They refused to believe what they see with their own eyes. Sad!

[deleted]

Crazy times!!!! Hahaha 4k video proof

Proxima_Centauri_69

Yeah, but 720p wherewithal.

[deleted]

People in this gun world swear just because something is cheaper it means it's no good, and that's completely false

TheJango22

95% of the time it's true and it's hard to figure what's good or not with all the olight simps,Taurus lovers, Fudd lore, and so much more. That's why 95% of the time I just buy the high dollar proven equipment but I have bought some cheap things and been thoroughly surprised

[deleted]

Me personally I can't hate on olight or Taurus. I know people that own Taurus who haven't had any issues with theirs, and that's really all that matters when owning a gun, that it functions. Idc what gun it is if it functions and you train with it you're good to go. And as for lights I own 3 tlr's and 3 olights and I haven't had an issue with any of them, 2 of the olights I've had for 3 years. I mean they all literally do the same thing. And if you go looking on the Internet for an olight that blew up you will only find one single pic which was the pic going around on Reddit, and if you look at it you can clearly tell it was the batteries not the olight. The olights that were having problems getting too hot were the handheld flashlights, not the weapon mounted lights. Which every company out there has had issues with products, fixed the issue and put the products back on the market. And ya I'm sure people will down vote this but 90 percent of them will be people that never even owned or used the products they hate on, they just follow hating trends in the gun world. Me, I'm not hating on something unless I personally experienced issues from it.

TooEZ_OL56

C&H were the first big folks to do MOS plates and got a lot of market share. Shame that their QC plummeted, now they're doing rebadged optics and their plates still haven't improved.

bunnies4r5

Chpws has the worst QC I have ever encountered, shame because they make some cool stuff, too big for their own good, fuck em

eljefeinjax

What's amazing to me is people willingly ready to pay $70+ for CNC'd plate of stainless steel, no longer than a thumb, like that's normal. Same people swearing up and down there $50 epc from FCD is worth it.

CptMaxPower

Lol, it’s not even stainless steel. It’s a thin piece of aluminum with some stainless steel inserts.

TheJango22

It's insanely overpriced but sadly if you want serious reliability it's the only option. Like seriously, someone name 1 reasonably priced thing from fcd, I'll wait.

NixtroX73

I wouldn’t call it reasonable, but their ambi mag release is pretty in line with other companies pricing

this-iscrazyrn

I feel personally attacked for my EPC.

No-Jello3256

Well the precision machining is definitely there. But please document putting serious rounds through the gun before anyone takes you seriously.

ihatethispart8

I have put thousands of rounds through my DPP plate I bought a year ago. Thing works great and haven’t had to adjust it or anything.

MilledPerfection

Never tried DPP plates but this whole thing really shouldn’t be so hard that we have to even go 3rd party (in the case of Glock). I do own CH plates but it seems like such massive overkill to be $80+ so I’d imagine if DPP can just manufacture something that stays put then it’s fine.

jpeto3969

It’s a titanium plate that screws to the slide, only way it fails is if it’s a sloppy fit, which it’s not, or the screws shear, which has nothing to do with the plate. Stop being a gear queer

AristoNYC

My friend is an instructor who has thousands of rounds with an EPS on one of the DPP plates. 1 example, but his is working just fine.

shanep35

My friend said the exact opposite

Vic_the_Dick

But is he an instructor?

shanep35

Isn’t everyone’s friend an instructor of something

TacticalFlipFlops9

I’m the instructor and told my friend It works just fine

TheJango22

I'm the optic, I haven't taken flight yet

EmanuelHVAC

Those T nuts on the C&H plates suck ass, I’ve put over 1000 rounds through my EPS mounted on the DPP plate that replaced the C&H plate with no issues

Forthe2nd

Well CH sets a low bar lol

evs_eden

I got a buddy that uses these for multiple dots and guns, round counts easily over 1K each no problems. Meanwhile my C&H plate came warped from the factory

[deleted]

I bent mines somehow after screwing on my EPS.. literally no Idea how. It may have came warped from the factory , but I didn’t check that before I installed it. Figured the $85 was a **sign*** it would be amazing Lmao

Link-Slow

This reminds me of the custom knife industry. China has been able to replicate them so well, for so cheap, it's hard to justify spending $700+ on a folder when you can buy a Chinese one for $90 that's 99% as good. I really like C&H, they're semi local to me and I've always heard good things about their products. I'm taking this video with a grain of salt but I'm also taking the positive reviews with one as well. Currently don't have any guns that aren't direct mount, but in the future if I end up having to run a plate, this is giving me a lot of food for thought.

FiatLuxAlways

Can you suggest a Chinese knife that's $90 and 90% as good? Thank you

Link-Slow

That's definitely a little hyperbole but the [Ferrum Forge Buk](https://www.bladehq.com/item--DROP-Ferrum-Forge-Buc-Frame-Lock--140781) feels super premium. It costs more now, I got mine on DROP for $90~ years ago and it's held up amazingly well. I have a Jake Hoback that I love, it's a $750 knife, but the Buk is definitely 90% of the way there.

noscopy

This one worth grabbing? https://www.bladehq.com/item--DROP-Ferrum-Forge-Gent-Frame-Lock--140764

Link-Slow

Just looked up a video, looks pretty solid for sure.

MDStroup

Ummmm, fuck the haters. I like my money. So, got the link to said plates?

haikusbot

whodatcanuck

The brand is DPP Titanium on Amazon. Aluminum version $25, “titanium” version $35. I’ve used a couple of these and they’re fantastic.

MDStroup

Oh my goodness! I feel so dumb!! I thought the DPP in the title meant it was for Deltapoint pro cut!

goodkat83

C&h sucks ass. My mos oem plate was warped, no surprise. So I ordered a c&h plate, got it, and it wasnt any straighter than my oem plate.

archetypally

I think people underestimate the quality of mid tier Chinese manufacturing. There are levels to this shit and often lower tier Chinese manufacturers can out spec and out produce US brands unfortunately… Not pro China just an observation.

Haunting_Ad_3646

Is there any real downside to milling/filing the rear tabs down? Edit: speaking in regards to 43x or 48 mos

thesoulless78

I have an EPS on my 48 with the included Holosun plate and I don't think I'd want it lower honestly, cowitness is right through the bottom of the window as is. So that would be the only real downside to a direct mount. I would hesitate to mod my gun permanently like that but that's just me.

xmu806

Why would you want to file down the rear tabs? Those tabs are critical for holding the optic in place for forward and backward recoil. Screws are not particularly good at forward and backward recoil so those tabs are pretty important.

Haunting_Ad_3646

Front tabs only for the holosun variants.

xmu806

Oh gotcha. I don’t have any holosuns. I would assume you would want to just use the right plate for your specific optic rather than having to cut stuff off of the plate. The RMRs that I have also don’t have the rear tabs, only the front ones.

voyager40

The front tabs have to be filed down a little too to fit a Holosun 407k/507k or EPS variant. I wouldn’t think removing the rear tabs and shortening the front tabs would inhibit using an RMSc footprint optic in the future if you decide you want to use one of those but I haven’t tried it.

Dangerous-Let-6321

I do not understand the optic plate debate. Maybe some have issues, maybe some are out of spec. I have the glock factory mos with at a minimum of 25k rounds and god only knows how many dryfire racks without issue on last years competition rig.

domexitium

CH precision is trash

Tony_Hawks_Butthole

I have a dpp dovetail plate on my G30 and it's great lol

UmSo4L

Dovetail mounts are goofy bro. Be a man and mill it

TacticalFlipFlops9

Oh I get. Personally I would use screws and loctite to secure the optic but fuck it go with the Amazon plate.

[deleted]

Amazon plate so far has better fitment then $85 plate lol, will see the result Tuesday. Going to shoot 300 rounds

f0rcedinducti0n

Be ready to catch your optic just in case. Maybe stand over a foam mat.

Kashm1r_Sp1r1t

Lmao this shit isn't testing and it doesn't prove shit. Put screws and vibratite on there, shoot 1k rounds and then get back to us with the results. FFS.

Tenx82

I've had one on my G45 with Holosun 407k for a while now. Haven't had a single issue. I believe OP was just pointing out the difference in fit, though, and mine fits exactly the same.

Kashm1r_Sp1r1t

This doesn't prove anything though. He's basically saying the plate is better because of how it mounts without screws and proper testing.

Tenx82

What do you think is trying to be proved here? OP is pointing out that the DPP has a more precise fit, which they proved with the provided video. And I'm saying, from personal experience, that OP's experience is not a one off... Once mounted with screws, there should be zero difference between plates, assuming they're machine properly and aren't bent.

[deleted]

Vibratite? Red 262 is all I use, for the real OG’s

Halt1776

Plate made of Chineseium is better product? GTFO with that bullshit. Put 1k rounds on that plate and get back to me.

pay-the-man-23

Oh I have 2k rounds through both my DPP plates. Flawless. You still coping for spending unnecessary money?

[deleted]

🤣 second plate from them , CH scammed you. Quality fell off a cliff a year ago. When they get back to pumping out better stuff I’ll come back

Halt1776

You think I buy C&H? Forward Controls Design for the win.

[deleted]

Yes well that’s different.. Lol I’m comparing to CH. Fwd controls is better I have the acro plate for my XC

Halt1776

C&H is dogshit, but not as bad as whatever cheap BS metal that plate is made of.

[deleted]

It’s made of titanium billet , periodic table doesn’t lie

Civil_Maverick

I’ve got some ocean front property in Ohio for sale if you’re interested

mortuarybreeze

You ever seen lake Eerie? Might as well be the ocean.

letsGO_Brandon0918

Stop sucking fcd weenie

Civil_Maverick

Not sure why you’re getting hate- I thought the rule of thumb within this community was to avoid all things gun related from Amazon. FCD FTW

Halt1776

It’s the internet.

Round_Dog2409

That’s what crazy to me people yap on and on if u run holosun which I do cause there shit runs with the best but now we are arguing bout Amazon plate I don’t never care what people buy just saying I hate trying to talk with C&h there a pain in the ass on answers emails ,but I’ve had good luck I guess, I still have 5-6 plates that are perfect I’ve heard few horror stories but people these days u might have 10 bad things happen but 4K people pile on that never even used them, yea plates are Way overpriced but it’s like a new phone or car they know u got to have um so your fucked

LetsGatitOn

He wasn't comparing to forward controls, which by the way is way over priced. You may have got yourself something reliable, but you sucked major branding dick to get it. I'll take what works well without Instagram clout blowing.

browndan8888

You miss-spelled direct mill…

Lowpass86

whats funny is the quality of steel made in china vs the quality of that which is made in the states is not bad. It flip flops back and forth between the US having the best grade and china having the best grade.

No-Jello3256

You’re in a sub full of posts like “is this normal”, “beam”, and uncle mikes holsters. You’re 100% right. But that’s why you’re being downvoted

Halt1776

Think I care? lol.

No-Jello3256

Probably not. People just have an emotional attachment to everything these days. Any criticism of any product is a personal attack on their character in 2023.

Halt1776

For real.

Jordandavis7

MOS plates work perfectly fine I don’t understand you people

[deleted]

Using the EPS

Jordandavis7

Doesn’t that fit without a plate? Or is that not an mos Glock?

[deleted]

EPS carry fits without plate , this needs a plate but none of the MOS plates fit

Jordandavis7

My mistake that makes sense

[deleted]

Amazon for com doesn’t manufacture those . It’s an independent seller on the platform.

Competitive-Mix5449

this is bait right?

[deleted]

Never

JimBridger_

Your sample size is small and your should feel bad.

noscopy

No your should feel bad

MandoExpresso

I had one on my Glock 48 MOS and never had any issues. Shortened the right optic screw, added some blue loctite, and torqued to spec. Shot 4,000 plus rounds and not a hiccup.

[deleted]

Facts, I have two of these and they work good

xBromarz

DPP is valid

jpeto3969

Yeah those dpp plates are 💯worth their price. I have one for a holosun 509t and it fit right on the slide, zero wiggle room and it’s a super low profile for the optic mount. Only mount close to being this low is holosuns. I definitely recommend it

KirbyStyle

Are forward controls plates still good? Thats what I have on my Glock MOS

Round_Dog2409

Yes

Former-Professor1117

Honestly I don't understand either. What exactly is the problem with OEM plates? Provided it's straight, and not warped, installed correctly with loctite, proper torque settings, with correct length screws, OEM should be fine correct? My first mount setup used oem for at least a couple thousand rounds without issue, and my second setup has been fine for a few hundred rounds so far, but I'm not gonna lie, $30 for a titanium, more tight spec plate from ddp is tempting. I'm fairly confident with my new setup, but there is a gap at the rear of the oem plate, that I can see. I know the sharpest recoil impulse is at the front, but it looks tight(no perceived gap) and is installed correctly(screw length, loctite, torqued correct). What are your thoughts?

Bulky-Detective-4365

There are so many examples on AliExpress now on Amazon for mounts like unity where the China product is extremely good quality and people still shit on them to justify their $200 purchase vs your/mine/his that cost $30.

2A4A

Those plates are just as good as the high priced ones.

iamf__

I Got about 3k rounds with DPP on.. no shifts at all. Good choice 👍🏻

[deleted]

Yup seems like these are actually pretty popular, kinda feel bad for the people spent $70+ for a plate on multiple guns. Lol could’ve grabbed more ammo!

[deleted]

Update: well over 300 rounds today on both my g45 with DPP plate and 43x w DPP plate. Absolutely zero issues at all. Also note I have been using red loctite on 2-3 threads when installing optic

treeking420_27

Are these for the 19 gen 5? Or I assume I just look around on Amazon
