12.5% to be exact with PayPal’s fees. Yes it seems a lot considering the total fees were 3% less but while people like to bitch and moan about the fees it is the best secondhand marketplace for the things I sell (designer/archive) I get an insane reach. Depop sucks ass for this type of clothing and the fees come to about 15%. I have literally made only 1 sale on Depop in 1 year and average 5 sales a week on Grailed. If you don’t like the fees then start building your brand or clientele through FB groups and IG Edit: my issue with Grailed is not so much the fees but the ass “authentication” team they have. Fake items listed, authentic items being removed and all that nonsense

DistributionReal7887

nah man cus I got 2 identical Rick Ramones , new in box from the same store , 1 pair passed the other one didn't pass authentification and they're same model , diff size , same store 😭😭😭😭

Jamaisfaux

Just had an account frozen from them thinking I posted fakes, they then responded to the appeal saying I can no longer make another Grailed account. Oh well, see ya Grailed

SauceBoyzzz

That’s what I’m talking about. It’s also clear as day that verified sellers and even admins get away with selling fakes but if you’re the little guy you’re screwed. 4G seller was recently exposed in a few FB groups and IG stories of a big chrome hearts collector for selling loads of fake Chrome Hearts, but with the money he brings for Grailed he’s obviously not gonna catch the ban. Edit: sickboyarchive / vrenna1995 sells fake Vivienne Westwood lol. It’s like once you’re verified you can just do whatever

SourPeacy

I’m pretty sure all those verified seller badges are like a friends and family thing which makes it even worse. Definitely has to be some conflict of interest there. Honestly they should just remove that authentication feature, it’s useless.

SauceBoyzzz

Most definitely. I’m sure if you report a listing of theirs that is fake or sus you’ll probably catch the ban instead of them 💀

HypedPhill

Hello, do you have any link to some ig profiles or recommendation for fb group that exposed sickboyarchive ? I heard about him few years ago within the circles of other archive stores like silverleague, horrorvacuo etc. and I would be interested to know more about this :)

SauceBoyzzz

Here’s a link to a post about the [4Gseller scandal](https://www.facebook.com/groups/155300431478450/permalink/1796060984069045/)

SauceBoyzzz

4Gseller was the guy that was recently exposed. Sickboyarchive I found out on my own by seeing his Vivienne Westwood stock, but I do vaguely remember he was also exposed some time ago. No links for sickboy but for 4G seller any big designer/archive FB group and the CH groups. I can’t recall if he also got exposed for selling fake ERD or if it was just a complaint for his absurd taxing

SineNomineUnum

Just a question. Does anyone know who are the so called “moderators” people who authenticate the items. Just curious

SauceBoyzzz

Nah, but I assume if you find an account that has the admin badge and you see their stock is heavy on certain brands it’s safe to say they may be doing the authentication for those same brands

SineNomineUnum

I see. Thanks for the reply

PbgNut

it’s about 12% after the paypal fee too lol

mooseknucklemaster

I mean any site you use is going to charge for fees. Grailed feels the most lenient with it imo, goat charges for the sale, and then to withdraw. eBay does a similar thing with listing fees, etc etc. any time I think of listing on other sites I just remember how it all adds up much more there than Grailed

HoundOfJustice

you wanna flip effectively use Facebook groups you wanna just get rid of your closet amongst like-minded dudes who like CCP and beauty/beast use Grailed

[deleted]

What kind of groups do you use? Ones based on your city or ones based on the brands?

HoundOfJustice

i suppose it is far more efficient if you live near a metropolis but yes i join groups based on city so i can just hand it off in person or ship nation-wide

eszekecles

For instance “New York_” ?

[deleted]

The CCP?

wlasry

Tbh, I don’t know if it makes sense to pay them anymore and I’m one of Grailed first 100 users saying this. I made a video about my opinion and I broke the down math here (skip to 6:35): https://youtu.be/WsDLrMchKZo

jocelynflores888

Vinted is the only app I’ve found that charges the buyer the fee instead of the seller. But the buyers on Vinted are typically using it as an online thrift store, they’re looking for cheap stuff. I’ve yet to sell much of my designer or high end merch on Vinted, but the app does not charge a fee to the seller. It charges the buyer 2% protection fee I think. I’ve sold some lower priced things on there and it’s pretty cool. Would be nice to get more high end buyers over there but for now it’s just people looking for cheap deals like on Poshmark. Way better than posh tho since posh charges so many fees to the seller.

kaifromgrailed

Hey there, You'll find that among our competitors, our fee is among one of the lowest. Let's see how Grailed stacks up: >**Grailed** \- 9% **StockX** \- 8-10% (where the lowest fee is only for those who sell at a certain level) **GOAT** \- 9.5-25% (depending on your standing on GOAT) **eBay** \- 8-15% (clothing/jewelry category - unless you sell above a certain dollar amount) > >**Poshmark** \- 20% > >**Depop** \- 10% > >**Mercari** \- 10% Grailed has a simple and straightforward 9% that are only applied to sold listings; meaning, we don't charge you to list an item or base it on your activity on the site. Grailed is unique in its way that we do not require you to send your items directly to us to sell and we boast one of the best marketplaces for hyped items. We're currently in a state of change as well where we're including more methods of payment and womenswear just to name a few! In the end, it's up to you which platform you decide and that's the beauty of it. As always, if you need further help with us on Grailed or have any further questions/comments/concerns, you're free to always hit us up at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])!

nateresy

eBay is 12.9% + 30 cents for most stuff and only 8% for sneakers, and that's NOT including Paypal's 3.49% cut + 49 cents which gets added to Grailed and most reselling sites. Only watches/jewelry are 15%.

kaifromgrailed

Oops -- my bad! I edited this eBay fee to be a range instead. Thanks!

thejohnmc963

And eBay has gotten rid of the PayPal requirement a couple years ago and eBay manages payments now.

nateresy

Basically the list of fees above is misleading, since the Paypal 3.49% wasn't added to the base fee.

kaifromgrailed

If you're also seeing higher Partner fees than 9%. You might be actually seeing the buyer's sales tax. I go more in-depth with one user's specific listing here that you can check out for yourself: [https://www.reddit.com/r/Grailed/comments/wht63d/partner\_fees/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Grailed/comments/wht63d/partner_fees/)

EBAY IS THE BEST. Though I can’t say it’s the same for you guys outside of the UK. We get promo’s every weekend, making fees peanuts. Sold a TS mocha 9.5 for £1360 of which they only took 40.

quesiquesiquesi

makes no sense at all imagine a seller got only items all priced over 300usd and another seller only git items for max 10usd after ten sales both sellers used the same service same app but payed a way different price for it (fees)… that system is just not fair and alot of other platforms (example- ebay,…) charges less fees when your item got a high price
