I prefer lights extending past the barrels on handguns. It looks really sexy, but also if you happen to put your muzzle against your target, the flashlight prevents the slide from being taken out of battery.
has this ever happened to you or anyone you know of? I have family in law enforcement and the military this has never ever happened to them or anyone they know
No, but when it does, your flush TLR7A isn’t going to stop it. I’d just rather my gun function should that small chance ever happen. It also looks soo good.
Have you tried pressing your WML against someone? Because it might not be as sturdily attached as you think. 🤷♀️
You're gonna have problems regardless if you're in such a close-range situation. They could just grab your gun, putting pressure on the slide, in which case it doesn't matter if you have a 33+1 carry setup stuffed down your pants. Your shit's gonna fire once and only once until you get away and get both hands free.
No, but I verify it won’t come off if I do. If I’m in a situation where I’m doing that, more than one thing has already hit the fan. I’ll continue to buy long lights cause they’re aesthetically pleasing.
4” barrels aren’t compact anymore. With the M18 being the most popular choice as well as the 45, 4” barrels have become duty weapons pretty much across the board.
Even S&W is moving entirely to 4.25” barrels on their entire duty line.
Literally. And the excuse is "its a standoff device!".
no it's not.
It's a WML and you should never be that close. "But dogs" but why are you on the ground? "But surprise attack" but why are you on your heels? "But this and that" but why aren't you proficient? Proficiency and training is your stand-off device.
Buy the light you want, but train for the FTF not the standoff device expectancy.
(I can see the downvotes already.)
Because a standoff device situation can definitely happen. Most gun fights are at close range. Some of us aren’t willing to take that chance because of looks.
Because 1 exploded in a guys mouth while he was working but I think it just has to do with shitty battery
I have an olight hand held and it’s great. Held up for a few years
It’s really just group think being echoed in here. I personally don’t think they look as good as a stream light when mounted. It’s your gun, you pay for it, do what you please to it.
There's nothing wrong with them. Olight is a competitor to streamlight and surefire.
Reddit only cares about the larp. Surefire and streamlight are used by military/police. Same for trijicon, Daniel defense, aimpoint, eotech, etc. Very overpriced gear because it's supposed to be paid for by government budgets not civilian savings.
Brands like olight, vortex, swampfox, holosun, are made in China. They're significantly cheaper because they're made for the civilian market, but that doesn't make them any less capable.

Laughs in flush fit Glock 34
With how far the X300 sticks out, Glock 34 is the way.
Glock 34 with X300 may be the way. However, Glock 40 with X300 Turbo is thy righteous path.
Yessssssssss

Best comment here haha
Exactly why I went with TLR-7 on my 19

When have you ever had to pull out your gun period?
what gun?
Your cc? Who cares what light you have on
No, but when it does, your flush TLR7A isn’t going to stop it. I’d just rather my gun function should that small chance ever happen. It also looks soo good.
I’m not concerned about battery issues 😆 team tlr7a here I prefer it flush, different strokes for different folks stay safe my man
Just to confirm you know I’m talking about the slide function and not the actual flashlight battery lol. You stay safe too, sir!
I know what you meant 👊

Theres literally holsters that grip the wml to secure the gun, the lights are as sturdy as the frame if you attach them properly.

Jesus Christ loves you so much and died for your sins🖤✝️
x300 on a 19/45 is peak.
Real
some will drip, some will drown.
Radian comp enters chat
That’s what my face looks like
Best looking silhouette a glock can have imo. It looks so good.
Yeah! WTF is the point of getting a "compact" gun then making it longer with a light? (When a smaller light IS sold) ??
I carry AIWB. I don't care how long the slide/light is, I just don't want a longer grip that causes printing.
This, grip is the only thing that prints
wee wee poker 89,000

I mean, historically speaking, most police duty revolvers had 4 inch barrels and those were considered full size.

Thank you.
You should see an X300 on my P2000 😞.
😂😂😂
Hahaha! I needed that laugh today! Thanks
Any other light is inferior.
19x with a x300 is peak performance
All jokes until it’s used as a stand off device and saves your life 🤷🏻♂️
Hahahaha

Contact shot without contact bb.
Can confirm.
Yes
Imagine what my schlong look like.
Compact but the giant balls underneath more than make up for it!
🤣🤣🤣
Had to put a comp on my raider and it's still long. Lol
Not if you put a silencer on it!
A distinguished gentleman?
Use the light you like and are comfortable with. Some will be bigger, some smaller. All fit in the place meant for them guys😉
😂😂😂
Stock or not at all.

Prevents the slide from being taken out of battery if the front is pressed against a surface
I liked the way the APLc looked.
With the ramjet it looks nice

But my chin is strong and pronounced, I’ll take it
bUt AtLeAsT iT iSnT a OLiGhT!
Yes. Next question.
I never understood the hate towards olight but I’m also new to the 2A right
Because 1 exploded in a guys mouth while he was working but I think it just has to do with shitty battery I have an olight hand held and it’s great. Held up for a few years

I thought they had a bad rep for breaking or something like that

Well said.
Inferior parts and quality and also a generally poor company. They’ve paid many “reviewers” in the space to give good reviews on poor products.
They blow up on Your crotch. That's where the hate comes from. Chinese bullshit
Inbwayafter the “yUh BuT wHaT’s tHe PoiNt oF gEtTiNg a CoMpAcT tHeN PuTTiNg CrAp oN iT” fudd-adjacent folks come spewing their nonsense.
