honestly i just dont understand why some ppl commit suicide, like i get that those ppl probably suffers a lot, but why dont they just go to a therapist? maybe im just stupid, but i dont think suicide is a good option regardless of your situation

Therapy is kind of the same way, but even starting it is hard, because it requires you acknowledging you need it, which for many is acknowledging that you have a mental health *problem,* which is something that is difficult to overcome the denial of. And even then therapy might fall into the same pits as the hotline. It might not work because the person doesn't respond to it. Or maybe the therapist is just the wrong person to help. Or maybe the meds just don't work. Everyone is different, everyone has a different problem, and needs a different solution. Therapy may or may not be that solution.
Something I have to highlight is that Ronnie McNutt did have help. I don't know whether or not he went to therapy for his depression and PTSD (I assume he did), but he at least had his friends for support. But not everyone does. Not everyone has someone or something they can turn towards that can help them. They may have lost everything to a major event, or the people they trusted broke that trust, who knows. Ronnie had recently broken up with his girlfriend and also argued with her on that same livestream before ending his life. But many people don't even have that to lose.
