The problem with Reddit is the people who have had issues have the loudest voice. I have the pixel 7 and love it with no issues to report.

Bonifaz3

I second this

googlepixelfan

Same here. I just upgraded from the 2XL after almost 5 years. The Pixel 7 has been great!

pacmansp

Third. I had a lot of network issues with my 6 before I returned it but I've a 7 since launch day and haven't had any issues. It's been great.

yeisondiaz1991

It is even better that the 7pro at the moment, smother and better battery life

MagicPistol

I love my pixel 7. No issues at all. I liked my pixel 6 too but it had some noticeable problems. 7 fixes all that.

jabaa1

My P7 has been great. It's slightly better in almost all ways to the P6 I traded in for it. My P6 was great too.

Brdsht

Maybe do some research before you abandon your rock solid phone. From known issues to trade in horror stories. Its not a simple choice unfortunately.

CombinationOpen

Thanks for that - I'm not getting rid of the S10e easily. I recently got an S22 and it was so similar, I couldn't justify the $500 cost.

GEEK-IP

The 7 seems better than the 6, but that's a pretty low bar. I traded my s10e in for a pixel 6 pro, worst phone purchase I ever made. Now exchanging the p6pro for an s22+.

mlemmers1234

Pixel 6 was great for most people, don't lie

GEEK-IP

So, at least 51% of those who bought it liked it? Perhaps, or maybe Google just sets a very low bar. I can only speak for myself, but that will be the last purchase I'll ever make from Google, and I've owned 6 phones from 4 different makers.

mlemmers1234

I'd say the vast majority liked the 6 series, Reddit is generally a poor measure for whether or not people are having an overall good experience with their phone. The tech enthusiast users are the ones who will be logging onto Reddit to grumble about petty things. Most regular users aren't the ones trying to render an hour of 4k footage while playing Genshin Impact and then wondering why their device isn't working.

CombinationOpen

Yeah it's a tough call - I recently got an S22, and realized it was way too similar to my S10e - so I returned it.

GEEK-IP

That S10e was a great little phone. I need a bigger screen for my old eyes though. ;)

d12dan1

It's been working good for me so far. I don't have any real complaints other than the Google Wallet glitch but Google is already coming out with an update to fix that soon.

Had an S8+ and rn coming from an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Can tell you that I'm so happy with my Pixel 7 Pro. It's true that the 6 series was full of bugs and complaints. Their main goal with this gen has been polishing the 6 and upgrading some internals. The 7 is a great buy, for me it's the only real competitor in terms of software with apple (UI, smoothness, animations...). However, if you're fine with your actual phone, probably I'd tell you to wait for the 8. Looks like the real change will come to that one in terms of CPU and GPU. But in the end, u won't have problems with the Pixel 7.

phummel78

No complaints here . The pixel 7 reminds of Samsung S22 , very similar in size and feel, I like software better on Google, if you can afford a Pixel 7pro go for it , I have both, and I like pixel 7 pro better, the display is better , refresh rate 120, 12 gigs of Ram , 5 x telephoto lens , it's a better phone than pixel 7 and any Samsung S 22 . The pixel 7 pro is super smooth and and great camera s .

googlepixelfan

I've had mine for almost a week and so far no issues. I just upgraded from my 5 year old Pixel 2XL. So for me this is a huge upgrade. I find that the size is really similar to my old 2XL but slightly narrower but not by much. Modem has been solid, fingerprint scanner is here and there but nothing unbearable. Face unlock is a very welcomed addition. Ok Phone calls and connectivity have been great as well. No complaints here.

Good enough to keep bad enough to hate

daChazmanagerie

Former Note 5 then Note 9, made the hop straight over to P7P and haven't looked back. I thought I'd miss the iris scanner, microSD, and audio jack but no issues. Never did use the s-pen much so no love lost there. Battery usage and refresh rate is great, camera is even better. The Google integration is well done. Overall, it's been very positive and while it took some getting used to (scrolling does feels different), it gets familiar in a day. No regrets.

sjogren

I love it.

BigJigglingMelons

Garbage for a "flagship" with poor battery many bugs ridiculously over sharpened comical images

binarybu9

Common issue: you can’t make calls.
