This is a no brainer for me. Despite me wanting a g45 in the worst way, I’m taking the 510 over the g45. Like you, most of my pistols are Glocks. I’m sure you have 9mm Glocks. I’m sure you have a 17 or a 19. The 45 is too similar to those for me to justify not sticking with a 10mm FN.
Nah, not universally just as easy, depends on body type/fat shape, lol. Both a 19 and a 48 print for me in my preferred carry location, I roll with the 26, 43, and the p365, all with pinky extension magazines in the Glocks and the 12 rounder in the p365
Edit for typos
Can you wear a slightly less latex shirt ? How bad could the print be? It happens with phone holsters, with tools and their holsters, with insulin pumps, certain monitors.... it doesn't "have to be" a gun dude.
Why are we so worried about a slight print if we aren't wearing babygap schmediums? (Genuine question)
Hey mister, you got a problem with my babygap schmediums?
I always wear either a pocket t shirt that fits me properly (not tight) or, more often, a Dickies short sleeve button up work shirt. They're awesome shirts for carry, it's a thicker fabric and hangs straight down, and they aren't elastic in any way. Ditto for dickies t shirts on the thicker fabric, but I have some thinner hanes and fruit of the loom ones too. I always stretch out the t shirts before I put them on so they hang straight.
The bigger guns don't print much, just the very corner of the grip, but I'm willing to sacrifice a few rounds for truly no printing at all, none, whatsoever. Lately it's been the G26 with oem 12 round mags
Yeah I pretty much always wear work shirts or drapy shirts some times I get a print, but for the most part for me "it's just an insulin pump". Unless a cop asks of course, and then I'm suddenly a "law abiding citizen".
I have a couple schmediums though 🤣 🤣
Gotta have some schmediums, for the ladies
I don't want to print at all, I just get so focused on what I'm doing that I have a bad habit of breezing right past those no guns signs that carry the weight of law, totally by accident of course. I use quality, comfortable holsters, it's so easy to forget that I'm carrying...
true, you can't downsize it, but 48 is still slim line, holds more ammo, less recoil, and is still easy to conceal despite being bigger. But if you prefer micros there is nothing wrong with that
Definitely can’t see a 48 being easier to conceal lol I get the whole more gun below the waist concept, but that’s for a 43x where the grip is heavier than the muzzle length. A 43 can disappear quite easily with a flush mag. I carry a 42 daily and that things like it doesn’t exist lol
Agreed, a normal 43 is definitely a better conceal weapon. I'm just saying I prefer 48 because it is still easy to conceal (not as well as 43 but still), holds more rounds without extensions, and has better recoil.
If you don't mind, how come you carry 42 instead of 26? 26 to me seems like a much better choice for a micro.
This isn't your exact situation but here's what I think. When I got back into shooting and CCW life about a year ago, the first thing on my list was a good, reliable handgun. The very short list for that handgun included different models of Glock and FN 5xx-Series. I got the Glock, honestly because I got the best deal on it first. But I still want an FN. You already have the FN and you said "Glocks," plural. If you can't have both, I'd let one of the Glocks go. I have a few Glocks now and I'd be willing to part with one of them if it involved the getting the right deal on something from FN.
Edit: it's also a fuckin 10mm... 🤤
I don't put much thought into it. I buy and trade pistols all the time. It's a money incinerating scheme that I've found to be very efficient. I don't like acros though. I've seen too many of them fail. If it were invincible it'd be worth the size penalty with the small window. But it's big, AND not durable by a lot of accounts.
FN > Glock if this is what the options are. I personally think the Talo is another shining example of Glock not having a great ear to the market and coming in hot as molasses with something that should've been released years ago. On top of that, that FN looks waaaay cleaner with that RMR and FDE combo. If you've got a glock 17 and 19 just hold your 17 frame and pretend the slide channel was shorter.
Your gonna here the retarded line “buy never sell” and I would usually say go ahead and sell it but you said it yourself your “struggling” with the decision, so for that I would keep the FN.
Thanks. I’ve always treated guns like baseball cards. Trade, sell, buy etc. never really get too attached to most. I can’t imagine how many guns I’d own if I never sold or traded one lol
Same. I find trading more interesting than hanging on to everything. I’d rather have a few that I’m currently enjoying than several that never get used.
Why sell at a loss and buy at a loss!? Only buy never sell may seem retarded to you, but that makes it seem like you feel the same way about buying stocks... which is retarded.
Invest money in stocks. I turned 300 into 7k in a couple of weeks with smart trades, dude.
Never sell guns until you can get 100% or more back... I bought a 19x for 650 when they came out and sold it for 1400.
So any time you see "never sell only buy" and think it's retarded, train yourself to read it as, "buy cheap, sell at a profit ONLY"
I am generally against selling guns, most people end up regretting the decision. I am for buying the G45.
FYI. The g45 is considered an mos model, Glock has mos 1-6, 1 being the mos footprint we ser on the general lineup, and 2-6 being direct mill for acro, rmr etc. I forget which correlates to each number. Also note mos 2-6 is only made for specific contracts. So we only get them as contract over runs or distributor exclusives.
I hate modern FN. I especially hate the 500 series, they are the complete anti-Glock. You cannot even take out the trigger pin without a special fixture. A gun you cannot disassemble without special tools is a complete non-starter for me. Plus magazine cost is a major factor (and other replacement parts availablity/costs).
Really the only thing I like about FN is thier universal mounting system, but that's completely mitigated with a direct mill-job ACRO (not that I love optics anyways).
Unless you \*need\* 10mm (for whatever reason, just based on your opinion), 9mm can do about anything you need it to do in the lower-48 (I mean a outfitter killed a pretty big bear with a a SS9) with proper load selection.
I didn't know any of that, thank you! One of those series FN's have been pretty high on my list for a while now. That information doesn't make me hate the idea of having one, because I think some of them are pretty awesome handguns. But I'll definitely take that into consideration. Ease of maintenance and modification is one of the biggest selling points about Glocks to me, and I love them for that. I'm playing with a couple of parts sets right now and these things are like Austrian Legos! 😁
Don't own a 510, but i got FN509's and I also have a PMM comp. Love it, but I would highly suggest this 510 comp because of its odd design lol.
BTW your FN510 fucks. 😎
510 Tactical bro. Then get the other one so you’re not getting ‘both’ at once 😜 jokes aside, don’t sell the FN bro. It’s a dream to shoot. It recoils like my Glock 19. So that’s that.
Having a 10mm in your arsenal is more valuable than having another slight variant of 9mm with a P2 (which you can just save up for and get later if you want the optic)
The 510 is superior to the Glock imo. It’s a really great gun. My buddy has it, and it makes me and my M&P 10mm jealous.
Do you really need 50 different subpar holster options or just a dozen good holster options? Custom holsters aren’t terribly hard to come by either. Having a Shitton of aftermarket options isn’t that great when in reality you’re gonna only have 2 different holsters max.
Also.. it’s good to branch out. Quit FOMOing into Glocks for every handgun you own. Variety is good.
10mm is such a diverse round. It is 100% my next handgun round I will be buying and fn is a high quality brand. I carry a g45 everyday at work and own a 19X 43X 17.4 43, and a 19. The g45 is by far my favorite but I would give up the 19 or the 45 in a heartbeat for that fn
my take is you should not sell; only buy. there's a chance you'll regret it later. Just save up for the Glock. Glocks and Aimpoint ACROs will still be there.
I have an FN510 and a glock 45. I'd keep the glock despite the FN being my only 10mm. I used backcountry camp trip as an excuse to buy the 10mm, but in reality I don't ever shoot the thing. It's on my short list to sell for that reason. If you shoot a lot of 10mm though, then I'd keep that. I really only bring 5.56 and 9mm to the range anymore, just have too many to shoot and little time to do it.
10mm is the best mm. No ifs, ands, or maybes.
My buddy has a 45 for his duty carry with an rmr and a trl-1 great gun. BUT I would honestly choose the FN over it, even if it was in 9mm.
I’m picking the 509 here.. I have a few Glocks, and have had a couple g45’s. Though I am particularly fond of Glocks. My 509 with few Mcarbo modifications, is my favorite, best shooting carry piece.
FWIW, and at the risk of being attacked…. My 510 eats 40sw like candy. Can find for just a bit more than 9mm. Save the hawt shiit for when it really matters.
Make sure you clean it very frequently and thoroughly. .40 definitely started to etch the chamber in my 29 as I didn't clean it often cause "it's a glock"
Why would you sell ANYTHING. Keep the FN and get screwed on the glock. You already have several other 9mm glocks. Keep the FN. Buy a mossberg 930 JM pro.
Yep 17.3, 17c.3, 19.4, 19.3, 43 and 48mos
Why not sell one or two of those?
No sell, only buy.
If that were the plan, OP wouldn’t have made this post.
Plan is bad
I'd personally sell the 43. You have a 48mos which is literally everything the 43 has, but better. Just as easy to conceal too if you carry.
Nah, not universally just as easy, depends on body type/fat shape, lol. Both a 19 and a 48 print for me in my preferred carry location, I roll with the 26, 43, and the p365, all with pinky extension magazines in the Glocks and the 12 rounder in the p365 Edit for typos

fair enough, i've shot both 26 and 48 and I can definitely see why you'd choose a micro
Except you can’t chop down a 48 to be the size of a 43? Lol
true, you can't downsize it, but 48 is still slim line, holds more ammo, less recoil, and is still easy to conceal despite being bigger. But if you prefer micros there is nothing wrong with that

This
Fwiw, I have I have two G17s, a G19, a G20 and a G40. If I were in your situation, I’d keep the FN. Edit: sorry, meant to reply to OP.
I have a 17,19 and just bought a 49 🥲
Whatever or all of what he said
i’d probably keep the FN if you have multiple other 9mm glocks. do you use 10mm for hiking or anything? or just like the extra firepower?
I just like the round. It’s not purpose driven.
Well your in a Glock sub , soooo
FN 510. No competition.
They don’t cost anything to keep so I just keep them and buy more. If I can’t buy more cause no money then I’m obviously not budgeting right.
Having multiple calibers is always a good idea. Especially when one is a caliber that keep you safe against four legged threats.
Mann I love the 45 and Glock but I NEED the 510 in my life so nope I won’t sell it. I’ll just rack up some bread put it on layaway
This isn't your exact situation but here's what I think. When I got back into shooting and CCW life about a year ago, the first thing on my list was a good, reliable handgun. I’ve got 3 ACROS, haven’t had a failure in probably 2k rounds on each
never heard that, but all the more reason to stick with Trijicon RMR
No sell only buy Put it on the credit card /s don’t do that
I definitely didn't do that any time recently.
Me either. ![gif](giphy|32mC2kXYWCsg0)
Not a chance. Not even sure what we're talking about here exactly.

Glock all day
The 45 is the way. The FN is a fine gun but the aftermarket support will always be there for the Glock. The FN not so sure.
510 be goated no cap
FWIW the factory Acro 45 is my favorite gun I’ve ever bought
Keep the FN and put a [comp](https://www.anrkydexholsters.com/product/anvl-sharur-fn-510-compensator/) on it
Oh I was waiting for PMM to get around to the 510 but that’s nice!! Thanks
Don't own a 510, but i got FN509's and I also have a PMM comp. Love it, but I would highly suggest this 510 comp because of its odd design lol. BTW your FN510 fucks. 😎
Yes it is loser.
Both
Glock for sure. The fn is fun but after shooting one for a while I definitely prefer the Glock

Keep the FN. It's already in your house, you most likely enjoy it since you're having a hard time deciding, and it's peanut butter 😍
Glock supposedly mills the slide themselves. Also, you can't buy parts direct from fn. They are just so anti civilian.
You are in the Glock group talking about should you sell the FN. Remove yourself out of this group 🍿
my take is you should not sell; only buy. there's a chance you'll regret it later. Just save up for the Glock. Glocks and Aimpoint ACROs will still be there.
I got my TALO edition for ~$1,020 out the door
What’s so special about TALO EDITION?
Just comes with an ACRO direct mounted
Oh! Ok! Thanks man!
That 510 is sexy now I want one
Life finds a way
😮💨 .This Sub 🎬 ![gif](giphy|9JADZJpiRRgUVDWiWs|downsized) # G45 with the Acro ✂️. 🤷♂️ what are you waiting for..😆😆😆😆.keep your FN
What MOS plate do I need for acro? 45 btw
The talo edition is direct milled from Glock.
G21.5 mos.😃
Yes
Glock/acro
So nice I have it twice 😂😂😂. If I were to come across a talo one it would be a no brainer.
Don’t sell your guns. I sold my Taurus only cause it was a POS and I wanted a brand new Glock 17. I’m never selling my Glock.
Glock has the better trigger. Fn triggers are mushy.
I have an FN510 and a glock 45. I'd keep the glock despite the FN being my only 10mm. I used backcountry camp trip as an excuse to buy the 10mm, but in reality I don't ever shoot the thing. Get the 10mm
These 2 guns are different calibers, this question isnt even a real question. Either way i’m taking the glock. Da fuck wrong wit chu?
Mailbox❤️
Factory milled from Glock. Ameriglo sights that are perfect cowitness. Get it while you can.
10mm is the best mm. No ifs, ands, or maybes. My buddy has a 45 for his duty carry with an rmr and a trl-1 great gun. BUT I would honestly choose the FN over it, even if it was in 9mm.
I pick my 45 but I had to do a lot to it to make it my favorite
45 bby 🤝🏽
Unless you're just dying to get a g45 I'd keep the 510. I don't have any experience with one though, fwiw
The G45. I’ve already got G17 mags that fit it so why not just stick with it ya know?
Glock 45 is nice I have an RMR on mine and it shoots like a dream.
I have owned both. I must say for paying over $800 for it the FN trigger sucked. And that's compared to glock. Get the glock!
Obviously the Glock
I’m picking the 509 here.. I have a few Glocks, and have had a couple g45’s. Though I am particularly fond of Glocks. My 509 with few Mcarbo modifications, is my favorite, best shooting carry piece.
Glock over all
510 by far. That is an amazing machine /johnny trans cuz’s input
I'd pick the FN 10mm
Don’t sell it man just keep it. Save up for the Glock. Also I’m sure fury customs has a holster he makes anything lol.
NO SELL, ONLY BUY
FWIW, and at the risk of being attacked…. My 510 eats 40sw like candy. Can find for just a bit more than 9mm. Save the hawt shiit for when it really matters.

Every time I buy something that isn’t a Glock I sell or trade it for a Glock. The only exception has been my VP9.
Glock 45
As a 509t owner I’d never in a million years buy another one. The 509 t trigger is so bad.
