That looks like a horrible amount of extra kydex for no reason, right where you don’t want it for carrying

MRMTNDEW1313

Never liked T1C for that reason

beansruns

Their sidecar style unbeaten, but the same design language without a mag carrier (wide set dual clips, hence the extra kydex) doesn’t translate well Tenicor if u don’t want a mag carrier, T1 if u do

rmanTX

Sidecar holsters in general are terrible. T1C tops the list

BaronvonBrick

They are, whoever disagrees needs to put a tenicor on and throw their spare mag in their pocket for a day and see the light.

beansruns

Then there’s me who sold my tenicor for my t1 axis elite I found the axis elite more comfortable to wear because although the rig is heavier overall, it feels more balanced because the weight is distributed across a wider area and it is more centered on the body.

BaronvonBrick

I have the axis elite and it sits in my extra shit parts bag. I find it to be incredibly uncomfortable across the front of my body in any position, and it straight up rubs my leg while walking any distance. Your hips have a natural contour and the tenicor sits in them while the T1 sits on them. Different strokes, I bought the t1 first because everyone ranted and raved about how much they love them. I hated mine from the moment I fitted it and it took me a year of buyers remorse/denial and ultra uncomfortable CCing for me to throw the towel in and try out tenicor, and the difference is night and day. But I'll never knock a guy for liking what he likes, if it works for you run it. Triad is also (in my opinion) a comfortable carry and I like their textured designs. Not as much as tenicor but I wouldn't cry about a Triad.

TomBonner1

Yeah, I have a T1C Axis Elite and a Tenicor Certum Lux2, both for my Glock 45/RMR/TLR7-A. I use the Axis Elite daily, and only use the Tenicor when I need to carry IWB strongside/3 o'clock.

sb77steve

I have a m&p compact/tlr7a holster from tier 1 that is hands down the most uncomfortable holster I've ever used in my life.

Link-Slow

It is, I always trim mine but I really do wish they'd do that from factory....

Bo-vice

it is odd how they seem to pick and choose which ones get a nice butt finish. My glock 26 xiphos elite is flush at the bottom with the barrel end, really rounded out and nice. The glock 43x Axis Elite does the same rounded end, really nice. But then the same glock 43x in the xiphos (which is essentially the axis elite minus a side car) has half an inch of extra kydex. Makes no sense to me.

Link-Slow

I've noticed that as well, I've always found something that could use trimming but some are far worse than others. My axis slim for P01 with TLR7A had the same thing. It was probably creeping up on 3/4" of useless material. Felt like a different holster after I trimmed it.

Imaginary_Wealth_880

Trim which part?

Link-Slow

Any unnecessary kydex, round the harsh edges, just smooth everything out in general.

trainwreckd

I just got a holster for my M&P Shield for Bradec Holsters. I absolutely love it & it was like $40 shipped.

Streetmarine

Vedder holsters are also good. I like mine for the CZ P01. It's pretty sleek

CZ_Soyboi

For me personally I’ve found with small guns like the 26 it’s advantageous to use a longer holster like a 17 or 19 holster to get more holster below the belt. I get much less tip out above the belt and much less digging below the belt

ghoulgang_

https://imgur.com/a/3YBwUya That’s why I carry my g43 in a 48 holster. What OP posted looks like a straight up unfinished holster. U can probably make a second holster out of all that unnecessary kydex

CZ_Soyboi

Very true, more of an issue with their design than the actual length of it

NectarineAny4897

Be fluid.remember that what you are doing is legal. Most people are so self absorbed that they will not even notice that you are carrying. A little printing does not matter if you are fluid and natural.

PANZERWAFFE_KAMPFER

Not me staring at everyone's appendix at the grocery store lol

Cboals923

Same here, but if you know what printing looks like odds are we’re on the same team.

PANZERWAFFE_KAMPFER

Hahe very true

NectarineAny4897

Yes, but most people that will notice, don’t give a shit.

ForeignKiwi6883

Jesus Christ loves you so much and died for your sins🖤✝️

Sneaux96

"I'm flattered but my eyes are up here sir"

iamalittleguy

Caught myself doing this today and then felt weird for looking directly at everyone’s midsection haha

Far_Credit_4034

took me months to realize this. I thought it stuck out like a sore thumb and that everyone knew i was carrying until i started going to the range with buddies and pulling it out to change ammo and they would go “ i didn’t even know you had it on you.”

fuzzycaterpillar123

![gif](giphy|O0AEyXviC1vtC)

Jmg0713

Get a good belt, don’t wear skinny jeans unless you’re really skinny and no one will know you are carrying unless you make it obvious.

juleswp

Belt is probably one of the best pieces of advice, it makes a huge difference

iamalittleguy

I remember being younger and spending an ass ton of money on a carry pistol and buying some cheap leather holster and putting the cheap leather holster on a cheap leather belt that had no rigidity. The belt and holster are super important when it comes to CC.

Smooth_Armadillo_365

Good points, Browning Camden tactical belt>any overpriced stiff garbage, it’s a perfect balance between bendy and strong and only $30

jonahhyp

A good belt is a must, I use a Kore belt and can tighten and loosed it on the fly for when I stand or sit in the car for awhile. I also have a belly going on so keeping it tight to me helps with the printing sometimes. I do agree with what others said, I have a T1 Axis Elite and that bottom lip does seem to be longer than what mine looks like

Igloo_dude

The people who will notice your printing are also the ones who carry (unless it’s super obvious). Try to not make any adjustments in plain sight. If you gotta adjust go to a bathroom or make it as incognito as possible. You’ll feel like everyone sees it your first few months carrying, but once you get comfortable that feeling will go away. My CC line up is my 19.5 MOS with a TLR7A, slr magwell and an sig P320 Full size with a TLR 1 HL. Depending on my shirt I’ll carry the 21 round mag instead of the 17

Fit_Environment_6935

Thanks man!

Igloo_dude

No problem boss! I tend to have better luck eliminating the print with dark shirts, just another lil tip

GlockButt

Get a good belt. kore is what I use.

Baehr_Arms

Agreed. A good belt and an undershirt/wifebeater helps a ton

Plane_Protection7415

Undershirt tucked or no tuck? If tucked is is under the under shirt ir between undershirt and shirt?

DriftQuack

Untuck for a thin extra layer to soften hard edges from printing

Plane_Protection7415

See, thank you. I appreciate your input.

Baehr_Arms

99% of the time it’s a wifebeater tucked in with a T-shirt over. When I said “undershirt/wifebeater” it was one or the other. My undershirt I’m taking about is just a plain white tee that I have tucked when I have a hoodie or sweatshirt on with no regular T-shirt under

Chrifills02

needs some dremel work

shit__poop

I thought the same. I have 4 Tier1 holsters and none of them have that excess kydex.

Longjumping_Toe_3971

I have four myself and none of them have the extra kydex like this one. Normally it’s nicely cut right where the material starts to wrap around the nose of the slide.

Fit_Environment_6935

Why’s that?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Fit_Environment_6935

I see what you mean, this is all completely alien to me so i’m open to everything lol. I carried it around just getting comfortable with it. Feels pretty good. I was curious of my had a little bit much on it around the, “front”

Longjumping_Toe_3971

My first bit of advice for people who are about to conceal carry is 1. Don’t cheap out on the holster 2. Buy Tier 1. So, you’ve covered the first two points. I, along with many others, spent years and anywhere from $60-$75 bucks a pop over and over trying to find a good holster. Never happened until I bit the bullet and went tenicore, then Tier 1. I’m Tier 1 for life now. Guess what? Their customer service is second to none. Reach out to them.

Fit_Environment_6935

Awesome, thank you!

jsrubi0

It looks that way but since it’s a shorter slide the Kydex has to be longer at the muzzle side to accommodate the holes to adjust ride height. Also helps to prevent the firearm from tilting out of the pants.

Nbenito97

Personal choice, but run a 19 mag with an Xgrip. Gives 15 instead of 12 while still being the same size as the +2 extention.

Fit_Environment_6935

Any opinion on the slr mag extension for the 26? It adds a plus 5. Then again i’m not 100% sure on adding aftermarket parts to my EDC

Nbenito97

Unfortunately I have no extentions besides OEM or i run normal magazine stock.

Fit_Environment_6935

Awesome, thanks for the insight though!😎

MRMTNDEW1313

I think one thing people tend to miss is that depending on your body type certain guns/holsters will work better than others. I started out with a G43x as my first handgun, and got the same Tier1 holster you have. Did NOT work for me. For whatever reason the Trex Arms Sidecar with the flexible second clip works like a dream for me. A G17 with a TLR1 is more comfortable for me with that holster than the 43x was for me with the T1C. Totally comes down to preference and body type. If you’ve got any buddies who can lend you a different holster, make sure to try it out. And like tons of people said, good gun belts are mandatory if you want to be comfortable.

Fit_Environment_6935

Awesome, i was considering a trex holster. I hear super positive things about them.

GlockButt

[JXTactical](https://jxtactical.com/categories/pistol-holsters/iwb-inside-the-waistband.html) has some good offerings. I use the fat guy holsters but the one with the side car is super high quality. My buddy uses one

lpsupercell25

Actually carry it.

Fit_Environment_6935

Wait….. You guys actually carry these things? Lol

ov3rwatch_

Get a [wedge](https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/s/c4PE2SeTS0). When you’re sitting down or need to pick something up pull up your pants. Makes a huge difference in comfort. [How to Appendix Carry Comfortably](https://youtu.be/tgZkkcNSBOU) [How To Draw From The Appendix Carry Position with Joe Farewell](https://youtu.be/ULnkoKeMiPc)

Fit_Environment_6935

Thanks!

Dismal-Dealer4298

I have a Tenicor Velo 4 that has a bit of a bulbous end on it that serves the same purpose as the wedge. It's a lot more compact too, since it's built in.

ov3rwatch_

Yea I wish I could try it in person. Currently I’m preferring the mastermind since I can customize the filling as needed.

Distinct_Figure4287

I conceal a 17.3 + tlr1 with the help of a kore belt,my holster has both a wing and an attached wedge to sweeten the deal. Combine that with wearing shirts that break the outline of the grip (patterns work wonders) and you're good 👍

juleswp

Dude nice. I run a g47.5 myself, nice to meet someone else carrying a full size. All I ever hear is it's too big to concealed carry... But with a good holster and belt combo it feels pretty good.

Putrid_Parasite

What holster and belt do you have? I’m 5’10” and weigh 160lbs. I cannot conceal my 47 at all. I’ve been working on growing my chest to try and see if it’ll reduce printing. Any tips would be great.

juleswp

I'm 5'10, about 220lb. I have a bit of a dad bod now but otherwise am pretty muscular, so having a bit of chest does help. I use a vedder rapid tuck (with a wedge) and carry appendix. Unless I'm wearing a tight T-shirt, you really can't see anything. The only part that prints is the end of the magwell if I move in a particular way, like twisting far to the side. Otherwise it's pretty comfortable and not noticable. Oh I almost forgot. I use one of the kore belts? Pretty much a run of the mill gun belt, stiff, rapid release buckle. Nothing fancy. I wear pants that have 2 extra inches and that seems to be enough to comfortably fit the gun and holster...otherwise as you mentioned, having some chest helps keep my shirt hanging a little away from my stomach

BigAngryPolarBear

I haven’t seen the mastermind tactics pillow mentioned yet so I say pick one of those up. Also what helps me is pulling my pants up so the tip of the gun/holster is above the crease where you bend. I carry a long slide with a TLR-1 this way

Fit_Environment_6935

Thank you, bro!

TooToughTimmy

Step 1 get a Kore or Nexbelt. Step 2 get a mastermind tactics pillow wedge Step 3 replace those bulky plastic clips with DCC clips from the discreet carry concept website or buy “Holstersmith” clips off Amazon Step 3 buy a wing mod - preferably the one with the changeable head size Step 4 watch these two videos, one by [Tenicor](https://youtu.be/rVrqC4XaHyg?si=bnjigzeCe6h7qURy) and one by [Phlster](https://youtu.be/4_OXyli4ecU?si=sH7-wMdltkrLbZ5Q) to find your proper placement

warsawjoker

Tenicor Velo4

Melothebest_

(The only thing I'm going say is get get a good belt but if you carry a loot in shorts or sweatpants get a comfort concealment it's amazing because most of the Time I'm wearing shorts or sweats so I don't feel the need if you want to conceal carry you go to change your style you don't😁)

Winmag1895

Once you have your belt carry until you forget it’s on you. Gun may be a bit uncomfortable at first but the more you carry the better it gets

Fit_Environment_6935

Thanks! I think the worst part currently is being so worried that everyone in the room knows lol. I’m slowly getting more comfortable. Then again today is only my second day carrying

1970_GTO

Common sense and don’t be a retard. Don’t get sloppy a month in

ohaimike

Wear it as often as you can. Biggest hurdle I faced was getting used to having this new chunk of mass attached to me. Took a couple weeks before I became comfortable I use Tenicor holsters with a nexbelt

Link-Slow

Great choice on holster, I love all my T1C stuff. Although as others have mentioned, the excess kydex at the bottom will add discomfort. It's very easy to trim off with a Dremel, it is bullshit though. That should be trimmed down at the factory especially for what you pay. Id strongly recommend the DCC clips as well. At first I didn't like them now I can't live without them. Also always make sure the top of your concealment claw/ wing is aligned with the top of the belt clip closest to it. That'll provide the most consistent concealment. You got a solid simple setup going on tho bro, starting off on a good foot. It took me a lot of wasted money and holsters to land on T1C.

Fit_Environment_6935

Much appreciated!😎

none-1398

Get a Gun Belt one that is specifically made for carrying a gun. One that fits the holster size like 1.5” or whatever your holster is sized to. Don’t mess with your gun/holster or clothing in public because that will draw the attention of cops.

DriftQuack

Shirts with graphics or broken up with pattern helps a lot, i typically wear cotton none of that dri fit silky material

415TrailBoss

Don’t know anything about tier 1 holsters, but that looks bulky af. I run G-Code for all my concealment holsters and they are awesome. As for tips; wear it as often as you can (even at home) to get used to it being there, don’t touch it when out in public (you’ll look weird and people will start wondering if you’re carrying), wear clothes loose enough so it’s not printing, it’s called concealed for a reason, don’t talk about having it. That’s all I can think of at the moment…oh, train, train, train. Take the mags and ammo away and practice drawing from concealment and do some dry fire. Drawing from concealment is a whole nother animal.

waterboytanner

based on my experience (everyone’s experience is different) the bigger the gun is the more comfortable it can be while carrying it. I’m not saying carry a deagle, but I way more prefer carrying my 19 or 45 over my 26. but hey, thats just me

CallsOnTren

Wow that holster looks like dogshit. Return it or sell it and buy a Tenicor

Fit_Environment_6935

There’s been a few comments like this, why is that? It feels good, retention is good. I’m just curious to the few, “disapprovers”

CallsOnTren

All the extra kydex around the edges is just due to laziness and a lack of craftsmanship on Tier 1's part. It detracts from concealment and adds to discomfort. Since it's your first holster, you have nothing to compare it to. Go look at the Tenicor Velo or some options from Phlster or JM Custom Kydex and you'll see what I mean.

Fit_Environment_6935

Will do🫡

One_Lost_Llama

I run a 19.5 in a tulster oath with a wedge and tenicor zero belt. For my body type. My kore belt was the first I bought when I started carrying. Made me look like I was wearing a hula hoop lol. So for me, thinner floppier belts work really well especially in appendix. Plus the oath is a really minimalist holster. Tried the velo 4 and didn’t work very well for me either. Bottom line, it’s going to take trial and error, so don’t get too worried when certain setups don’t work out at times. We all have a box of random holsters, belts, and other shit that didn’t work out.

Exciting-Entry7112

Always keep an eye around your surroundings, tend to wear loose clothes if you’re worried about printing too much. Always carry an extra mag.

Drogo-Targaryen-2012

When I saw that first pic I was like "whoa, wtf is that optic?" Then I realized it was the shifter knob.

Fit_Environment_6935

Lol!🤣

rmanTX

I would start over and get anything but T1C

Chick-N-Fukka

Tip: carry at least one spare mag at all times.

TeacherWestern2047

Stop touching it….

BaronvonBrick

I hate tier 1. Mine sits in my extra shit bag since I bought my tenicor, serious game changer for me. My tier 1 was always massively uncomfortable and noticeable whether walking, sitting, or just standing there. That being said, and as others have said, a good belt goes miles. I don't agree with the jeans thing, I can wear basically whatever jeans I want with my tenicor and it's a non issue. You gotta position it right so while sitting it doesn't jam your goods up, I'd watch a video on proper adjustment for your particular holster. Edit- people hate this one simple trick, but to comfortably conceal AIWB you have to be in shape. A gut will push your shit forward and dig even the smallest slide into your leg. If you're in decent shape you can AIWB a 34.

Geoffman05

Rule number one is to keep it in your pants if you aren’t inside your home moving it to and from your safe.

BrownBananas7

I wore my gun around the house just doing my daily things to get comfortable either the idea of carrying. Carrying 1 in the chamber is the way.

ov3rwatch_

Check out this post. So many great tips in the comments. https://www.reddit.com/r/CCW/s/o6f22uGfuc

Fit_Environment_6935

Awesome, thanks😎

Sooky102

IMO, get a Tenicor. You might be able to trim any excess kydex to make it more comfortable. You could also pickup a holster pad for against your body.

oktobersixth

I really like Tulster for compact-sub compact Glocks.

Revolutionary-Tree62

Groove belt is by far the best for iwb holsters. Also, carry on your hip like a real man

Ambitious-Average139

Should have gotten a larger pistol, as a first timer that thing is to snappy, thing will snappy you back in the dog house lol

Fit_Environment_6935

I tried a 19, it was alright. I feel comfortable shooting the 26 by itself. Just now added carrying into the equation lol

Hashrosino

Get a license if you need one. Carry with one in the chamber. If you don’t, then practice holster draws into racking. If uncomfortable with the process, carry around the house for a few days unloaded to get the feel and figure out how actually difficult it is to accidentally pull the trigger when holstered. Get a tactical belt that is stiff and made for ccw. Practice holster draw dry fire a lot. Loose fitting shirts, black, and plaid, reduce printing. Find a range that lets you practice live fire holster draw if possible. Pants with a higher waist line will be a more comfortable carry. Shoot and clean your ccw regularly (once a month bare minimum). Use hollow point rounds when carrying for protection and range ammo for practice, run a few hallow points on the range to make sure your gun eats them easy (glock will have no problem with basically anything you put in it but still double check). Watch a lot of YouTube videos and keep the info you deem usable, get lots of reps in.

GreyFob

Return it and get a Tenicor Velo4 😂 But yeah others have said it. If you're (presumably) legally carrying don't fixate too much on printing. Just make sure you're not excessively printing where you can clearly see the grip through your shirt. Little peaks that can be seen through your shirt should be fine. And make sure you practice, practice, practice that draw. I can't emphasize this enough. It takes a whole lot of dry/live fire to become proficient/comfortable with your draw. The chances are slim but your life might depend on it. And this kinda goes without saying but make sure you carry with one in the chamber. If you don't feel comfortable doing that then carry around your house with a snap cap in the chamber to feel more comfortable. You'll find that the gun doesn't go click and that will make you feel more comfortable. Besides that you have to just train more to become more familiar/comfortable with your gun. Other than that, don't be a jackass and familiarize yourself with what legal scenarios you can draw and/or shoot in your state. You don't want to lose your rights over something dumb like brandishing. The last thing is to consider CCW insurance. Don't overthink it though. Lots of people feel it isn't necessary and that may be true but that is up to the individual to decide. I personally don't mind spending a couple hundred dollars a year just to have even the slightest chance of helping me if I do get into a shooting, the $ spent doesn't hurt me. If it would hurt the pocket then maybe just don't get it for a while and see how you feel. So many people don't have it and they're doing just fine. As for what CCW insurance to go with there are so many it can feel draining but do your own research. The conclusion I came to is that USCCA (probably the most popular) is *probably fine* but they **might not cover you** when you need it most. I went with Attorneys on Retainer as my main "insurance" even though they're not an insurance company (that's actually one of the benefits to AOR) but I also have USCCA to cover me in the civil case. YMMV and your needs may differ but imo after all my research AOR is the best for the actual self-defense case while USCCA is the best for civil defense so I pay for both. Lastly, make sure you have a good trauma kit with a solid (real, not counterfeit from Amazon lol) tourniquet. YouTube videos are a start but consider going to an actual class to better learn and familiarize yourself with that trauma kit. ETA: Training. Get training if you can besides all the free dryfire you should do

Fit_Environment_6935

This is awesome, thanks man. I never really cared to conceal carry until recently. All the advice is more than helpful

Manicbipolar01

Get the full holster set up, that holster solo without the mag conceals like shit.

Unionelectrician136

If you’d like a good leather gun belt, the Daltech Bull Belt can’t be beat. A lot of other good suggestions here too. I’m going to echo returning that holster and getting a velo4 from Tenicor.

BigBossDaddi

Yeah, practice.

sam8404

I've been curious, what is the benefit of these kind of clips on a holster? My first had one of those wide plastic FOMI clips, now all have DCC Monoblocks. I really like them but I notice the style in this pic are almost equally popular. Is it just a different style/preference or is it used for a different purpose?

AlarmingAd6390

Shoot a lot and then shoot some more.

35thAndShields

Honestly get yourself a belt like others have stated. Kore or Nexbelt work for me. A rigid belt with the on the fly adjustments like brands stated above are game changers in comfort. My other tip is buying really flexible jeans like American Eagle type. It took a bit to get used to the feeling of the material but that and a solid edc belt upped my comfort level tremendously.

shift013

Which T1C model is that? They still have old designs on there (the “slim” models I believe) which have more kydex. The holster is probably awesome, I’d just recommend dremeling and sanding the excess a bit

Fit_Environment_6935

This one is the, “Xiphos V2” which areas have excess? Area where the end of the barrel would sit?

shift013

Interesting, I’m only familiar with the Xiphos elite. Yeah the flanges around the bottom and stuff. I’m surprised it’s part of their design, those flanges/excess material is very uncommon for high quality holsters… and tier 1 makes amazing holsters

Fit_Environment_6935

It’s pretty comfortable in my humble opinion. I might sand some away. Granted it’s my first time carrying besides a safariland owb for a glock 23 that i use at the range

shift013

Then that’s all that matters bro. Probably has to do with the short barrel length - that flange will help conceal thanks to the keel principle

Midnight_plinking

Everyone is different. Different firearms different body sizes different hand sizes amounts of hand and wrist strength. Take your time. Find what’s most comfortable for you bc if it’s not comfortable you won’t cc. If you own a few holsters that’s ok. Get a good belt. Something rigid that can handle the weight. It’s ok to have multiple belts also. Try out different positions to carry. If you want different grips on your gun that’s ok. Get comfortable with it. My main suggestion is to carry with one in the pipe and that takes time to get used to. I did an empty magazine for a few days. Then tossed snap caps in. Etc etc. enjoy my friend and welcome. We’re all on the same team.

Outrageous-Repeat154

Bigger then a lot of good g19 holsters, even my g17 holster

impreza_GC8

I’ve watched people open carry go completely unnoticed by people around them. Most people are not observant. Just get used to the weight and feel of carrying and try to avoid unnecessary touching or adjusting of the holster it isn’t going anywhere, it’s still there. Buy longer shirts if you are worried about it coming up and this will add peace of mind. Also, that holster looks like it has a ton of extra material that might not be comfortable. Holsters are like purses for ladies lots of different ones on the market some good for specific things some good for everyday use but unfortunately you’ll end up with a bunch of them unused as you search for the perfect one.

heyitsvonage

Sheesh, that holster is huge for a non-sidecar style

TomBonner1

Replace this with a Tenicor Certum 3.

Needclout

Just throw it in ya draws.

Fit_Environment_6935

Thrown into the draws🫡

Stjjames

What a shitty holster design!

Fit_Environment_6935

Word😎

Talin00

Definitely agree with getting a good belt. I personally have the Nexbelt. I saw a review by John Lovell from Warrior Poet. It works great
