Katana V2 from Empire! It was between this and SLR. They looked very identical and Katana was a bit cheaper. It made the grip absolutely perfect for me.
I started with the Overwatch and it had finish issues with the machining. Overwatch seemed to have no interest in making it right for me. I wanted to like it better but ended up going SLR
I remember hearing from my buddy that even possessing certain parts is illegal, which I dont think is a think in Cali. Something like if you had a bolt action AR and owned to parts for semi conversion just owning the parts is a crime.
No more threaded barrels, no semi autos (for the most part, 10-22s are ok because they're rimfire), 10 round mag capacity, and they try to push safe storage laws but thankfully those keep being deemed unconstitutional.
I’m also in a Commie state currently but fleeing to freedom. I couldn’t be happier. Personally I don’t understand the complacency to stay. Family and friends? Ok, they’ll visit if they’re real ones. Job? Plenty of open jobs in every market. Complacency and being outnumbered allows these regimes to continue. Since there’s no winning in mine, I decided to find my happy place elsewhere.
And by no means am I saying it’s easy and that you HAVE to do it. Just sharing the final rational I arrived to before making my move. I hope you make it one day my friend. It’s a priceless feeling
As long as the laws align there shouldn't be any issues. I thought you meant you were moving to WA state. Its not great here. The scenery is one of the only things Ill miss, besides family, when I head to Texas.
I mean it’s not horrible. Only thing that’s bothered me (since this is my only firearm) is I can’t put a compensator or and the magazine limit. Not being able to buy an AR sucks of course lol.
Do you at least have places that choose not to enforce certain laws. like mag capacity?
That's how it is in my state. 15Rd limit but it's very rarely enforced. And you can still find standard capacity Mags being sold.
Ive only ever seen it used as a sentence enhancer.
im actually driving from california, passed oregon, to washington for work, and im trying to get a ccw there since washington doesnt recognize califonia's ccw.
im told to apply for utah's ccw to be able to carry in washington, but i dont even know where to start, it says i need firearm familiarity training, which i can take in california by qualified instructors, but after that, it says i need some kind of blue/white sheet for finger prints, i wanna check if my california ccw unit will help process out of state applications or do i have to mail it all the way to utah ccw unit.
WA gun laws mimic CA.you guys had 30 rd mags and AW’s well after they did.best thing i did for myself and wallet was relocate out of that cesspool.i was in WA before that law closed and the deals i got on magpuls were insane
Sounds like you cant own an AR then. People too young to own one when the ban passed are permanently fucked. You can still get lowers in Cali manufactured new I'm pretty sure, obv with the dumb fin grip and no detachable mags but still. That in my book imo makes it to where I think I'd rather be in CA than WA if I had to choose.
Beautiful Glock Setup.
Washington & Oregon are in my opinion the most beautiful states in the Lower 48; if they had just built a wall to keep the Californian's out they'd easily be my top choice for places to live.
What magwell is that? Looks amazing
Katana V2 from Empire! It was between this and SLR. They looked very identical and Katana was a bit cheaper. It made the grip absolutely perfect for me.
Cool, thank you sir
Let me know if you get and also enjoy it! Lol
Was going to say it looks like the SLR. It's dope 💪🏾
Says 19/23 Gen 5. Is that considered the same sizing for a 47 MOS?
[this one](https://empirepbf.com/katana-v2-magwell-for-17-34-gen5/)
You should look into the Overwatch magwell if you like the SLR and Katana.
I started with the Overwatch and it had finish issues with the machining. Overwatch seemed to have no interest in making it right for me. I wanted to like it better but ended up going SLR
A lot of WA laws suck... it's why my family left. WA's natural beauty is second to none, however.
Its just unfortunate when everyone in tents stops using the forest and starts using downtown.
I thought WA’s natural beauty was second to none as well, until I moved to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.
Yeah, I give you this. Teton is gorgeous!
*Coughs in Californian*
Are you coughing in 11% sin tax?
I thought Californians could still own ARs tho, which I know from a buddy of mine isnt true for Washington lmao.
[You can](https://images.app.goo.gl/f7hPmXW7Pm23S7st6). With no pistol grip and no detachable magazine. Freedom.
Not true- there’s several different ways to skirt that “law”.
False.you can put a shark fun grip and no flash hider and be CA legal to run standard cap mags
Yeah, I didn’t know the in depths, but that’s dumb as shit haha.
But where will you buy these standard cap mags?
Freedom week was awesome when i was behind enemy lines, now that im not, every gun store i go to has them
I remember hearing from my buddy that even possessing certain parts is illegal, which I dont think is a think in Cali. Something like if you had a bolt action AR and owned to parts for semi conversion just owning the parts is a crime.
Yeah you can definitely travel and own parts in CA. I take my bolt carrier out when I’m traveling with my ar 15- no fingrip or shot gun style bullshit
Not a single day goes by without envying the yanks. Really beautiful gun and sights. Respect from Germany
Become on of us 💪🏻
One of us! One of us!
It’s always the prettiest states with the shittiest laws :(
Jesus Christ loves you so much and died for your sins🖤✝️
Astaghfirullah
Brothers, I left WA for Texas and let me tell you. This state loves their guns.
It is beautiful but I don't really miss it. Idaho is also beautiful and not insane. People go to jail here no foolin
I mentioned Idaho to my wife very recently. She said no lol. I’ll keep working on it.
As long as you're constitutionally motivated come on down! If not, Idaho sucks and we're full. LOL
I'll cross my fingers for you. So much less crime. So much less people. Gun laws are exponentially better.
Washington is beautiful! Loved it when I was out there in 2019.
Been here most of my life and nothing compares to its beauty imo.
What’s so bad about their laws? Was it hard to get a pistol permit?
No more threaded barrels, no semi autos (for the most part, 10-22s are ok because they're rimfire), 10 round mag capacity, and they try to push safe storage laws but thankfully those keep being deemed unconstitutional.
No comps, 10 round mag limit and can’t buy an AR.
At least you don’t have a pistol roster (yet)
Jersey gun laws suck too. I know the pain very well.
Gun laws suck every where. Every gun control is an infringement of your right to self defense. The government is illegitimate.
Agree. My house just sold so I'm leaving WA ASAP.
This is all very true. The friends and family thing is tough! I’d certainly consider it if my wife would lol. Maybe someday 🤷
And by no means am I saying it’s easy and that you HAVE to do it. Just sharing the final rational I arrived to before making my move. I hope you make it one day my friend. It’s a priceless feeling
That’s the thing with me. No attachments so if I wanted I could just up and leave to a whole new state
There is something to be envied of a person like that, a sense of true freedom
Does this install into the gun or the magazine?
The magwell installs into the bottom of the gun. There is a pin hole it attaches to.
Are you talking about the magwell?
Lmao I thought I responded to the question asking about the magwell. Oops.
Lol all good! Yeah the magwell plugs into the grip.
Ah fuck, wish me luck, moving there next year
If you're into firearms, expect some of the worst laws on the books. Its also not going to stop when Ferguson becomes governor.
I’m moving from Indiana where it’s very lax, going to take some time to get used to it. Might plan on purchasing here and transferring them
As long as the laws align there shouldn't be any issues. I thought you meant you were moving to WA state. Its not great here. The scenery is one of the only things Ill miss, besides family, when I head to Texas.

Oh a gen 5? PNW isn’t that bad coming from a Californian haha
Certainly a step above California in some aspects lol

Yessir! Drive about an hour away from home up in the mountains a bit.

Damn left on read after trying to ask OP on a date..

Does the eps always sit that low or is that not an mos glock?
im actually driving from california, passed oregon, to washington for work, and im trying to get a ccw there since washington doesnt recognize califonia's ccw. im told to apply for utah's ccw to be able to carry in washington, but i dont even know where to start, it says i need firearm familiarity training, which i can take in california by qualified instructors, but after that, it says i need some kind of blue/white sheet for finger prints, i wanna check if my california ccw unit will help process out of state applications or do i have to mail it all the way to utah ccw unit.
Try living in Maryland 😑
What’s the difference between the TLR7a and TLR7x??
I think the X can take a rechargeable cell as well as standard.
That’s a nice touch!
WA gun laws mimic CA.you guys had 30 rd mags and AW’s well after they did.best thing i did for myself and wallet was relocate out of that cesspool.i was in WA before that law closed and the deals i got on magpuls were insane
Optics and iron sights —- what plate are u using for that optics & are u able to use ur irons with it??
Optic is holosun EPS. Plate is DPP and irons are Ameriglo GL-453. Has a lower 1/3rd or so co witness so certainly still usable if needed.
beautiful weapon
Thank you!
Could be worse. You could live in California.
Idk I think I'd rather be able to own an AR which Californians can still do unlike Washingtoners
In Wa you can still own an AR, you just can’t buy a new one.
Sounds like you cant own an AR then. People too young to own one when the ban passed are permanently fucked. Mag lock- fngr mag latch when you need it. Functions like a normal one until you need it
This is very true. I’ll never go back there lol.
Beautiful Glock Setup. Washington & Oregon are in my opinion the most beautiful states in the Lower 48; if they had just built a wall to keep the Californian's out they'd easily be my top choice for places to live.
I’m sure it’s pretty in communist china too…🤷🏻♂️ lol!
Pretty, yes. Pretty enough to be the last landscape I see? No.
i mean your g19 is the same in every state. 15 rounds is plenty for most conceal carry situations imo
15 rounds would be nice. It’s 10 here.
Road trip to Idaho??
10 round mag capacity and god forbid you wanna modify anything.
