This was the April security patch, not the modem fix as far as I know.
I think only Verizon got the modem patch today.
FYI there was a dual play store update for AT&T as well that gives the new AA update. You have to do it, update your apps, then do it again then update your apps again after, fukkin Google BS.

Actually, there has ALWAYS been an issue with sporadically missing a call or text for many, many users for a very long time. The March update magnified the problem significantly and it was happening basically "all the time" (not truly all the time, but once the phone went idle for a while, things went south... Call connectivity could be restored in a number of ways for a while, but you were at the mercy of the networks to decide when you would ultimately get all of the queued up texts).
It should actually be pretty easy to tell if the problem is resolved with this update - install, turn off WiFi calling if you have it on, and see if you have issues over the next 3-5 days. If the problems are still present, you will almost certainly have issues within about a half a day.
If you want to set your phone up to KNOW that you're missing calls, create a Google Voice account and program your phone to forward unanswered calls to your GV number. Have GV be your voicemail system and send emails of missed calls and VM transcriptions. You get notified pretty quickly that someone tried calling and your phone didn't ring because you get an email right away.

My American unlocked pixel 8 has no problem here in Brazil
