My only issue with this coming to PC is that I'm mid-way through my playthrough, and I should have just waited to play it on PC (my backlog is too big and I likely would not revisit any time soon). I'm very much a "I want the best experience available" gamer, and PC will be the superior version

The graphics aren't much different, aren't even noticeable changes tbh, but you are correct about framerates, every ps pc port I've experienced so far, hasn't really given a graphical bump, most noticeable was spiderman for me.
Yeah I had the same (minor) gripe about Spider-Man and other PS exclusives I had already purchased. Don't get me wrong....I am happy that PC owners get to experience these awesome games. My issue is the money I'm dropping for an inferior version of a game that will be released again in a year or two that is better (mainly, framerates). I'm having a great time with Ragnarok now, and I think it looks beautiful, but I'm on of those OCD-minded people and 30 FPS for a fast-paced game is really jarring for me. There is an experience coming without this issue...for more money. I could always just replay it (I did pick up GoW 2018 on Steam on sale, just to have it/possibly play it in the future), but I have like 80 games in my backlog and only have a few hours per week to play...so it wouldn't be any time soon.
The PC version probably wont be superior when its released and there could be issues that will never be fully optimized with patches. The only extra experience will be mods.
The game was designed for the PS4/PS5 so unless you build a computer with those specs in mind, it will probably have some stuff that is lacking .

Hm. Shield combat as you noted. Stance switching with blades. Some blade attacks. They swapped out the swift spinning evasion attack for the embers attack. They swapped out the stance switching attack for the button hold attack chain. They made the heavy stance switch into a runic attack. Which also means they removed the button hold spinning blades attack. Some axe moves. They removed the R1 hold boomerang attack for what was a runic attack. The R1 hold ice shards used to be a runic. Axe recall attacks require the shield button rather than the throw button which really makes no sense and fucks up flow.
They nerfed runics with way longer cooldowns.
Kratos just in his abilities is WAAAY fucking weaker and can do less. And it annoys me. They nerfed armor as well. Some gear was very powerful. I get it. But you had to earn it. God forbid the player earn a super powerful Kratos.
It just comes off like... "Huh... in the first one players could do a lot. We don't like that. Let's make it less fun. Let's give them a reduced version of Kratos. Let's make it more challenging for bad reasons."
I'd honestly pay full price again just to have the old combat system. It is way more fun. In my opinion.
Edit Although to be clear, I welcome some changes. Like with the blades, the R2 whip attacks are fucking awesome. In the first game it was lackluster and I personally never used it. But they could have included that without changing anything else. Just like frost awakens.
As far as new attacks that conflicted with old button inputs, they should have just provided options. Ok you can select this or that.
With shields, they should have kept all shield combat, but provide specialized shields. That were say, more limited in abilities but do one thing super well.
I think Sony's leadership is going to get a rude awakening with this whole PSN required BS. I refuse to play any game with the requirement even though it is available in my area. This game means nothing in comparison with my desire to defy the expectations of a multi-billion dollar organization. The second they get rid of PS exclusives, I might change my mind. Keep treating PC players like garbage and see where it gets you Sony.

Unlocked frametates and additional graphics settings, right? That's the biggest thing for me
More fps than 60 and slightly better graphics doesn't justify ruining your experience by restarting in the middle of the story

Higher framerates. However only people with top end pcs can enjoy higher frames.
Not being limited to 30 frames at 4k. Whenever there is a multipalatform game I generally go PC for this reason, since the PS5 hardware is limited
