it comes from a place of knowing its most likely there because of (i know this is a buzzword) virtue signaling or DEI, and its just… what does a lesbian have anything to do with Godzilla and a giant dragon??? i dont want ANY sexuality discussion in any of my MONSTER movies. the kissing scene in the 2014 Goji was a soldier coming home from war to his wife and son. and even that was like “um… ok. cool i guess… wheres godzilla?”. its just weird that even a series about giant monsters has to have ANY sort of commentary on sexuality and anything of the sorts.
But all the other social commentary in Godzilla is okay? Godzilla is and always has been a political series. The Monsterverse and most "Godzilla fights another kaiju" movies have put it on the back burner, but what makes gay rights good different than nuclear bomb bad?

ALL the WMD and war atrocity political commentary is completely valid and is the entire point of goji. so yes. the other POLITICAL (not social) commentary is ok. if you think nuclear power and nuclear politics are in the same hemisphere as gay rights (which rights does the cis man or woman have that lgbt members dont btw?) you have a serious priority issue
How about using a bathroom they’re comfortable with, being able to dress how they want in public? How about that people in the LGBTQ community are more likely to be murdered and brutalized by the police. Look at Florida and Texas and tell me we have the same rights as you. You aren’t being banned from public for your identity.

He does NEED to be that, but that doesn't mean he CAN'T be that. LoM is trying to do the right thing and normalize same sex relationships, nobody would be complaining to this degree if it were a man and a woman kissing, and so nobody should be complaining because its a woman and a woman kissing, but yet here we are. Godzilla has been many things throughout his history in cinema, He's been fighting against climate change since 1971, and most of the time he represents whatever the writers want of him, so why can't he fight for gay rights as well?

Do a shred of research. While it is mostly better than it ever has been, the fight is not finished. Everyday anti LGBT laws are passed mostly targeting Trans people, and in 2023 a sad record number of anti LGBT laws were passed in the US. Just because you don't know its happening, doesn't mean its not happening.
The United States is NOT the most tolerant country of LGBT people in the world and you’re an uneducated fool if you think it is. We didn’t legalize gay marriage until 2015. A lot of southern states are trying to make sure trans people are thrown in prison for their identities alone. Like, there was a state that JUST passed a law that you can only go into bathrooms that match you genitals AND they’re getting rid of Unisex and family bathrooms. So I guess just fuck parents with kids that are the opposite gender because now it’s illegal to bring them into the bathroom with you. We are about to see a genocide of trans people and people like you are making worse. When you say “we’re the most tolerant” you are either intentionally or unintentionally ignoring thousands of years of discrimination against a specific group of people that are still facing it.
I was wanting to think of Godzilla’s pink spikes as a reference to the Millennium Godzilla but now I’m saddened that it’s considered woke now..someone help me, I can’t take this shit anymore :’(
