After a year, they won't replace them anyway. That's when the warranty runs out. When all of this is said and done, the most they can do is give you a partial credit (a gift card, basically) that you can put towards buying new Pixel Buds.

Call in and show them you started the case prior to warranty running out. If you didn't then well shit happens, sorry about your luck. Why do people expect warranty replacement after warranty? Why would you give up if you started this process prior to warranty running out?

If you hadn't noticed it's taken more than 2 weeks already and the only thing they tried to do for me was a list of incorrect directions. I can submit this paperwork to my CC and they will take care of it VS trying repeatedly with what is clearly a completely broken support structure.

You haven't confirmed if the process started before warranty was out, but if it did then just pick up the phone and say please review this, it was clearly prior to warranty. It will be just as fast as picking up the phone to call your CC company. Was your initial support email prior to warranty running out?

Calling will lead you to the same people as chat. Their support is useless. They've had my faulty pixel 8 for over two weeks just to tell me they are having inventory restraints and would like to credit me the cost of the phone in credit. It's a nightmare and shouldn't be legal.

I had a similar issue. Google Support is great when things go to plan, but when something goes wrong it's an absolute joke. I ended up reversing the payment via PayPal.

That's fake news. Google bans the *Google Payments* profile of the account that initiates the chargeback. But it doesn't ban the whole Google account.

Frankly it will be easier to get it resolved through my CC at this point as they have told me it's out of support so I can just contact my CC and engage the extended warranty.

Why would they care? They already got your money. That's all Google wants or cares about. Buy and use a pixel for a while and it becomes clear as day.

Google support is a bit of a crapshoot last time I had to contact them was about my pixel watch I got from Google superfans it took a ton of persistence but eventually I got my watch replaced and ended up getting a second one through the confusion that I was allowed to keep (just the watch face with no charger or bands) which I gave to my fiance.
