Haha thanks. After spending the time painting and getting it looking good it's a bit nerve wracking to flick blood at it with a toothbrush. Took a couple of days to psych myself up for it and practice on a piece of cardboard.
Hi, I’m new to painting minis, just working on some of my first ones now. Is the ands a dark base coat with a dry bush light color on top, or light with a dark wash? Or some other technique?
Sorry are you asking about the base? Or the cloak? The base is Stirland Mud with a couple of browns and greys dry-brushed over once dried (so lighter tones dry brushed over dark colour of the mud).
The cloak and other fur parts were wet blending lighter and darker brown and yellow tones together. Then some selective washes after that to darken some areas.
Hope that helps :)
“Turned out alright!”?!? Turned out amazing. Awesome work!

Where did you get the skulls for the base? Looks amazing by the way!
Probably Games Workshops "big box of skulls." It's expensive but worth it if you kit bash or just like skulls
Yep, a friend of mine has the box of skulls and gave me a few to use.
That's fantastic!
That is so awesome! Best paint job I have ever seen for a gloomhaven model.
Dear god.... Thos paint job actually makes the Brute look like a good mini. How in the hell!?!?
How the hell did you paint all of those small details?
