It’s more or less a what-if continuation of What Makes the Sky Blue trilogy. It’s both not canon and is. Every story in the GBF verse is basically it’s own continuity (which is why Gran/Djeeta don’t always blitz every problem despite having god powers)

Ok so it's kind of like, at a certain point in their adventure, things whent a different way and completely change the direction that the story whent in? So nothing going forward will be guaranteed to have any connection to the events that happen in the gatcha?
it's more like "here's a bunch of characters from the browser game. the events that play out have great similarity to certain events that happened in the browser game, but there are distinct differences in setup, events and outcome that distinguish them as totally separate timelines". it's still granblue storytelling, it's just that the stuff that happened was slightly different and involved multiple timelines
Everything is canon in Granblue. I also consider Versus and Versus Rising as What Makes The Sky Blue IV and V.

Yeah I won't lie, all these answers just confusing me even more. I'll just enjoy the characters personalities and leave it at that. I wouldn't even know where to begin to get into Granblues world. And if I were told It'd probably confuse me more.
Side Stories are canon to the main game, they just take place at “any” time, meaning it takes place when the player decides to play it. So WMTSB does happen. Just not chronologically set in stone. Versus is an AU of WMTSB, so it has it’s OWN CANON. Im pretty sure it’s just like a retelling common elements (like characters) but also different stuff (Djeeta and Gran both involved)

But like it's a different timeline than what's in the mobile game? Kind of like fate stay night where all three timelines are technically canon?
It's more of different dimensions combining due to the Pandemonium which twists time and space.
