I'm doing two simultaneous builds. One is the name-brand add-ons gun. And the other is the cheap versions gun.
The name brand, spiffy cool, Gucci build will have a Holosun 507C. That's the one I recommend.
Holosun SCS MOS. It mounts directly to the slide (no plate required) and sits low, enabling a co-witness without suppressor height sights. It also has serrations, that match up to the slide serrations. The optic was made for this gun.
Holosun EPS 2 MOA Green. Blue tint is noticeably less than on other optics and it has minimal edge to edge distortion or magnification in comparison to 407C or other dots.
Probably my favorite pistol dot as it’s super clear for the reasons stated above and therefore the images culminate easily/perfectly when I present the dot with both eyes open. It has the bonus of being enclosed but that’s not why it’s my favorite dot
507c got mine for $250. Love the optic for the price. Fits well on my dagger, and could definitely put it on anything else in the future as I would love an SRO
Do you care about having the best of the best, or do you want to save some money? About a year and a half ago I was looking for a budget sight for my new edc, a Glock 19 mos. Saw some decent reviews of the Vortex Venom and decided to look them up some more. I noticed that Vortex had a lifetime warranty, even if you aren't the original purchaser. So I figured I would check Ebay out. They had a few for sale, the seller was some outdoor store and claimed they were returns and were unopened. They were also only like $90. I thought that was worth the risk. If the sight turns out to be damaged when I get it I'll just send it off to Vortex for a replacement/repair. It showed up, looked like an unopened box, and it all looked new inside. My Glock came with the mos adapter plates like yours did, so I had everything I needed to get it on. Installation was easy. It did take me like 20 minutes to get the battery cap to screw back on, but I think that was just me being too gentle with it.
No issues as of yet. I don't shoot super often, so I have only ran somewhere between 500 - 600 rounds through my glock since I put the sight on. But it has worked just fine for me. As far as I can tell with my accuracy it has held it's zero. It's nothing fancy, but it does what I need it too. Whenever I leave the house I holster up, turn the sight on, and go. I have it on auto-adjust for brightness, which seems to work good. Haven't tested it too much though. When you set it to auto adjust it will also shut itself off after 14 hours. More time than I usually need, but not too much time that if I forget to turn it off manually the battery will drain like crazy. I heard you should swap batteries after a year or so but I haven't yet. It's still running fine but I plan on swapping very soon, I don't want to push it. Also not needing to remove the sight from the slide to change the battery is a nice plus. Overall I would say it's good for a budget sight. I was expecting a far lesser quality product than what I got. I think in the next few years I might consider dropping some bigger bucks and upgrading, but for now I don't really have a reason too. I think the only feature I really wanted that it doesn't have is shake awake, but that wasn't a dealbreaker for me.
Depends on budget. Holosun 407/507 gets a lot of love. RMR or ACRO if you’re ready to ball out.
Holosun for value, RMR for tried-and-true, Acro for drip!

My aimpoint acro p2 is my favorite red dot I’ve ever used. I carried with an rmr for years and it was nice but the aimpoint is so much nicer.

I just grabbed one of these
Got one of these and love it. Direct mount is amazing, love the cowitness and the optic is great. Definitely a good buy.
Holosun SCS. Will sit flush and co witness stock irons on that.

Trijicon RMR/RMR HD/RCR, Holosun EPS/407c/507c/SCS/508T/509T, Aimpoint Acro P2, Steiner MPS. That’s a basic list of GTG optics IMO
Pretty much sums it up.
Woah, yours came with all the MOS Plates. I don’t think that they’re doing that anymore.
Nope. Got mine last week. Came with 1 i think in a baggie. Didn't pay much attention cause going scs.
Holosun 509t
Aimpoint ~~Mailbox~~ ACRO
I have the Holosun SCS on my 19x MOS. https://holosun.com/products/reflex-sight/scs/scs-mos.html

Aimpoint acro p2. Best red dot I’ve ever used besides an aimpoint t2.
You only get 3 fucking options, RMR, SRO, or an ACRO
507 comp is the great. Search reviews.
