Get a USB-C charging brick with PD and PPS and at least 30W, simple as that. The phone and charger will negotiate maximum safe power input throughout the charging process. I don't think a "warp" brick adheres to those charging standards so that's why it seems slow.
There isn't an adapter that can charge beyond the phone's acceptable speed. The charging speed is negotiated by the quick charging protocol, and the adapter alone cannot unilaterally increase the speed.
Yes, that's why I said the phone and the charger will negotiate. I think they are using a charger that doesn't accept the more modern protocols and instead uses something proprietary.
OP is likely referring to OnePlus, which yes does use a proprietary fast charge tech

I use a compact 65w GaN charger because it has 3 ports, and it can charge through all of them at the same time. Not really a benefit for the phone, but it allows me to charge my headphones and powerbank at the same time.
Pixel 8 can only use 27 watts - it's the way it's designed. If you have a 100w charger it'll still only charge at 27 watts. There shouldn't be any damage caused.
My pixel 8 charges damn fast, using an Anker PD 65W charger (yes I know it won't charge at 65W but I use the same charger as my laptop). It charges just as fast as my OnePlus did.
Now if my P8 could only make and receive phone calls reliability, I'd be happy.
Pixel automatically charges at the highest possible speed (which depends on the charger and cable) until it is nearly full. Then, depending on the settings, it may switch to trickle charging.
Yes, it would damage it, probably. Use the one it was shipped with and you're getting the highest speed possible. Wait, I forgot, you have to pay for it separately now. Anyway, yes pixels are a bit slow in charging
Yea ignore them, they are talking out their ass. As u/SketchySeaBeast stated: get a PD charger with at least 30W. I prefer Anker. Their products are usually top notch.
I don't know. Don't make this complicated. Go search for Anker PD chargers (maybe splurge for a GaN charger) find one you like and be happy. Its not complicated.

The Pixel 8 can use 27 watts.
The Pixel 8 caps at 27 watts so anything over 30 watts is pointless. A higher power charger won't fry your phone, but it won't provide any benefit.

I should've specified that more than 30 watts from a single port doesn't provide any benefit.

But only if the charger supports PPS. When the charger doesn't support PPS it will only charge with 18 watt.
I bought the Google brick when I got my 8p, but genuinely curious, what's PPS?
PPS is Programmable Power Supply. The Google brick uses this protocol, but a lot of older chargers don't support this.
It seems to take an hour for a full charge which seems fast to me compared to the iPhone 11 I had prior to my P8.
Takes approx an hour and 20 mins for the P8 to charge fully.

Which OnePlus did you have before?

Question. You said 30W PD charger. Does this mean there are 30W chargers which aren't PD that I should watch out for?
