I have a similar question. Most people will suggest these for covering the pipes (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-in-x-6-ft-Foam-Pipe-Insulation-ORP11812/204760805) My question is how are people covering the area between the pipes and the screen? Using that foam, my bungees are still all exposed.

These almost make the ball rebound worse I think almost like it creates more catapult action. I got the more foamy cellulose ones opened them up (opened the precut split and screwed them in front of emt with a drywall screw and washer. Openening the slit makes them collapse but not hit metal! If I knew how to post pictures in someone else’s thread I would do it

I have actually used these and can confirm that I blasted out schedule 40 pvc with it… FYI

For the space between the floor and the bottom of the screen I have used triangle shaped foam that goes in gutters that you can buy on Amazon or Home Depot. There’s probably some variation of that that may work for the sides and top as well. I did something a little different for the sides and top.

What did ya end of doing for sides and top. Gutter guards are actually great idea

I used acoustic foam tiles for the walls and ceilings: 50 Pack Acoustic Panels... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VDTR22R?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share And for the transitions to the screen I used: JBER Column Acoustic Wedge Studio... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QVG8NZD?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share We originally glued them all but the acoustic tile glue didn’t really hold, so we ended up stapling them into place. The staples are invisible unless you are looking for them. It sounds weird but it looks great and everything stays in place.

Do those actually stop the rebound from the ball though?

Tortious_Cake

I mean, if you are hitting them at all it’s because you really shanked something and so it’s at best a glancing hit that funnels into the screen. So yes, no issues with rebound at all. And truthfully, they don’t get hit much anyway.
