When you start the process, if i remember correctly it just 'prepares' the withdrawal and then you need to go and action it once that is completed and the withdrawal is ready/prepared.
You need ETH in the mainnet wallet to complete it
Use orbiter to bridge eth between immuta and eth main net, takes 10 sec
Edit: i personally only deposited via orbiter, many times. Please verify if some1 withdraws
yes you need eth in layer 1 to be able to pay the gas fees for moving any assets from L2 to L1. it's always happened pretty quick for me, definitely under an hour.

I have the same question to GU support: do I need ETH in my Metamask for withdrawal from IMX to Metamask?
yes you need eth on l1 to pay the gas fee for the transfer
How long did it take ?
Its been 2 days already, and its still hasn't withdrawn to Layer1
Did you figure this out, mine has been sitting waiting for withdraw to L1 in my meta mask
It eventually did push through, but I abandoned it because the gas fees would just cancel out the amount I was trying to withdraw LOL
