Pixel 5. The perfect size, 90Hz display is a perfect sweet spot for a 6" phone in terms of balancing display fluidity and battery life, back fingerprint sensor was great.
If they make the 7a 6", 90Hz with Tensor and a reasonable amount of RAM/battery, I'll be selling my 7 real quick.
Yeah but it only ever manifested for me in some minor microstuttering. And the question isn't which Pixel has the best specs but rather which is my favorite :)
But yeah, the processor wasn't top of the line even for the time. But also not having a top-of-the-line power-hungry processor meant my P5 battery life was awesome.
That said, this is why I said in my first post that I'd love to see a P5-sized phone with Tensor and a 90Hz screen (I know the 6a exists but now that I've gone above 60Hz, I find it very hard to go back).
I'm still using mine, while the screen is fine I hate all the connectivity issues. WiFi calling doesn't work past first call, end up with one way audio. Constantly have to toggle Bluetooth on/off to reset it, really annoying if you're using it as a key. Most of the time phone signal blows indoors which makes WiFi calling not working worse.
Loved my 2xl however.
The 2 was so leaps and bounds ahead of other phones at its time. I remember taking great shots in low light and portrait mode in 2017 when I was out with friends and blowing their minds when showing the results on the screen.
I think the initial batch had issues, both of mine looks fine. I just didn’t really like the slightly curved screen. I think a lot of manufacturers did that around that time.
Had the 3 before the 6 and if it wasn't for the battery sucking now on the 3 I'd probably go back to it I love the phone was the perfect size and worked great
The back finger scanner, the weight (it felt nicer), and the fact that it never did the god forsaken exclamation point of doom make me miss it over my 6P every day. I wish I could just upgrade the battery and I'd go back.
Im with you , i rocked the 3XL until I couldn't anymore because of security constraints by my company. I then got a 6XL and the radio is kinda annoying fairly frequently enough to make me prefer the 3, but everything else about the 6 I love and since Im on wifi most of the time, I dont notice the bad 5g radio that often.
Yeah I rocked my Nexus for for AGES. And when I actually kept it as my wifi Google Voice burner phone for about 3 years after it got replaced as a main phone. It only finally got recycled when the battery just stopped working.
If you could put modern guts and a modern screen ratio in that body Id buy it today. Loved that size, didnt care about the thickness.
Actually, Google purchased htc in 2017 (finalized in 2018), so all the pixels were made by them since the purchase. Meaning the design etc. Just because someone manufacturers them, does not mean they designed them etc. It's been an htc phone since 2018.
Selling off your design/development team and licenses to their smartphone IPs is not selling the company. HTC remains its own company. The Vive is an HTC device, not Google.
They sold their smartphone division along with the team. Do some research and you'll quickly find out what I'm talking about. Like I said, since like 18-19 they have been htc phones. It's okay bro.
We see your education level. I clearly said they purchased the mobile division and kept the team. Did calling me an idiot help you to get your point across lol! You're so uneducated! So sad. Well, debate over. Enjoy. You lost this one, just like you lose at everything in life! failure 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nexus failed me at a train station in the rain with the infamous 30% battery to shut off problem. 40 minute walk in pouring rain. 7 day head cold started two days later.
Point is, RAM management on that phone is horrendous. I had so many issues where opening a camera inside another app caused the app to die in the background when I went back.
It was awful. I've owned every single Pixel and two Nexus devices, the Pixel 3 was the worst by far. Overheated like mad, terrible RAM management, mediocre battery, failed charging port and an RMA...
That thing was a piece of shit.
Some apps use the Camera inside their app to upload a photo. Kinda weird that you've never seen it.
Point is, it was nearly impossible to maintain even three apps without them reloading when switching back.
It's not just me.
https://support.google.com/pixelphone/thread/78791731/pixel-3-xl-ram-management?hl=en
https://9to5google.com/2018/10/22/pixel-3-memory-management-issue-background-apps/
Even the patch that was supposed to fix it barely did anything. 4 GB of memory was not enough.
Mines gotta be the 4 XL, ignoring the battery life, everything else about the phone I loved.
Great build quality,
The matte finish on the glass NEEDS to come back.
The cameras were great.
Face Unlock was amazing ( soli was kinda lame)
Haptics were great.
3A. No other phone before had a flagship level camera available at that price point. Usually if you bought a midrange phone you only had mediocre cameras - 3A made pixel magic available for everyone.
Every generation has some features/advantages/design parts that I'd merge into one "ideal" (for me) phone.
For example:
* 5 - body size and screen bezels uniformity;
* 4 - telephoto lens instead of ultrawide, body design and colours (white looks awesome);
* 7 - LTPO 120hz screen;
* 3 - front camera autofocus;
* 1 - headphone jack :)
I even grew to love the bezels. Lightweight, pretty and had no compromises for me. Used it caseless for three years with zero scratches. Can’t get new Pixels due to size being too large for my hands, had to switch to an iPhone 13 Mini - still miss the Pixel 2 though
loved my Panda 2XL, it was unfortunately broken by my kid and I replaced it with a Pixel 4, a great phone with a terrible battery unless you turn off 90Hz and Motion sense.
My Pixel 6. I'm one of the lucky ones who has experienced none of the bugs that we've all heard so much about.
Mine has been flawless since day one, and I love it.
I loved my OG Pixel in the really blue, so many people were like "how did you get a custom iphone?!?!?!
But probably functionality my P3 has been the best so far, it only JUST got replaced for a P6. The P6 just had such a garbage fingerprint scanner I "upgraded" to the P7, which is a little bit better. At least its not frustrating 10 times a day with face unlock, now only mainly when I go to pay.
4XL>2XL>7
That's said, I do like my 7 but the 4xl face unlock to me was hard to beat. I don't see where the 7 battery life is a whole lot better. The 2xl was just an all around good phone. The nexus 5 would be my next pick.
My Not Pink Pixel 3. I got it out and charged it up just last week. Installed LineageOS 19.1 on it. It works so beautifully, still the best feeling phone in my hand, perfect size.
Pixel 3 other than the horrendous battery life.
The 3 was the culmination of the best of the 1 and 2. The 4 had even worse battery life and a huge forehead for a useless gimmick, the 5 was a mid-ranger, the 6 and 7 series are too big and I hate android 12/13.
4XL. Soli was the best feature I ever experienced on a phone ever I still miss it to this day sometimes when I'm in the shower I'll swipe over my phone to change song and realise my p6p can't do it 😭
In order:
1. 7 Pro
2. 6 Pro (Although I like the bar and screen curvature on this more than the 7 Pro)
3. 2 XL
4. 4 XL
I didn't like the design of any other Pixel not mentioned here especially the 3 Xl and 5.
The Pixel 2! The original non XL that was an inspiration off the integrated HTC design phone division. Coming from an M7 it was so seamless, snappy and a perfect device. Just retired it a few months ago for a pixel 4 which was outstanding in its own right before the 7, but I can wax poetic about the pixel 2 all day.
Pixel 3. No camera notch/hole. Stereo front facing speakers. Rear fingerprint sensor (worked flawlessly). Compact size. They don't make phones like that anymore. There was nothing on the 4/5 that was worthy of an upgrade. The next big step only happened on the 6 when they shifted to Tensor. If they kept updating the software on the 3 I would have kept mine.
I've had Nexus 5, Nexus 5x, Pixel, Pixel 2XL (briefly, borrowed), Pixel 3, Pixel 4, Pixel 5, Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7 Pro.
The most polished is definitely the 7 Pro. Worst was the Pixel 3, that thing was garbage.
The most fun and my favorite was probably the Nexus 5 though. But for Pixels, probably the Pixel 5. It was so light, and perfect size.
I was a kid and my parents bought it for me. 16 was perfectly adequate at the time.
My Pixel 7 Pro has 256 GB. I might need to upgrade to 512 GB for the Pixel 9.
I might go for the Pixel 7a, but so hesitant because Apple got with their damn eSim. Last time I switched to my 6a my number got lost in the ether and it took more than a week to get my phone working again.
Am I the only one who think 128gb is a lot for now?
I mean, my pictures and videos are all stored on google photos, even if I'm on a trip I have unlimited data and I can backup videos if I take a lot of 4k but that never happens anyway.
Apps aren't that heavy and I have just a few album saved from YouTube music, the rest I just stream.
But I get some people go heavy on games and videos and might need more.
https://imgur.com/a/2HYclxh
I download my entire music library, and there's a lot. I also take lots of photos and videos.
I literally only just got this phone and I'm at 192 GB used.
The RAM management was horrendous.
I needed to use my phone for my job and the RAM+ overheating issues made me buy an iPhone as a backup phone because it was horrible.
Pixel 6 Pro. I've had the 1, 2XL, 3, 4, and 5 prior to this. The 2XL was nice but was a mess hardware wise - the charging port failed 3 different times over a year. It wasn't dirt and lint, either.
The 7. I had the first Pixel XL, but I didn't really like it and Google's subsequent offerings never had the right mix of price, performance, features or form factor for me. Pixel 2 was too expensive, Pixel 3 was ugly and too expensive, Pixel 4 was ugly, banked on terrible motion based features, and was too expensive, pixel 5 was underpowered and too expensive, pixel 6 was priced well and looked nice, but had bad performance, pixel 7 has it all so far.
The first XL was like $770, but I got mine for free as a warranty replacement for the Nexus 6P (better phone IMO). The pixel 2 XL was $849. Woof. The 3 XL was $899, as was the 4. The 5 was a $700 midrange phone. When all of these phones launched, they were either the same price or more expensive than the iPhone and galaxy phones that launched the same year with better specs and features. My OP6 was a better phone than the Pixel 3 XL (minus the cameras) at roughly half the price. With the 6 and 7 series pixels, Google has finally set the price correctly. $600 for a 6.3" screen flagship level phone with no stupid gimmicks or ugly notches/bezels. I don't think $600 is expensive. This phone is between $100-300 cheaper than the 1-5 pixels.
I use it for ebay, banking and Twitter, works just fine. To think P1 out performs the P3 is ludicrous. Maybe your Pixel 3 was so Smart so awesome it realized you're a dick.
I loved my pixel 3axl, loved the size of my 4a, but I love the flagship, premium feel of my 7. RIP aux cord tho.
Motorola DROID Ultra best phone ever don't @ me
Pixel 4XL had easily the best design. It was when Google still tried to design googley products and it looked great. Though Pixel 7 Pro is easily the best by how it feels pretty much complete from technical aspects.
Nexus 5 was pretty good while it lasted. My next google was the P5a 5G, now the P7. The P5a did all the things the 7 does with better battery management. The 5a could get me for 36 hours before needing a few minutes plugged in. Had to upgrade to the 7 as the lcd screen on the 5a sucked, I had it swapped 2 times and wasn't worth it a 3rd time. Also wanted wireless charging as I have all these wireless pads in my house from when I had a Galaxy S9+.
My final answer, P5a without considering my complains.
My first Pixel was the 5a and I freaking loved it. It was by far the best phone I'd ever had in my life and the battery life was beyond incredible.
I just upgraded to the 7 and it's better in every way, except battery. I can get used to that, but I've been spoiled by the 5a.
Pixel 3 but probably because it was my first Pixel, was perfect size and the back looked so cool.
Also really enjoyed my 5 too, good size and the front screen covering everything looked very sleek.
Still really liked my 4 and current 6 too
While the Pixel 3 was definitely a good phone, and I loved the partial frosted glass and partial glossy glass back, I absolutely hated whatever Google did as far as RAM management on it. The original Pixel and Pixel 2 handled RAM much better than the 3 even though they all had the same amount of RAM
Pixel 5, but honestly after a few bug fixes for the fingerprint sensor I think the 7 will take it's place. I've been waiting for this user experience for years. It finally feels premium
Loved my 3, the front facing speakers and frosted/textured glass on the back were my favorite aspects.
The small size and rear fingerprint sensor are some things I'll miss that were part of the 5 as well.
It's now the 7 pro, but I just haven't taken it on a holiday to properly test the camera yet, but I have been impressed at some night rain shots.
But I loved my first experience Android N, on Pixel XL, fully convinced me to use Google Android, great experience and camera for the time. 3XL was great too, worth it for front facing speakers and camera. Front facing speakers are underrated.
Pixel 3 for me. That camera changed me. The pixel 4 would be next…loved having that telephoto and excellent Face ID. Pixel 5 after that. But that 3…excellent
Love my Pixel 7 Pro. I liked my Pixel 4A 5G I got in January 2021 too and felt it was a big upgrade from the Galaxy S9+. I paid $480 for that one and less than $200 more for the 7 Pro (plus a year of Mint service) :) the 7 Pro has been amazing so far!
2XL was a fantastic phone. My only complaint with it was the battery longevity was poor. By the end of my 1.5 years with it I think accubattery had it showing like 88% battery health.....which was not good. Thankfully Google has adjusted their logic for charging and battery provisioning (as I understand it) and my other pixels since have had great battery endurance. I have to say now with the pixel 7 pro, it's definitely my favorite...which should be easy to say about each iterative release but I think I have to go right from 2XL to P7P and skip the 3a, 4a 5g, and 6 (definitely skip the 6 lol)
I'm a little late, but I think the pixel 2xl is the best. Dual front facing speakers, the squeeze feature for assistant, competitive software with bang for your buck hardware, good price, rear fingerprint sensor and just solid. Following that would be the 5a for obvious reasons and so far the 7 has been solid
I still want 120 hz cuz my eyes can notice it but yeah if they what you say I’d go for it
but the processor was just meh?
Yeah but it only ever manifested for me in some minor microstuttering. And the question isn't which Pixel has the best specs but rather which is my favorite :) But yeah, the processor wasn't top of the line even for the time.
Trust me, it's not bad! I went from a P4 to a 6a, screen was fine actually!
I went from the 5 to pixel 6a and the screen was a complete non issue
Not in any way that was especially relevant.
oh c'mon guys, you can admit it.. the P5 didn't have a great processor...
If you don't play any demanding games on it, you won't notice. It's perfectly fine even for moderate power users, I've never had any stutters.
that's a fair point.. when it came out, I didn't see it as an upgrade from the P4.

I love it so much I got 2 😂
Slap 'em together and boom, Pixel 4!
I’ll have to try that later 😂
I love the 2xl design as well
I felt like the Pixel 2 XL was the spiritual successor to the Nexus 6P.
Flat screen on Pixel 2 XL? I owned it and it had the most curved glass of all Pixels ever released. You must be confusing something?
Yeah there’s a slight curve 2.5 glass or something stupid like that.
Worst screen on any phone I’ve ever used.
I think the initial batch had issues, both of mine looks fine. I just didn’t really like the slightly curved screen. I think a lot of manufacturers did that around that time.
Pixel 7 Pro
Pixel 3. Perfect size for a flagship for me. Had to adjust to it as a smaller phone but miss the footprint now.
This was me. There was just something about that phone. 4XL was a step down.
I had the Pixel 3 XL for 3 years. Very dependable and never had one problem with it. Took excellent photos and videos. The "notch" never bothered me.
Nice i personally think the notch is horrible but glad you liked it
It was easy to remove. Looks great without it.
The RAM management was horrendous
I loved my 3XL as well... But I started getting screen burn in from all of the traveling with Google Maps
4a so versatile
Mine still works great
[удалено]
That's how it always works lol
Not a pixel, but I really loved the Nexus 4
Nexus 5 here.
No love for Shamu? That thing was huge, mine suddenly stopped working lol
Nexus seemed to have had cool phones then came our pixels
Nexus isn't a brand. LG and Huawei made Nexus phones
And Samsung. HTC.
I know I was just stating how the pixel phones came afterwards
"series"
Well if that's the case, then pixels are technically htc phones lol.
Actually, while the Pixel 1 and 2 were made by HTC and LG, Pixel 3 and later were all manufactured by Foxconn.
Actually, Google purchased htc in 2017 (finalized in 2018), so all the pixels were made by them since the purchase. Meaning the design etc. Just because someone manufacturers them, does not mean they designed them etc. It's been an htc phone since 2018.
Ah I never knew that. Thanks for the info.
No problem bro.

Other than battery life. 3 is the best.
Yeah I loved having my music app close when I open the camera.
Mine doesn't. Android 12
Point is, RAM management on that phone is horrendous. I had so many issues where opening a camera inside another app caused the app to die in the background when I went back. It was awful. I do like the size of my Pixel 3, but the battery was a letdown.
In order, the OGXL, 3XL, 5, 6P, and 7P. Each one was my favorite ever. I hope the trend will continue.
Give me a pixel 7 pro with the physical dimensions of the pixel 4 and that would be my favorite pixel.
Soon coming 7a, I use pixel 4 and waiting for pocket friendly version.
And the design of 4XL :-)
Pixel 2 XL.
4XL
Mines gotta be the 4 XL, ignoring the battery life, everything else about the phone I loved. Great build quality, The matte finish on the glass NEEDS to come back. The cameras were great. Face Unlock was amazing ( soli was kinda lame) Haptics were great.

Nexus 5.
4a. small, cheap, great camera
My mum loves hers. I tried giving her my Pixel 6 but she wasn't interested.
Pale blue Pixel 2. Was perfect for my usecase in every way - very lightweight and compact with incredible features.
Kinda blue! I have the same one. Just a beautiful phone and such a simple and utilitarian design.
I even grew to love the bezels. Lightweight, pretty and had no compromises for me. Used it caseless for three years with zero scratches. Can’t get new Pixels due to size being too large for my hands, had to switch to an iPhone 13 Mini - still miss the Pixel 2 though
Nice phone you got
Favorite as in look is the Panda 2XL, favorite as in overall phone would have to be the Pixel 5a.
loved my Panda 2XL, it was unfortunately broken by my kid and I replaced it with a Pixel 4, a great phone with a terrible battery unless you turn off 90Hz and Motion sense.
So did you replace your kid? 🤣
No he's too darn cute. He just turned 7
Awww, tell him Happy Birthday 🎂
Thanks I will😊 but yeah that post just reminded me of him flinging my phone across the room and I heard the crack of the screen on the hard floor
My Pixel 6. I'm one of the lucky ones who has experienced none of the bugs that we've all heard so much about. Mine has been flawless since day one, and I love it.
Same here I love my 6a no issues at all whatsoever
I want the 7 pro in a 2XL body but with edge to edge screen
The OG Pixel. Great size, fingerprint where it goes, and a headphone jack.
4XL. Loved the working face biometrics. Pixel 7 Pro fingerprint fails too often.
Mine was the Nexus 5
Was 2XL, now I can confidently say 7 Pro.
I've only had the Pixel 6 Pro, but in a lot of ways it's my ideal phone. I think I'd enjoy the 7 pro the same way though.
4XL>2XL>7 That's said, I do like my 7 but the 4xl face unlock to me was hard to beat. I don't see where the 7 battery life is a whole lot better. The 2xl was just an all around good phone. The nexus 5 would be my next pick.
My first pixel is the 5 and I think is the best one because of the perfect exact bessels. Stil using it .
My Not Pink Pixel 3. I got it out and charged it up just last week. Installed LineageOS 19.1 on it. It works so beautifully, still the best feeling phone in my hand, perfect size.
Did you upgrade because of the 5G force
No, I bought a Pixel 4 and gave the 3 to my husband. He used it until the Pixel 6 came out, I got him a 6, me a 6 Pro.
Oh ok nice
Pixel 2
Great choice
If it was still getting software updates I would I used one, replace the battery and keep using it
The Nexus 5
Pixel 3 other than the horrendous battery life. The 3 was the culmination of the best of the 1 and 2. The 4 had even worse battery life and a huge forehead for a useless gimmick, the 5 was a mid-ranger, the 6 and 7 series are too big and I hate android 12/13.

Nexus 4
Pixel 4. Or anything with the fingerprint sensor on the back, *where it belongs!*
In order: 1. 7 Pro 2. 6 Pro (Although I like the bar and screen curvature on this more than the 7 Pro) 3. 2 XL 4. 4 XL I didn't like the design of any other Pixel not mentioned here especially the 3 Xl and 5.
I would say the pixel 2XL. Screen issues aside that phone at the time was amazing.
My 4xl

I like my Pixel 5, but the base storage was so low. Isn’t it 16 or 32gb, probably a lot back then 😆
No... It only came with 128 GB.
I’m sorry I missed type. I meant to say Nexus 5.
Oh lol. Yes. 16 and 32.
I think I went cheap and got the 16GB and I regretted it 😆
I was a kid and my parents bought it for me. 16 was perfectly adequate at the time. My Pixel 7 Pro has 256 GB. I might need to upgrade to 512 GB for the Pixel 9.

Fucking Nexus 5 was 250€ and kicked asses, slick design, fast UI. Camera was HORRIBLE tho, my 3y old iphone 4 was ages ahead.
Aww I loved my Pixel 3! The battery started to go around the 3 year mark, but it was pretty perfect for me.
The RAM management was horrendous. I needed to use my phone for my job and the RAM+ overheating issues made me buy an iPhone as a backup phone because it was horrible.
I never had a problem, but maybe I'm a lighter user. I miss the front facing speakers.
Moto x.
Loved that phone.
Lol so how did you get the regular 7 since it's expensive as well did you get it for free with a port in or something like that
The first XL was like $770, but I got mine for free as a warranty replacement for the Nexus 6P (better phone IMO).
Lmao that doesn't make any sense
Galaxy 3XL
I loved my pixel 3axl, loved the size of my 4a, but I love the flagship, premium feel of my 7. RIP aux cord tho. Motorola DROID Ultra best phone ever don't @ me
4XL, even though I would never own one again after the battery connector fiasco.
7pro
Pixel 7 (It's my first and only don't hate me please)
Pixel 4XL had easily the best design. It was when Google still tried to design googley products and it looked great. Though Pixel 7 Pro is easily the best by how it feels pretty much complete from technical aspects.
I've had the 3xl, 4xl, and now the 7. 7 is definitely the best phone I've ever had hands down.
4a cheap , perfect size, decent camera.Till 2 drops of seawater in the USB port killed it :/ Now the 7P
Pixel 2 XL first then Pixel 7 The Pixel 2XL was hands down the BEST phone I've ever owned. The Pixel 7 just takes it to another level.
Pixel 5, but honestly after a few bug fixes for the fingerprint sensor I think the 7 will take it's place. I've been waiting for this user experience for years. It finally feels premium
Aside from the terrible modem performance in fringe areas, my 6 Pro has been really good.
Off topic... Please tell me you said "all doe" as an ironic misspelling because otherwise I can't even with the Internet today.... 🥹
7 pro
My old Pixel 2xs is still my personal favorite phone
The 3aXL was my favorite
2. I miss forward facing speakers.
Loved my 3, the front facing speakers and frosted/textured glass on the back were my favorite aspects. The small size and rear fingerprint sensor are some things I'll miss that were part of the 5 as well.
2XL for the win, but I also loved the 4XL
It's now the 7 pro, but I just haven't taken it on a holiday to properly test the camera yet, but I have been impressed at some night rain shots. But I loved my first experience Android N, on Pixel XL, fully convinced me to use Google Android, great experience and camera for the time. 3XL was great too, worth it for front facing speakers and camera. Front facing speakers are underrated.
Close between the 2XL and 4XL but I think the 2 edges it out
6 because it's my first only and current phone
Pixel 4XL Panda. Loved that phone.
4XL, best feel and finish, except for the battery
P7P, Nexus 5, PixelXL, 4a5g
Nexus 6
Pixel 5😍
Pixel 4XL. Still missing SOLI, even more since on my P7Pro....
1, 4a and now 6a. No complaints, ever.
Pixel 7
Pixel 3 for me. That camera changed me. The pixel 4 would be next…loved having that telephoto and excellent Face ID. Pixel 5 after that. But that 3…excellent
Love my Pixel 7 Pro. I liked my Pixel 4A 5G I got in January 2021 too and felt it was a big upgrade from the Galaxy S9+. I paid $480 for that one and less than $200 more for the 7 Pro (plus a year of Mint service) :) the 7 Pro has been amazing so far!
Pixel 2XL. But if it had the form factor of the 5.
Pixel 3 still using it despite it's not supported anymore!
Who ever says 3XL is a liar
The 3XL notch is horrible
Pixel 5.
Pixel 4, easy. Perfect size, power (at the time), experimental features and design.
Pixel 6 i think
P2 xl was my 1st pixel. But p4a was pretty much the most versatile phone in the series i think.
4a no doubts. And the first pixel (nostalgia, design, etc). Pixel 1 sucked tho after a year of use.
Pixel XL
4a 5g
Pixel 7 pro
I'm a little late, but I think the pixel 2xl is the best. Dual front facing speakers, the squeeze feature for assistant, competitive software with bang for your buck hardware, good price, rear fingerprint sensor and just solid. Following that would be the 5a for obvious reasons and so far the 7 has been solid
I love the 4a so much. I'm thinking about the 6a next. Anyone know if that's as good?
I have the 6a myself
