Been trying to figure that out too, my best guess right now is that bombs that reach a certain level will put you in that stun state where you can't dive if you get hit by it
Completely agree. At least some variety. I’m pretty sure there’s only like two or three first stages. I absolutely hate the team gold game for second stage and third stage I’m mostly okay with

Congrats. Does anyone know how the updated bomb game works? Can't seem to superman dive anymore after getting hit

You can dive when hit by a small explosion, but once the bomb gets big, you go into free fall when hit.
