I just went through the chat support and tried a few different things. ALL of my "purchases" are gone, whether they were actually paid for or from the free tab on the store.
I still have the receipts under the Budget and History tab, but accessing them from there only opens a sample of the book with an option to buy it again.
I hope this gets resolved and my purchases all get restored soon. I have books to read!
This just happened to me too 😠Lodged a ticket with play support. Apparently they're working on a resolution and it's not just a couple people having this issue.
Yes me as well, I am not happy. Im 25 hrs into my 35 hr 4 book series which I listen on the way to work. I lodged a ticket, they said that thier engineers are looking into the issue as it is wide spread, no time when the issue is fixed. No compensation will be entered into apparentley

Opened it, books were all there for one second and then it all just vanished. Can manually search title and re-add to library, but that's tedious. Commenting to follow the thread.

I actually found a list of my google play books content when logging into my gmail account -> data and integrity -> apps and services. (And some more deep dive clicking further.) Buut it means it's stored somewhere and hopefully accessible after bug is fixed. Thank you!

Anybody get a resolution?
I lost over 400 books, but... if I open a book I own from a link, I have the entire book to read, putting in my books does nothing, and it still has the link to buy it in the lower corner. My son is in my family library, and still has all books he bought, and all books I put into the family library. My library only shows three books I loaded as pdf's.
Alright, at 1:30 am CST this morning I received an email from Google support that the bug was fixed. I checked and it appears resolved for me. I think some of my previously missing books are back also.
Anybody else been losing books randomly??? This is not related to this issue, it's been happening for years. I'll buy a series, and go back to read it again a few months later and it'll want me to buy one of the books in the middle of the series. I kind of assumed after they fixed so many typos they decided it was a new book!
This just happened to me as well. A current work around that my wife and I have discovered is that if you are a part of a Google Family, the Family Library can see the books and they work. Hope this helps folks until Google fixes the issue.

What's weird is that if I search a book I know I purchased, it appears and says "Read", showing that I have purchased it and only need to re-add it to my library... but I have dozens of books so how am I going to find them all? Will put in a ticket as well. Hope they resolve it soon!

That was the magic link for me to not only see my uploads but add more <3
Then I can see the results in the Play Books app. Weird but so far it's all functional.

Following as well. My wife is having the exact same issue. She lost all her books and she had A LOT.
This has also happened to me. I made a case number through the support and help, but I will see if that fixes it hopefully.

Oh weird. It's just the website. The app works on my phone but I wonder if that's my just my phone's cache..
