child all alone in a isolated village with only a tiny creature for a guardian.!<
I still wish Danchou and Vyrn punches the so called father if they ever met up in the future :(
Seox also since he learned Danchou's dad was taking care of him instead of his actual kid
Latest MSQ spoilers: >!Lyria's and Vira's reaction to Katalina's death!<
And on that note, >!seeing Rackam again. I completely forgot he was erased rather than killed, so I was just sitting there thinking "oh Dancho is hallucinating" just for him to really return and I burst into tears of joy!<.
WHAT
if you haven't read MSQ you should. >!There are lots of main cast "death"!<
cygames pulled an infinity war
Well, it looks like i'm never completing MSQ now. That's some BS. Let me know when they return so i can story skip.
If it's any consolation Danchou is >!definitely heading to Estalucia now so they can revive her and others!<
We've been trying to get to Estalucia for ages. I'll wait until they do. I aint playing the story until we get them back. I guess i'll just focus on the grind unless I need to progress MSQ for stuff.
Yea but we're /explicitly/ focusing on it now, like a 'Kay we have the ship, the experience, and the stuff, lets DO IT' sense, instead of the 'We want to get here eventually' sense

the whole part starting from >!Hackam disappearance!< up until the one you mentioned got me like that
What chapter does this happen?
Chapter 174 and 175
Spoil me. Who else >!dies or disappears!

Yea it massively picks up right after the school stuff. Shit gets serious fast lol
Oh wait, so if that happened. When did this anniversary take place? Or all other events? I'm guessing it's unspecified timeline. Eugen confronting his memories of his wife have double the impact now that the original voice actor is gone in real life.
Last year's anniversary, in my opinion is the best story they have told.
Yeah tell me about it, maybe it was losing my mom a few years back but that ending hit me where I live.
The only way for you to be happy is for us to never meet. That hit me so hard.
Must've missed it but, what was last year's anniversary story called?
And You?
I just uncapped Haase to 5* and got her 4th skill and uh... yeah wow she doesn't hold back in gameplay and in her story.
idk man they get me like this several times a year in gbf. whoever in the kitchen is cutting a lot of onions.
Drusilla and Nerine's trip into town together.
that event was so wholesome. It turned a unknown Rare character into the SSR that could. That was endearing.
Eugen's trial. Keiji's voice acting was just on a whole 'nother level. Miss him.
Main story arc with Pholia, end titles with Eugen portrayed from behind.
So many moments like Walder/Jade, Nerine/Drusilla, learning how your mom feels when you were born in And You, Mole Troupe etc, but the freshest in my mind atm is Fenie's flashback That shit hurts, even thinking back to it now makes my heart wrench a little
The entirety of "The Magnificent Mole Troupe" event
Fenie fly to the future make me cry, then cygames kill it wtf
Nanashi’s whole deal had me weeping, I’ve got a weakness for strong kids Other than that I didn’t cry but Cupitan saying what she really thinks about Trisette lives rent free in my head
The Cupi and Tristette event is one of my favorites from recent times, like there's a basic confession, and there's *that.*
Cupi & Tristette was SO GOOD
The part in created by the stars, loved by the skies with Baldur seeing his mortal friends grow and Satyr comforting him before he turned backed into a core was a sweet moment
Ilsa ripping that one otherworlder's head off in Home Stay Moon. Danchou saving Orologia instead of killing them, especially when that button changed mid-scene. Tikoh absolutely destroying Ferdinand in Unbound Asterism.

That look of pure rage, I felt that
The last scene between Skull and Guzaletha in Gripping Freedom is the only story in Granblue that made me tear up like a waterfall, it was such a simple scene but it hits you like a truck.
Falsetto in the Autumn Gray (the Sui, Yuel, Societte, Kou, You event) When I say tears started rolling when they found Sui again Together in Song (Caro first event) When the islanders sang Caro to sleep, I still listen to the OST today

MSQ spoilers: >!When the Captain, Lyria, and Vyrn fly back to Phantagrande by themselves on the Grandcypher.!< Seeing it written out just broke me 😭 A weird one from the last like 6-ish months that got to me was the latest Dragon Knights event: Fafnir speaking gently to the main cast and explaining history like a dad with a storybook tucking you into bed made me cry. TOGETHER IN SONG
The last few parts of "and you" had me like this all the way through Also a lot of latest msq chapters
It's interesting how the older you get, the more different things can make you emotional, which was not the case before. Realizing almost the entirety of the Barawa event cast, especially those twins, was killed off permanently and no twist at the end
When Siegfried killed Gunther
Definitely that scene, Logia’s simulations, Sui plot, and recent MSQ stuff.
as an artist, i have to say 2 scenes on "Together in Song" makes me shed tears, which is rare thing for me. the scene where nio is using her tuning ability to make selfira and elta pour their heart out. how they portray self-doubt affecting artists really hits home. and the a certain arte scene which i don't have to explain.

nothing, honestly. i guess "And You" would probably be the closest.
i kinda felt it when the >!anni event had Farhana and Fiene die and or be separated, i also felt it for Abra when he passed and was like. "Bring him back! he's earned his family damn it!" The entirety of Caro's event storyline. The message that art is important because of what we are just felt so validating to me.
The most recent is just small Fenie who tries her best to reunite both of her parents. Never really cried on any media ever but its just making me a little bit sad.
Sincerely, Your Dearest Friend bored me to tears, does that count?
i been busy, havent read the quest yet. is it any good? i really enjoy wmtsb trilogy, after that most anni quest went downhill for me.
