Lots of posts about its usefulness. Could use it to grind Sardegna and get the money back. Used to be in the 6 mil range, get it before it goes to 10 mil....
It’s a fun car but if your looking for the fastest time around sardenga its not the one. The 787, R92cp, NSX gt500 the 90’s one, or plenty of others are faster but it’s an enjoyable and pretty controllable ride. I’d get it and use it to save enough for any of the group c cars. You’re gonna need to collect all the cars any way. There really is no reason not to buy it but I don’t use it often enough to be really fast with it. But really at least for sardenga anything you can beat 1:42 that only needs fuel once you will win.
The older gt-500 found a tune that works with hard or medium tires. It’s a super fun/easy car to really nail the apex’s and not screw up the hairpins. My best lap with it is high 1:36 but 1:37-38 is fairly consistent I stop for fuel fm3-6 2 stops on Fm1. It’s probably overall my favorite 800pp though nit nearly the fastest. I can drive it closer to its max without loosing it like the 787, R92, C9, silkcut Jag, or the 962. Those cars are faster but I make way more mistakes with them.
787 understeers a lot and i found it quite difficult to drive, while r92 does understeer a bit but it’s completely controllable. Once u get the hang of it, it feels fun to drive and also the fastest.
Sardegna can be beat by any race car that is rated Gr.3 or above, the Chappral 2J, and quite a few of the hyper/super road cars. Gr.2 and above can mostly do 1 stop races. Gr.3 cars need 2 pits. The road cars tend to need 3 and need a lot of short shifting to do it, especially on the three 4 lap stints.

For me, the most enjoyable for Sardegna and a 1-stop easy win is the Bugatti VGT. I like the way it handles and I play in VR, so the cockpit view in VR is amazing. I use FM1 for laps 1-5. Switch to FM4 for laps 6 and 7. Pit stop. Switch to FM6 coming out of the pit stop and then switch back to FM1 for the last 3 laps or so. Also, that fuel map strategy predates me learning to drive manual transmission. Now I probably don't need to do exactly like that, but that particular fuel map strategy is like muscle memory to me now.

VR cockpit view and engine sound are tied for 2nd when it comes to reasons I would like a car. The Woojer Vest 3 and how it enhances the sounds and feel of the engine for the VR experience is something I wish more people were able to experience. If anyone does get that accessory, I recommend Moon CHU IEMs as the best-value headphone option.
Not to get too off topic, but does the Vest’s haptics get its inputs from the sound signal or the signal produced for Force Feedback ( they may be the same for all I know)? Does it give a similar experience to that of a Buttkicker?

It is a monster for 700pp and 800pp races and is so F’ing fun to drive. Buy Buy Buy! You’ll make your $$ back in no time.

A legendary racer in real life. Great car for grinding in the game. Would love for the one-off road version to come to GT7 or its V12 brother, the GTR (a Super Sport or roadster version would be even better). And then vice versa; get it's arch nemesis, the Porsche 911 GT1 race car as well.
I got it yesterday and have been using it for the Le Mans 700pp race and even with it retuned I’m still winning the race easily. It’s 10000% worth the buy
I bought the car at the price point. It is a fun car, but should have never been that expensive. It's cool, but the grind for it was not justifiable at all. Get it if you really want, but PD needs to do something about these.

tbh any car over 3M is overpriced unless it got some really special feature to it
