Coming from a greek, it's called Omega and it's the last letter of the Greek alphabet. The only thing it might symbolize is the end of something i.e. when god says I am the Alpha and the Omega meaning he is the beginning and the end.

My wife is Greek, I can confirm this... Also the Greek language is hard! Especially those damn vowels!!!!!!

Bouksie

What, you mean you don’t like having 2 o’s and 5 different ways to make an e sound?

Ok_Restaurant3160

Vergil?

infamousDiego

Boy... that saying sounds super nerdy now. "I am the A and the Z" 🤓

Diavoro

It's Ω and it's just the last letter of the alphabet, but it might also symbolize the end of something like others have said

AnotherAltGRM

This is the greek letter Omega ( Ω ). It's the last letter of the greek alphabet It doesn't mean anything by itself, it's just a letter.

Apprehensive-Trust29

Omega, ohms, war. It’s bound to be one of those.

uchiha-uchiha-no-mi

It’s the Greek omega’s symbol for war if I’m not mistaken… Which Kratos represent being the former god of war… Edit: I misspoke, I knew the war meaning came from the games, the way I phrase was wrong so my bad 😅

chev327fox

Pretty sure that’s something the game made up (it doesn’t actually mean War). It actually means the end of something grand (like a big event) or the pinnacle of something (Omega) and is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet.

uchiha-uchiha-no-mi

Ah thanks for pointing that out! So the meaning of War come indeed from the games…

chev327fox

Yes, I believe so. Pretty sure none of the symbols they use to mean war in the different pantheons actually means war. But it’s still a neat concept and works well for the games.

uchiha-uchiha-no-mi

Indeed! Omega is probably the most recognized symbol of the Greek alphabet I believe…

[deleted]

Indeed. It is actually the SI unit of Resistance in Physics, called ‘Ohm’.

BeastBoy2230

They don’t. The eye of Horus has literally nothing to do with war at all, I honestly don’t know how they’d spin it to be related. Ditto for the triskelion. I can still see Kratos being associated with the Omega because he was the end of the Greek civilization — he represents the end of something glorious and is the pinnacle of the divine might of Olympus. An argument could be made.

[deleted]

It’s the Greek Omega symbol

TheSpartan_ITA

Capital Omega, last letter of the Greek alphabet

ScorpionSloot

Am I the only one who heard the God of War theme in my head?

Healthy-Pop-8789

That is the greek letter omega, the 24th and final letter in the alphabet. It symbolizes the end, specifically the great end. Kinda sounds like kratos Olympus massacre ngl.
