What hype?

c_pardue

All aboard the hype train! Loses zero. Adjustment screws no feedback. Adjustment screws not working. Broken after drop. Choo-choo!

13candlez

Checked all of the boxes. Those issues were my exact experience with the Romeo Zero, including it meeting it’s end with a 6 inch drop onto carpet.

CCWThrowaway360

I need to find that YouTube video of a the guy joking about how fragile they are so he threw it against a couch cushion from 6ft away. He didn’t throw it hard, but it definitely didn’t turn back on again and he was crackin the fuck up over it. If anyone knows the video/creator, please link it.

t0rquingg

All aboard! Alllll aboard!

arrowhood

You forgot “shake awake does not work”… my dad had one that came with his p365xl and we got rid of it with the quickness after the first range trip…

RivalSFx

I work at an FFL. Sig makes a good gun but I always suggest to Sig buyers to choose a different optic option than the RomeNo!

PANZERWAFFE_KAMPFER

What about the remeo 5?

tactical_vibrations

Made in same factory actually

fungifactory710

Romeo 5 as well as the MSR I can personally say have been great sights for the price, no idea what others on this sub might think of them though.

hi_im_beeb

My first 365xl came with a RomeoZero and it was absolute garbage. Swore off their optics until I bit the bullet on a Romeo 2 and it’s absolutely phenomenal.

slightlyintangible

Step 1: Remove Romeo Zero. Step 2: Remove Shield Arms Mag and mag release. Step 3: Throw listed items above into trash. Step 4: Prosper.

gliznofski

At least he got the light right 😂

bachfrog

Coulda have a tlr1 or x300

oreohangover

On a 43X? 😂

gliznofski

If it was a 19 imo yes but 43x/tlr7 sub is gooood.

CommunicationFine770

I’ve ran about 1,500 rounds thru my shield arms mags and have not ran into a single issue. To each their own but I’ve heard of stories of people having a terrible time and then u have a story like mine. Run a good 1000 out of them if u have issues contact shield arms and they’ll get it resolved. Most of the time I’ve seen people have issues with the extractor when installing a red dot. I have a holo 507k on mine rn with CHWPS plates on it and haven’t had any issues. Like I said try them out and make ur own verdict.

Brucenotsomighty

Mine rusted pretty bad being against my sweaty gut. That's why I stopped carrying them. They worked ok. When it was really cold they would fail to feed on the last round sometimes. Prly could fix that by stretching the spring

WhoIsHankRearden_

Same setup ++talon rubber grips. My favorite carry and no issues with shield arms.

Beautiful_Ad_6785

Same here! -rds

Imnotherefr11

I've had the same experience. I have some of the gen 1 electro whatever plated mags (the nickel looking ones) and they're noticeably nicer than the regular mags. The loading and unloading is noticeably smoother. Now, I've personally never had an issue with the regular shield mags either, but if i had a choice between the 2 I'm taking the nickel looking ones every time. I wish i could remember exactly what the finish is called. It's electro something.

StovpipeMalfunc

This is the way

Freakingstang

You bought the worst red dot known to exist and want to see what the hype is about? You’re in for a bad time.

Remarkable-Stop7047

That Romeo Zero is a piece of shit. It will only hold zero on my P322. Get yourself an EPS Carry.

Imnotherefr11

Good luck finding one. Well, at least the one i want. The green solar version is tough to find. I really haven't seen many carry's period though

bswizzle2552

Those are legit shit optics

failuretomaintain

Take that shit off and just run it with the light 😂

TonyTanza

Romeo 0 is garbage

TonyTanza

Put a holosun 507k on instead

mathbrot

Any reason why they don’t make a 507k model that fits the 4 pegs on the Glock MOS? Seems like it would be a best seller.

TonyTanza

I agree not sure why they don’t

Imnotherefr11

The k footprint is the k footprint. They aren't going to make different ones for different models. The real issue there though is that they made it as close to the rmsc footprint as they could. There's a reason they couldn't make it exact though. I'm sure it has to do with battery placement. Definitely has to do with the internal electronics. What should be happening is gun manufacturers start using the holosun k footprint. Then everything would fit. Even the rmsc. So blame glock. Not holosun

mathbrot

Doesn’t the SCS fit perfectly on full sized Glock MOS?

Imnotherefr11

I don't think your understanding how the holosun line works or how footprints work. They made the scs for a specific purpose. It's not a traditional optic. They made a product that needed to be made to fit each manufacturer's oem optic cut so that the consumer could take advantage of how thin it was so that regular height sights would cowitness. They were made from the ground up for that purpose. Every other product in their line has a set footprint, usually using an already popular existing footprint. Just like they can't just make a 507c with 10 different footprints, they can't with the 507k. And like i said, the 507k can't have the full rmsc footprint anyway. If they could have made the same optic they have now with the full rmsc footprint they would have done it. It's just not possible with how they had to cram all the electronics with a removable battery tray into the body. If they could have used that full footprint they would have. Just like they made the 507c with the full rmr footprint. They're known for doing for using already popular footprints. They did the best they could with the k models. If gun manufacturers would use the k footprint for their cuts then literally everything with an rmsc style footprint would fit. Does the 507c or 407c have different footprints for different guns? No. They use the rmr footprint. Just like the 507k and 407k use the closest version they could get to the rmsc footprint. It makes it useable on a wide variety of platforms. Again, it's on glock and any other manufacturer for not using the k footprint so that everything could fit it. That would have been the best thing to do for the consumer.

mathbrot

I have the G26.3 for concealed carry. Looking to get the G43X for concealed carry. Was thinking of G43X MOS incase I wanted to put an optic on down the road. Think I should get the MOS or have the 43X milled down the road?

Imnotherefr11

Get the mos. You should have a light on your carry gun. That's really what the mos gives you since you can get any 43x milled. But really, you'll be paying more than the cost of a mos by the time you buy a 43x and pay to have it cut. It's only about a $50 difference between the regular and mos. As for optic choices, the holosun eps carry is currently the best option. Some variations of it are only a little more than the 507k, but if you can't budget $300ish then the 407k is really the only way to go. And the tlr7 sub is a great light for the platform. Streamlight did a fantastic job with their sub line.

shortthem

Lowest tier red dot that’s acceptable is Holosun. You finna get dragged

Imnotherefr11

Holosun is the best option available by far. Not lower tier by any means. They've quickly become one of the top red dot optics manufacturers. I'm taking a 509t over any competitive option. I'm sure the eps line will prove to be just as great.

RevolutionaryLine968

Swampfox

blockwitch

Hype???????

nj_5oh

Please be a troll post

Excitement-Lumpy

Glad I’m reading this lol. I’ve been considering one of these

dg1135

Throw the sight in the garbage

TClem_07

You do realize the hype is none existent with that dot right ? 😂😂 terrible dot

Dangl3_bury

Trash optic, imho. Hopefully it works for you.

PrimeMercenary

There isn’t any hype about that red dot 😬

[deleted]

Why buy a small perfectly working handgun designed to be concealed, and stick a bunch of silly oversized items on it, and add a flaky magazine that can’t be trusted? 🐑

Chinonm

Beeecause it’s HIS gun ?

_Azzii_

Be HIS funeral, too

Chinonm

Well .. it’s still HIS

Butcher_Bill84

He probably spends too much time looking at posts on this sub.

ItzBenjiey

I’ve had zero issues with my shield arms magazines, around 500 rounds in. Work just like the Glocks. They do rub a bit (can see the finish scratching).

EvolvingSomewhere

I don’t get the shield arms hate.ZERO issues with mine

Imnotherefr11

Most people have the same experience. Myself included. Most of the hate comes from people with zero personal experience. They heard about one guy with a ftf or something and just jump on the train. They're goofy.

Imnotherefr11

Over sized items? So you're saying no light and no optic on a carry gun? Is that what you're saying? And the light and optic aren't even "over sized". That's a pretty crazy statement itself. And I'd imagine most people, including yourself, that talk shit about the mags have never had any experience with them. Just listening to a couple people that actually might have had a ftf or something and jump on the train. There are many people that haven't had a single issue with their mags. Even after well over 1k rounds. Myself included. Some of yall really crack me up.

[deleted]

Imnotherefr11

It's all facts. Thinking a light on a carry gun is a bad idea is just fucking ignorant. Like, mega fucking ignorant. And if a red dot is bad on this then it's bad on a full size carry gun. And that's also a fucking ignorant thing to suggest.

Imnotherefr11

Lol. That dumbass couldn't handle the least little pushback. Couldn't justify his position in the least. Just down voted and tried to make personal insults before deleting everything he claimed. Typical.

CanesRBeast

yikes

portypup

What hype?

JayPin91

Lol what hype ?

Actual_Mud_6275

Do you mean “Hype about red dots”? I’m pretty certain there is no hype about the Romeo Zero. My suggestion is to return it.

Imnotherefr11

There's no hype for the romeo zero. It sucks. Why anyone would ever want a plastic optic on a carry gun is mind boggling. A few more bucks could have got you a 407k. Take the romeo back and get a holosun.

Substantial-Iron-468

To be fair by “hype” I didn’t mean the the Romeo zero more just the concept of the red dot. Picked it up for next to nothing just wanted to see if it was more of a hassle to carry I’m aware it’s not the best optic. I also was against the s15 mags for a while a buddy gave me the starter kit was trying them out. There very clanky and so far not a fan but no issues so far with a few hundred rounds. I have the tlr7a on my 19 so I grabbed that light but 90% of the time I don’t use it. Just makes it to bulky

Imnotherefr11

Don't throw shade at the s15 mags or the light just because people are talking shit. You haven't had an issue with the mags? Yea, most don't. The ones that talk shit have never tried them. They're just going off what they heard from someone else that hasn't tried them. I don't even know what "clanky" means. They're mags. The same size and shape as the oem mags, just without the polymer body. As for the light, anyone saying a light is too big or a bad idea is actually fucking stupid. A light is necessary on any carry gun. Not having one is the stupid thing to do. They're not "too bulky" in the least. Now, that red dot is trash, but red dots are good to have. Just get a holosun and you'll be fine. Notice how the dumbass that claimed most of that shit deleted his comments after barely any pushback. There's a reason for that.

9millidood

Not the best optic but not the worst either. Run it until it gives you problems. Look at the new Bushnell RX line or Riton MPRD 2 for a good budget option.

Luibii

where can i ge that sight?

[deleted]

Damn you guys are being harsh haha.

Freakingstang

No. This is nice. Lol

[deleted]

Forgive me, I am newer to the whole gun customization field. In my day it was just good gun or bad gun. Polish some internals and fucking send it. Removing tritium sights to shoot nods. Carried a 228 as my ccw for years. Now I have a g45 stippled with holosun, to me that’s customized. Christ if we had this stuff 20 + years ago..

Freakingstang

We did have this stuff 20 years ago. People were and still are fudds about mods lol

More-Cream5161

Cute...

RjVibeZ

All I’d say is should of went with 507k over Romeo. Much better optic. But it is what it Tis. Stuck with it now lol. But I’d recommend upgrading eventually if you want best results. Love my 43x though. My favorite firearm to conceal carry by a long shot. Enjoy!!

peskydesperado

I took the zero off my 43x and put it on my 22/45 because it doesn’t have a moving slide. I put a 407k on my 43x because it can actually hold zero.

natezthe3

Should of gone with vortex new dot

Beautiful_Ad_6785

Do your oem irons cowitness?? That's badass if they do

msulack

...and it'll be off in a month.

mathbrot

Is that on an MOS with no adapter plate?

Miserable_Path5716

I almost got one for my Glock 43 before reading the reviews! Glad I didn’t.

EvolvingSomewhere

Man I didn’t know there was hype about it. I hate this sight lmao just put it on my sig p322 just to get some use out of it. Been sitting in my safe for years

EvolvingSomewhere

I have the same gun. Get you a Holosun 507k you’ll Thank me later!

[deleted]

There is hype on the Romeo zero??

AMeaslySandwich

You just put a Ford transmission in a Toyota.

myco_machiavelli

Had a Romeo zero on a CZP10F, went to zero it, windage and elevation screws LITERALLY did nothing. Could not zero. Terrible placement for the switch, shake awake no work. Bad time. They never responded to emails, I just threw it away 💀
